Master Of All
Chapter 1

Chapter 1

“WELCOME TRAINEE! You have been selected to participate in the revolutionary training program that will change the very face of the world. You have been selected to be trained as a !@#$$@#@ .” said a booming voice that resonated from the very wall of the room. I looked around the room once more trying to find anything that I had missed in the past two days that I had been trapped in the room.

The room was inside of a dungeon. The dungeon was a F ranked dungeon that has been explored and conquered many hundred of times and every inch mapped. At least that was what our group’s trainer had said as he explained what we were supposed to do that day.

The day had started out as normal as it could. I along with my fellow trainees had got up an hour before the sun. We had just completed our morning routine when our teacher had announced that we would be exploring the F ranked dungeon near our town. To say we were excited and thrilled would be an understatement as this would mark our beginning as an adventurer.

I had been excited to begin my new life as an adventurer. I enrolled in the Adventure Guild as a trainee after my coming of age ceremony last month. The day had been full of excitement and fear as the ceremony entailed receiving a Blessing from God.

Blessings that could affect how one would live his or her life from then on, or at least that is what it felt to me. For many the blessing they received would not affect how they lived. But for some the Blessing would change their lives forever.

The blessing that I received was named ‘Master of ALL’. I had been very excited to receive such an awesome sounding blessing at first but it deflated as I learned what it entailed. My blessing allowed me to learn and master everything that I wanted to, there would be no boundary for the skills and ability that I could learn. But I would have to work twice as hard as others to master them.

You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.

For example, if I had received the blessing related to Fire Magic I would have learned the basic fire spell Fireball immediately. My blessing allowed me to learn the fireball spell but I would have to learn the basics of magic first. I would have to learn how to absorb the mana in the air, how to circulate it around my mana channels, how to store it, how to change its properties to align it with fire only then would I be able to cast the basic Fire magic spell fireball. Receiving the Fire magic blessing would have imparted me with the knowledge I required and my journey as a Fire Mage would have begun with little inconvenience.

As it was my biggest enemy at that moment was money. The blessing I had received could make me the greatest individual to walk the earth as I could learn and master everything that I wanted, but to do that I would require a great amount of time and money.

The issue of time could be solved if I could find a mage willing to teach me as mages are known to live for a very long time if they can reach the Master level of their element. The problem would be finding a mage willing to teach me and finding the money to pay him. All academies that teach magic only take in individuals that have a blessing related to magic, others need not apply.

You could consider that I had a blessing related to magic in some way, as I could learn to weave mana and perform spells. But to the mages I was not any better than anyone with non-magical blessing. As such I had decided to join the Adventure Guild as they were the only other option available to me if I wanted to learn magic.

The Adventure Guild is a guild of individuals that take on quests in exchange for money. The quests can be as easy as finding a lost puppy or as hard as fighting a horde of monsters. The guild offers classes to its members in exchange for points that can be gained from completing quests. One can attend these classes as long as they have the required points even if they cannot learn anything from it. As such a month ago I found myself joining the Guild as a trainee.
