Drachen stood in front of a mirror, admiring his appearance. He was about 6'1 with a refined body from physical training over the years. His light brown wavy hair was styled to have more on top than the sides and his facial features & jawline were sharp with his auburn eyes being deep and mysterious. He was at the time wearing a jet black silk hoodie with dark jeans and a pair of Nike Air Mags.Combining his facial appearance with his body's shaped him up to be a handsome boy.As he looked at himself in the mirror for about the dozenth time due to nerves about his first day at school, he strolled out the room with a grin on his face.

Over the roar of the sleek and high agility Tesla Roadster, Drachen pondered about what do with the clan rebelling against him becoming head as not only was he 16, he also was Dark Arts practitioner. He quickly came to the conclusion that this was a problem for another time and that he should be looking forward to going to the Academy and socialising with others his age for the first time

Drachen sat next to Charlotte in the back seat and was being driven to the Academy by Edmund. Yes, Edmund the mayor. After some begging, he finally convinced Drachen to let him drive him there in an attempt to get on good terms with the new head of the Maxim clan and even took out his best car.

"Drachen is there a problem?" Charlotte asked seeing him thinking so hard. Drachen cooly tilted his body towards her and shook his head before quickly turning his head when he felt his heartbeat increase from their eye contact. Charlotte also felt her heartbeat increase and did the same. The car ride was a silent journey after this event

The Academy was extremely tall measuring 787 ft in height making it stand out among the masses and live up to its name as the best Mage Academy in the country. This school could only be attended by either Grade 3 and 4 Magicians for free, which is by decree of the country to nurture magicians that can help the country grow, or by paying the Annual fee of 4,500 Nubiles (Nubiles is the country's currency). The students that attended had to be from 12-21 years old so the 12 & 13-year-olds would be taught together than the 14 & 15-year-olds and so on.

Every subject was studied there ranging from Politics to Transmutation Magic such as Shapeshifting. The top three most popular in the Academy are :

Magic Empowerment: This allows the User to enhance physical abilities like Strength, Speed, Durability and Agility.

Elemental & Nature Magic: This allows the User to create, shape and manipulate the basic elements of nature, the rudimentary, simplest or essential parts/principles of which nature consists such as the four elements and other things such as Crystal, Snow and Pressure.

Magic Manipulation: This allows the User to create, shape and manipulate magic, the impersonal source of energy that is both external and internal, existing in people, places and objects, and can be transmuted by the user into magical powers that yields upstanding results in both practice and combat.

Grade 4 magicians are able to practice up to 4 types of magic of which 2 are their Primary magic and the other 2 are secondary magic whilst Grade 3 magicians practised 2 Primary and 1 Secondary magic, Grade 2 magicians practised 1 Primary and 1 secondary magic and finally Grade 1 magicians practised 1 Primary magic. These magicians would have a higher affinity with their Primary magic and vice versa with Secondary magic.

Drachen falls under the Grade 4 magicians with his 2 Primary magic being Dark arts & Darkness manipulation as well as his 2 Secondary magic being Dark energy Manipulation & Dark matter manipulation.

The Dark Arts: This allows the User to induce curses upon People, Objects and Places. It also allows the User to perform Blood sorcery in which the User can control others blood and summon demons using their blood.

Darkness Manipulation: This allows the User to control the Darkness and Shadows around them and its properties. The uses of this are endless allowing the User to cloud themselves in darkness as defence and even created objects out of their Shadows to use for attacking. This type of magic is most strong in a dark place and most weak in places without darkness

Dark Energy Manipulation: The user can create, shape and manipulate dark energy, usually drawn from inter-dimensional or other similar sources. It can be channelled to a variety of effects as an absence of light, a solid, gaseous and/or liquid substance that can be shaped/manifested in various ways.

Unlike Darkness Manipulation, which draws from the similar source, dark energy focuses on direct, destructive and violently outwards directed aspect of the spectrum. 

Dark Matter Manipulation: Controlling dark matter can allow the User to manipulate space and time and even use this to create portals in the space-time continuum. The User can also manipulate the weak force (W.I.M.P) which causes radiation. Through this power, a user will be able to generate and control different types of radiation.

Drachen since he was a child, was interested in magic. His mansion used to have a library that was filled to the brim with books of everything magic, hungrily devouring whatever knowledge he could find. In those days life was easy and relaxing until his M.A.T at 12 (Magic Aptitude Test) that changed his life into a living hell and made the days before seem like a fantasy.

Drachen had taken some precautions when he was entering Imperial Mage Academy seeing as he practised the Dark Arts and wouldn't be allowed to enter even if he was part of the Maxim clan. Normally, upon entry, the Academy would do an M.A.T on students and from then on placing them in the classes that they have an affinity in. Drachen, with the mayor's help, skipped this test and picked the classes he wanted to be in. These were, of course, classes that he had an affinity for and classes such as Magic manipulation, Magic empowerment and Elemental & nature magic.

Whilst he walked towards the entrance of the Academy, he couldn't help but be excited, even though he was a 16-year-old boy he acted like a child. As he thought of joking about with friends and having 'private time' with his future girlfriend, he started to drool making the onlooking staff & students think that a boy with mental problems had transferred to their school.
