??? : "Target down, I repeat, Target down..."

??? #2 : "This motherfucking monster, its STILL not dead!!"

Keeping a respectable distance around a soon to be corpse slumped up against a wall were six heavily armed men, decked out in full combat attire. Strewn around them were the remnants of the bodies of the other two hundred and fifty four men who made up their unit, lathering the walls floor and ceiling with dismembered limbs, severed heads, various internal organs and blood, LOTS of blood.

Soon to be corpse : "Ha, to think I would be bested, here of all places... and by these humans "

Soldier : "Shut up MONSTER!!"

Directly after the voiced complaint the soldier let off a long burst with his assault rifle straight into the chest of the abominable terror propped against the wall.

The monster took the entire burst with only a loud groan, the last bits of its lifeforce about to leave it.

Soldier #2 : "It took alot of good men and women, as well as alot of time and the good fortune to find you heavily injured but in the end, it was worth it..."

The solder said, pressing his boot down onto the things chest.

Soldier #2 : "For under my boot lies the last vampire elder... Their GRAND elder, the oldest of them all... How does it feel, to have watched the fall of your fellow monsters? To sit back and not join the fray until the end as a trump card, only to have the entire fight go awry and lose everything? It must absolutely suck..."

At that moment the vampire on the ground started laughing, much to the confusion of the remaining soldiers, who backed off instantly and took up defensive positions around the almost dead behemoth of an enemy who, even on its deathbed, was frightening to behold.

Vampire : "You, you actually think that I of all people am the grand elder, let alone the last elder? Are you senile? Stupid? Idiotic? Or just dumb? There is no way that a young existence such as I would ever be considered our grand elder!"

Soldier #2 : "Oh ho, now you are just lying out your ass arn't you, you little bugger,"

The solder stated as he unleashed another burst from his specialized assault rifle. The Vampire just groaned from the tiny bit of damage which he had taken.

Soldier #3 : "We have extracted the memories of several vampires, one of them was a class four, such as yourself, and they all confirmed that you have the position of leader. No use in trying to scare us monster, we have come prepared..."

It scoffed at that, causing another burst of bullets to be emptied into its chest.

Vampire : " Prepared? Have you looked behind you?"

Soldier #4 : "YOU MOTHERFUCKER YOU STILL JOKE, EVEN LIKE THIS???"

And at that a different soldier unloaded a clip into its chest.

Vampire : *Groan* The vampire let out a burst of laughter once more, then turned serious as it could sense its life was coming to an end soon.

"Despite what you may think of me or my kind, I will still leave you some food for thought....

By provoking us and pushing us to this point, you only have yourself to blame for what comes next..."

Soldier #1 : "And what is that smart ass"

Vampire : "Well wouldn't you like to know?"

The vampire broke out laughing again, and use the last dregs of strength to form something in its hand, roughly the size of a basketball. To the average person it looked only like a floating red disk, swirling above the persons hand, but to the soldiers who were trained to fight these monsters, it was an extremely powerful explosive spell which would bring the entire building down on top of them. Even worse, the pulsing meant that it was armed and about to fire.

Solder #3 : "Look out! Its trying to bring the building down on top of us"

At that point all of the solders started running towards the nearest exit, as they ran they heard from behind them

Vampire : "I'm afraid I will have to take my body away from you, seeing as how you can access memories...

Wouldn't want you to try and prevent what you have coming now would I?

And remember....

You started this war...

You pushed us to survive...

You forced our hand on this matter...

And now...

You must face the consequences....

At that moment the bomb exploded, taking away any remaining hope of finding out what exactly this vampire was trying to say as his body disintegrated in a blazing inferno, along with the six soldiers who had been unable to make it anywhere near the end of the blast zone.
