Q: Will we learn who the mysterious Madame A is?
A: Yes we will. She will be integral to the plot but not so much in the immediate future. Later down the line, we'll see her backstory and how she came to squadron O.
Q: I suppose I can refer to the character Joan as a sort of Werewolf (or Wolverine?). How exactly does she not break her nails?
A: She does. All the time. She's just very good at her job in her improvisation. An especially long nail breaks in two? She can now use the broken half for something else and the one on her finger as a different tool. But this method is for her normal, daily ongoings.
For delicate, once-chance-or-death sort of operations, she has preprepared nails she uses. Since she treats these nails more like surgical knives than nails, they don't break due to her skill as a medic. Sort of like using a katana. Mishandle it and don't cut on it's sharp side and it will crumble and break but when wielded properly, it's a tool that can withstand thousands of cuts.
Do note that her nails are sturdier and sharper than most nails in general so that helps as well.
Q: Will we get to see a little bit more of Skillshar and his deeds? He is an intriguing character!
A: He'll pop up moreso on GIn's side of the story than Syndra's. But he will. Along with Elivia, Skilshar is part of Jack's core trio.
Q: Can we get more Artemis/Diana? Quite an enigmatic character! Extremely enigmatic.
A: The opposite happens here where she'll show up in Syndra's side of the story more. But as leader of squadron O and because of her unique battle style, she won't be leading the charge anywhere. So she'll most likely play another supportive, defensive sort of role and show up again when the dust settles in the future novels.
Q: Is there a secret meaning behind the name “Wontiferus Poxim?”
A: Well, yes. One personal story actually. When I first started writing, I actually wrote magikind as a joke. Most of the characters were based on my real life friends. Including myself. And there wasn't any real story originally. I was writing for fun. Side characters were cardboard cutouts and 2d. Plot was abysmal. Lots of in-jokes I wrote just to appease my friends who thought it was funny.
But at some point it sort of got serious. And I was really immersed in my own world and I wanted to make the book an actual thing that anyone would read. Some in-jokes remain here and there but otherwise I fleshed out everything. Introduced some characters not based on anyone. Plot became more expansive. I honed my craft so that book 1 can be a base I learn and build upon and book 2 onwards is where everything really shone. So I'm glad the unanimous consensus is people like book 2 more. Anyway, I digress.
The reason I said all that is because the meaning behind the name is a silly one. One of my real life friends has a nickname just because his real first name was just obscenely long. So his character is Wo Pim...with an obscenely long first name. That's it. The last name, poxim is made up of the words pox and vernim though.
Q: What were the motives behind Samantha betraying Gin and the village?
A: A mixture of helplessness, disdain for her upbringing, love and fear for her own life. She hasn't lived a bad life growing up per se, but her views are very warped.

Q: Is it possible that Samantha is Wontiferus Poxim’s child?
A: Well, anything is possible. But do you want to know the truth? Spoilers:
Yes. She is. Heh.
Q: Can we get more Wontiferus Poxim?
A: Yes, defiitely.
Q: There was a string of silver hair found. Was it related to Wo Pim, the only silver-haired mage thus far? Is Poxim a potential double-agent or an outright traitor?
A:
A poxim, yes. But not Wo heh.
Q: Is it possible that we will get a sort of prequel to the Magikind, set in a different time? Before the apocalypse?
A: actually yes. I have something in mind of a time set slightly ahead of our own but well before mages became dominant.
Q: Is it possible to get a mythology of Magikind written separately?
A: Also yes. I want to write an anthology eventually of different events in human history with all the different things mages did that manush simply misunderstood.
Q: Are Xernim man-made or Mage-made?
A: Manush made. There's a reason why there's quite a bit of disdain for them.
Q: How did Gin not figure out Sam was a woman all this time? Was Sam really that good at hiding it?
A: One thing the written medium doesn't really convey all too well is sound. With a voice as gruff as hers, you'd assume she was a man as well. Though that's due to her condition and not some sort of act that she sounds that way now. (The sam of gin's past sounded feminine).
Q: Why didn’t Diana liquidate Samantha?
A: Diana knew who she was and what she intended to do. The issue is that it all sort of falls into her plans. That and, with her Xernim mentality, she doesn't particularly care about the means but the end goal. Deleting Sam from existence would hinder that quite a bit. I will say that not everyone are exactly what they seem, so bear that in mind too.
Q: Is Maria interested in Arthur?
A: Politically? Yes. Romantically? Nope. Never.
Q: Is it possible for Jack to ever go back to the side of EA?
A: Not necessarily EA, but potential to be back with squadron W.
Q: Have most manush really gone extinct?
A: Yes. Either died off or had their children become mages. Let's say that the world is inhabitable for our modern day humans and I'm not talking about the war going on.
Q: What exactly is Artemis/Diana’s ability? From what I understand, she can create a flower field and send people to sleep. Is there anything else? I feel like I’m missing something.
A: She can also induce her poor victims to tell the truth. Now, the truth may not be reality but the person is unable to straight out lie. She also has manipulation over certain plants in general.
Q: Does Gin ever require to maintain his nanobots? Perform some sort of diagnostics on it or repairs?
A: On the most part, no. The nanobots are recycled and remade automatically. They're solar powered in terms of the INS. As for the ones in Gin's body, they use Gin as a resource whenever their numbers get depleted to an extent. However, with major blood loss, Gin will need to recuperate them and he often has syringes whenever that happens as you may have seen already.
Of course, there are efficiency issues and the nanobots will age and be unable to recycle and reform. But that process takes years, if not decades, so it's a non-issue for the most part.
Q: Why do the mages despite the Xernim technology? I can guess it was created by the manush but why the disdain towards it?
A: It was created by manush, yes. Mages disdain come from the reason for it to exist. Reason why? Greed. To counter the lucrative business of prosthetics and machines, a natural approach was created instead which garnered a lot of support and money.
Q: Did Maria know of Gin’s existence before he joined squadron W? Has Wontiferus ever mentioned him or the village?
A: Yes. In fact, if not for Wo informing her beforehand, she would never have admitted him the first place.
Q: Could the mages Gen fought that he referred to as zombies be from the TA?
A: They are essentially zombies. Are they from TA? Not quite.
Q: Who is Madam A?
A: A medic. Simple as that. Though an important one for a story yet untold.
