A woman ran through the halls of an office building. The white walls and ceiling along with the gray carpet flooring a commonality among the office buildings in this area. Specifically New York City.
The woman had long orange hair, green eyes, fair skin, curvy body, and stood at 6'1. She wore a black and orange striped sweater with black sweatpants. She also wore black sneakers, and had a beauty mark on her left cheek.
She burst into a room, panting heavily.
"Ahh, Fox! Wondering when you'd get here." A short man with a freshly shaved beard and mustache spoke.
As the woman, Fox, looked up; she was greeted by her six other friends, also the six other developers.
She glanced at the short male, the second shortest in the group. He stood at 5'5, having short black hair with a freshly shaved beard and mustache. He had brown skin and dark brown eyes, and had more of a skinnier body type. He wore a long sleeve black shirt with gray cargo pants and black boots.
"Don't bash me Ulrich! The traffic getting here was absolutely insane!" She said, catching her breath as she stood up straight. "I'm so excited though! I really hope they like how I made the UI!" She said, sitting on a desk. The room they were in was quite large, sporting 7 high end computers, monitors, and the such. The walls were navy blue and the floor was black with white stripes. In the front of the room were large windows that gave them a view of the city below.
"I'm sure you did a good job, Foxy!" A smaller boy stood staring out the window. He had on a white hoodie with the game's thumbnail on it. He wore black white shorts and black shoes. He had pale skin, short black hair, and silver eyes. He looked to be around 14 years old. He stood at 5'3.
They had companies stationed in various places in the world. South Korea, China, India, Canada, Russia, The Middle East, some places in Europe, some places in South America, Australia and of course America itself.
"You know, I've always wondered, kiddo. Why did your parents name you Static?" A taller male with short brown hair with brown skin asked. He had yellow eyes and a lean physique. He stood at 6'4, wearing a black compression shirt and white sweats with gray sneakers.
"Well, Mareth... If you MUST ask. When I was bored, my dad decided to pull the ULTIMATE prank on me before I even had a single thought of getting him back. He named me after something random in the hospital room, and after spinning around for around a minute. He saw a static TV. So he named me Static." Static said, quietly tapping on his phone.
"I wonder, why are you named Mareth?" A woman with green hair that went down to her shoulders spoke. She was sitting on a spinning chair, eating a hoagie. She wore a forest green shirt with a black skirt that went to her knees. She was also quite slim and had dark skin. She appeared to be 5'10.

"I dunno Sorra. Why do you eat so much?-" Mareth got a crumpled piece of tin foil thrown at him.
"Why you!-" Sorra was held back by Fox and Ulrich, Mareth laughing at the sight.
"Calm down everyone." A tall man about 6'5 with short black hair, silver eyes, and a more muscular, but still lean physique spoke up. "No fighting. We have to be ready. We have 5 minutes till release." He wore a black suit and tie, wanting to be dressed nice for the occasion.
"It's alright Vatel. It's just how they interact." A man said, chucking to himself. He also stood at 6'5, having long black hair and brown skin. He had purple eyes. He wore a black trench coat and shirt, along with black pants and boots. This was the first ever developer for Magical Heritage, Emopa.
Vatel sighed and looked at everyone. "Am I the only one that cares about this?"
"Course not! We're all excited. I haven't felt like this since our first ever meeting." Emopa said with a smile on his face.
"Ready guys?" Vatel asked, a button in his hand.
"Yeah!" Everyone said in unison as Vatel smiled.
"How about we surprise the masses and drop the game early?" Static asked, kicking his feet as he leaned against the window.
Vatel nodded. "Great idea! Ready! Three, Two..."
Meanwhile, in a distant lab in Nevada, scientists were scratching their heads at what they picked up. They noticed that some parts of the world were having small earthquakes, but they couldn't tell where the epicenter was.
A NASA facility in Texas received infrared imaging from a telescope, and what they saw made them shiver a bit. There was a giant cold spot, but calling it a spot was an understatement, more like a gap.
"One!" Vatel pressed the button. Right when he did so, everything began to shake violently, as if an earthquake had struck.
"The hell?!" Fox immediately grabbed onto something as the lights in the building began to flicker.
Everyone's phone went off, alerting them of earthquakes around the globe ranging from 5.7-9.4.
New York itself was experiencing a 8.9 magnitude earthquake.
Static looked down and saw parts of the ground split open. "Oh, that's not good!"
The earthquake itself only seemed to get worse. Suddenly, the building shook violently and began to tilt.
"Static, get away from the window!" Fox yelled as a desk slid down, hitting static in the abdomen and shattering the glass. The last thing he heard were his screams.
"No time! Come on guys!" Vatel yelled, grabbing Ulrich and Fox before running out of the room with Emopa, Mareth, and Sorra following after them.
When they reached the hallway, the building dropped suddenly, pinning them against the wall adjacent to the leaning. They braced for impact as the top half of the building dropped, Mareth whispering prayers before the building crashed into the ground. Everything went black.
