Archival Report #1218
Written by:
Researcher Maxwell Durrick
Discovered by:
Researcher-In-Training Imani Davis (Deceased)
Gateway Status: Unclear - Likely Mobile
Habitability Rating: 2 - No food or water present. No atmosphere.
Description:
The Gateway was discovered inside of Research Facility Omega having taken the place of a janitorial closet. The gateway remains open, but the room has been sealed by airlock to any with exploratory clearance below 2C.
Opposite from the Gateway is a further - nested - Gateway leading into dimension #1219, “Dead Space”. This Gateway may not be accessed by any with exploratory clearance below 1A.
Dimension #1218, hereby referred to as “The Room”, is a bounded dimension consisting of a 10 foot by 10 foot room made entirely of an unknown metal. In the center of the room is a single, rectangular table and two small chairs. The items are fused to the floor and are, presumably, made of the same material as the floor, ceiling, and walls.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
Exploratory Procedures:
All members of the Exploratory Team must have an exploratory clearance meeting or exceeding 2C.
All members of the Exploratory Team must be equipped with a Tier 2 Pressurized Extravehicular Mobility Unit. Upon entering the airlock, the Designated Team Leader must initiate the depressurization sequence, allowing the airlock to reach total vacuum.
Immediately upon entering The Room, the Designated Team Leader is required to stand at attention in front of the Nested Gateway leading into Dimension #1219. If this door is opened, all members of the Exploratory Team will immediately cease to exist. If the gateway is not promptly closed, this cessation of reality may spread outwards into our own.
Further Action:
This dimension is currently closed to all but the Board of Directors and the Exploratory Committee. No further actions are allowed at this time.
