Afterward

Hello everyone. Now that book one of Mage X Orc is finished I wanted to take a moment to speak about my future plans and what's coming next, and maybe address a few questions you may have.

Starting out, I will be taking a break to work on a personal project, so the next story will take a little while before it's ready for you. When that story does arrive it will not be a continuation of Mage X Orc, though I do have two more books planned for Nickolas and Necun don't you worry. Instead it will be a superhero political drama called My Life as an Alien Superhero. More on that when it's ready.

I'll be gone for a month and a half at least. With no new chapters for at least two months at current estimate, so sorry for the wait, but I promise it will be worth it.

Other than that I want to take this moment to explain a few things about my style of...let's call it community interaction. Starting out I should say that I read every comment. And every single one gives me the warm fuzzies, even if they're just correcting my grammar. It's amazing to have someone care enough about something I've written to take the time out and comment. Thank you. However, as much as I'm tempted too, I will not be replying directly to comments. Perhaps ever, but certainly not regularly. The reason for this is manyfold, but the primary reason is I believe in this age that the need for a solid wall between creator and audience is more necessary than ever. In short I hope to enforce death of the author. For those unfamiliar with that term I hold that my stories speak for themselves, and the extraction of meaning, subtext, and messaging is for the reader to decide. If I try to lay out a clear message in my work, but you don't pick up on it, then I will not correct you or point the message out. Likewise if you find a theme or message that I didn't intend, I also won't correct your interpretation. Combined with my personal desire for privacy I'm afraid that dries up the well of questions I can directly answer for any of you. If you want answers I'm afraid you'll have to search through my stories instead of an ama. The only time I will step in is to enforce base civility and respect in the comments section where I have the power to do you. Still, I directly encourage speculation and discussion. As stated previously it gives me the warm fuzzies.

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

Well, that's all I had to say to you fine folks, the rest of this is just going to be a legal disclaimer, have fun and enjoy the rest of your day.

Legal disclaimer:

I am the sole author and owner of this story, and any other such works posted under the CyborgStoryteller alias, and as the legal rights owner I in no way endorse or allow for my works to be used for any sort of A.I., algorithm, chat bot, learning program, or generative text program. I in no way allow, condone, or consent to my work being used in any way as training data, or otherwise by any company or organization that has not received direct hand written permission from me. In the event that my work, in whole or in part, is found to be present in training data, or used as such for any program the entity responsible must notify me immediately via any means at their disposal. Once I have been contacted the entity must both delete my work and any program trained on my work, and pay a penalty of one million US dollars to me within thirty standard days. This legal agreement applies to any entity that has viewed, downloaded, or scraped my work at any time. Failure to comply will result in further legal and monetary penalties up to forty million US dollars to be collected with or without the entities knowledge or permission.

This does not apply to any individual downloading my work for personal enjoyment, so long as they do not use my work for any sort of generative text program.

For those who read all of that I'm just a little paranoid about A.I. scraping my work. This is intended to prevent that, if only in a small way.
