Monstrous form or monstrous man

Monstrous form or monstrous man

‘Lights, lights so bright,

”ugghh”

“my” was all he got out. *bang!* Something hard and metal smashed into his face. The pain was blinding.

”shut up beast, did I say you could interrupt me! Foul creature, know your place. Disgusting wretch” a male voice practically spat in rage.

Before he could fully understand the words or the taste of iron in his mouth, he was hit again and the lights were finally gone.

—An unknown amount of days later—

“my head” his voice whimpered, barely audible. The pain was like a burning spike through his face and it seemed to stay at the same level for hours. Barely able to see he moved his body but.. everything felt off. His body crunched as he moved, it ached and bent at strange angles. He finally got the strength and will power to ignore some the of pain and move into what he thought was an upright position, before prompt falling over.

“Fu..” he said before stopping himself, remember the voice from earlier. The room was dark, the felt made of stone and cold. So cold. He could tell because his feet were bare on the ground. The air was damp and crisp, ‘fresh air is close’ his brain told him. He breathed deeply, closing his eyes to avoid the pain as much as possible and he could swear he could smell roast chicken, vegetables and gravy on the wind from somewhere.

He opened his one good eye and scanned the room again, still dark but there was light! A moon through a barred window.

He limped over awkwardly, his body feeling small and like a bag of rocks. His arms where strange, feet sounded weird.

as he got into the light.. “what the fuck?!” He said in shock as the light struck his carapace, chitichin armour coated him, stubbly little arms and fingers barely nubs greeted his sight. A sight of pure horror. Something was drastically wrong, he ran forward, almost tripping as he put more of his body into the light and inspect every knotch and chitichin plate.

”my arms! My hands!? My legs! What the. My DICK!? I have no dick!?”

“How!? How is this possible, I’m human! I’m a man!?” He screamed

“Quiet!” A voice screamed down the corridor. “Or I’ll get the master” it chuckled and walked off with the sound of clunking boots.

”Psst, hey, over here” someone whispered from across the hall. “You’ve got to be quiet, if you make too much noise the master will. You don’t want that. Trust me” the voice said, keeping quiet so their voice wouldn’t carry.

”what’s your name anyway stranger?”

‘Finally someone who’s not a homicidal maniac’ he thought moving from the light to the other side, of what he now realised was a cell.

“I’m Dean, where are we and what?” He didn’t even know how to phase the question, how was it possible to wake up looking like a mini ant/armourdillo hybrid.

”figured you’re up shit creak yet” he spat on the floor and moved closer to the bars and under the moon light dean saw his cell nieghbour was a man, no! A creature, a pale gaunt face with lifeless black eyes and teeth like a shark stared back at him, he may look like a man from his siliuette but the pale skin, black dead eyes and teeth said this was creature of death.

Dean, stared, aghast at the horror before him.

”Hahaha” the creature chuckled darkly, but quietly as he slid his back down the side of his cell and stared back at dean.

“You’re not so pretty yourself you little reptile, at least I’m somewhat human looking. You’re closer to a pigmy dragon” he still chuckled at his joke.

dean just kept staring, trying to process what the fuck kind of nightmare this was.

”keep staring, you won’t figure it out on your own. I can see your little mind working. No this is not a nightmare, yes I am a creature of death and despair and yes my pigmy friend. We, are totally fucked” he kept laughing like it was the most hilarious joke he’d ever told.

“Ahhh!” The dead creatures face burned as a ball of flames hit him. A Minotaur dressed in leather armour walked up to the cell out of the dark and smacked the bars.

”I said quiet!” He hissed, though how Dean could tell it was a he he’d rather not say, look up to the beasts face as it turn and point a wood figure on a wand at him, “and you, your luckily your face hasn’t killed you already. Keep talking and my face will be the last this you ever see” the Minotaur huffed hot breathe and marched back down the corridor into the darkness disappearing like a dream.

That was the last they spoke that night, as Dean moved away from the bars and huddled beneath the window that he could reach to see out of. All he could do was focus on the smells in the air and try to ignore the whimpering of the creature suffering before him.

He slept fitfully that night.
