The walls of the city were beginning to fall, the elite forces have mostly lost to high class demons. The knights had to do their sworn duty, they needed to protect the royals. This was Eliza's chance, she decided to take it.

Skill(s): Markluzian One-handed sword art, Yellow Dragon's Basic Sword Art, Snake Dojo's Advanced Movement, Fifteen strikes of the burning palm, etc.

The two knights that usually watched over her where forced to join the others in protecting the prince. They had to prioritize the life of the prince over the orders he gave them. She slipped away from the battlefield and ran to the east.
Floating swords began to form around her, each formed through her personal skill. Given enough metal she can make as many swords as she'd like so long as her mana allowed it. The swords moved according to her whims, the ability complimented her talents with the weapon. The martial arts that she learned through the prince's instructor were invaluable to her growth.
Battles at the frontlines along with the training provided gave her an astonishing Aura Value.
She had a rare glint in her eyes that was normally hard to come by. She was enjoying the chaos. With the failing defense and the retreat of the royals, barely anyone would know where she went. The sound of metal clanging with armor, the smell of burnt wood and flesh.
These senses were all in the backburner for her, Eliza's focus was on one thing. She wanted to escape.
Eliza's talents with the sword can be said to be at the level of a genius. A step above the nobles and leagues ahead of the regular elite soldiers. She picked up the techniques that were taught to her upon only seeing them a few times and her naturally high aura values made it easy for her to execute them. The earth demons that so many others, even the elites themselves struggled with were merely targets that are slightly harder to cut. In the current battlefield, only the royals and a handful of nobles can be said to be equal in terms of talent.
She jumped from tree to tree, anything that got in her way were either slashed in half by the sword she held or punctured by the swords that floated around her. The only threats to her were the high-class demons and the orc leaders, which are all occupied by the elites.
Eliza's freedom was almost at hand.

The earth demons were at a level that the captains were having trouble with. Only aura-enhanced strikes were capable of even scratching the Nakura's hard skin. A few of the other captains have already fallen, while the remaining ones struggled to keep up.
Hektor and a few others took it upon themselves to clean up the battlefield, taking down as many of the imps and goblins as they could. Protocol would recommend that they retreat but due to the sheer number of foes, this was no longer an option.
A blue barrier barrier appeared in front of Hektor as he braced himself for impact. Three earth demons were in front of him, one of which seemed more powerful than the other two. Most of the earth demons carried a weapon yet this one seemed to be unarmed. It only watched from the back as the other two charged towards Hektor.
"Fuwooooo." Hektor whistled, calling onto his birds once more. He spun around covering his spear with aura bent on slashing through at least one of them. A few of his birds died in their assault but his spear cut through the tough exterior of the Nakura on his left.
He drained far more aura but the result spoke for itself, one down.

The second one swiped at its eyes and rushed towards the spearman, the crows did their job. This demon appears to be carrying an iron club. The overhead strike it prepared was swiftly dodged by the teen. The ground shook slightly and a small crater formed around the region that the weapon struck.
'Slow…but powerful.' Hektor thought, now aware of the reason why the others were troubled by these demons. He knew that they would be threatening but their raw power alone was enough to back the claims.
The demon continued to swing, each one stronger than the rest. Hektor was sure that even if he fortified his body with aura or used the mana barrier, a single strike from them could prove fatal.
"Platform." Hektor commanded the earth sprites, the patch of land around his legs sprung up while he focused aura on his legs.
The blue hue created by his Blue Sky Spear Art along with the natural purple from his own drawn out by the Markluzian Spear Art. An explosive thrust that shattered the club, tearing a hole straight through the earth demon.
Fusing the two moves drained a lot of aura from Hektor, but he knew that to prolong the battle would just waste his time. He couldn't afford to stay longer, the horde behind these demons are getting larger.

He was at almost five thousand just a few seconds before. The third one wasted no time in saying hello. Hektor barely had enough time to fortify his body, the Mana Barrier he created shattered the moment he created it. He was sent flying right at a tree, all from a single kick.
"Firebolt." The two flame sprites did as they were told. Each sending a ball of fire.
"Firebolt." Hektor called out while he struggled to stand.
Four balls of fire were sent flying towards the demon, the last few shots that the spirits had for the day. Hektor took a huge blow, to both his aura and his body.

The spearman took a deep breath while he scanned the battlefield once more. He watched as a few more earth demons arrived, the other captains have already fallen. More and more of the horde was engulfing the battlefield. He knew that continuing to fight would only spell death.
"Platform." He said as he looked towards the direction with the smallest density of monsters. With the last bit of mana that the earth sprites had they aided their master in his attempt to escape.
Blue aura coated his entire body, both empowering him and aiding his dash for survival. Once again left with no choice but to flee, Hektor bit his tongue in anger.
While knowing his limits might be the reason why he was still alive, he still felt frustration towards himself. 'WHY? WHY? WHY?' He thought.
'Why am I still so weak?'
