~Ai Perspective~

Yen sleeps soundly on the bed.

Ai: [Hmm the interrogation did not go well I thought he would spill after he experienced my skills.]

Ai looks down at the sleeping Yen frustratedly.

Ai: “Maybe I should interrogate him again later…”

Frederica: “Yes, yes we need to go to classes now though since the first class is going to start soon.”

Frederica pulls Ai out of the room and closes the door behind them.

Ai: “Okay. I’ll pet him again when we get back from class.”

Ai and Frederica start running to class.

–In class–

History teacher: “Today we will learn about the long and extensive history of the Holy Country of Aspen.”

Ai: [Blah blah… so boooring. The last few days have been exciting though they were also rather sudden what with mom suddenly deciding to move us to the school on a whim.]

Ai sighs at the suddenness of it all.

Ai: [The school is nice and I’ve made friends here so that’s great. I also got to see Yen casting cool magic which is rare since there weren’t many chances back at the old home. I’m kinda bad at magic so it is fun seeing his spells.]

Ai lays her head down on the table and her eyes slowly close. The teacher doesn’t notice her actions since half the class is also sleeping.

Ai: *Yaaawn* [I wonder what happened last night though… I couldn’t sleep cause I was worried about Yen but it seems like he’s okay now…] *zzzzzz*

Ai falls asleep and begins snoring loudly. Of course, the teacher doesn’t seem to care since by now ¾ of the class was asleep.

–After Class–

*Bing Bong Bing Bong*

The bells for the end of class toll slowly and rouse Ai from her pleasant nap.

Ai: “Fueh? Ah it’s the end of class… I should go look for Freddie now since we have self improvement this period.”

Ai gets up from her seat and walks out of the class.

Ai: [Hmm she said she would be waiting in front of the library for me so that we could go to the training field together.]

Ai quickly finds Frederica sitting on a bench outside the library.

Ai: “Freddie!”

Frederica: “Hello Ai. How was history class?”

Ai: “Hm? What history class?”

Frederica sighs and whispers to herself.

Frederica: “Ah… I see she fell asleep huh…”

Ai: “Did you say something Freddie?”

Frederica: “Nope, nothing. Let’s go to the training field,”

Ai: “Okay.”

Ai and Frederica walk towards the training field while chatting a bit.

Frederica: “These uniforms are quite high tech you know?”

Ai: “Really? How so?”

Frederica tugs at the fabric a bit.

Frederica: “This fabric is imbued with magic and can take a fairly good amount of wear and tear. Though it won’t prevent blades, it can

mitigate some magic damage and won’t tear easily.”

Ai: “Huh… I thought that was normal since Yen makes some magic fabric for mom often.”

Frederica: “Yen is quite talented huh.”

Ai: “Yup! He’s the best.”

Ai and Frederica end their conversation when they reach the training field.
