Chapter 1.

Victoria groaned as she kicked open the hatch of her spaceship and surveyed the crash site. Thankfully it seemed she landed in some sort of desert, nothing for miles around except for a massive smoking crater. There, sitting prettily amongst the burning rubble and dust was the last remaining “gift” she got from her father. It was a true testament to Kryptonian engineering that even after such a violent crash landing there wasn’t so much as a single scratch on the hull of her ship.

The same couldn’t be said for the mountain it plowed through, sadly.

Victoria was just built different.

She’ll just rest here for a bit until she recovers from her trip.

Kryptonians were made of sterner stuff than most, but even she felt her insides twisting after getting sucked into that wormhole. It felt nice, bathing in real sunlight and breathing in air that hasn’t been recycled a million times over. It just tasted different.

Good things never seemed to last though and she had to soon get up and get to work. It was time to find a new home for her and Kal. According to her ship’s computer, despite the little hiccup they encountered, it still made it to Earth. Her baby cousin was still asleep in the stasis chamber so it was up to her to find a new home for the both of them in this strange yet familiar world. After thinking it over for a few minutes and deciding that her chances of finding the Kents were slim to none, she decided on the next best place.

Antarctica. If it works for Superman, it works for her.

Time to build The Fortress of Solitude.
