Arthur slowly opens his eyes. A bright light pierces into his retina from an open window. He begins to hear a somber melody of birds singing and crickets chirping, it comforts him. "Damn, guess I ran out of mana." says Arthur aloud to himself.
Arthur looks around at his surroundings and becomes fascinated by the architecture and technology he had never seen before. "Woah! What is that thing?!" asks Arthur aloud; he meticulously and carefully inspects every inch of a laptop.
"That's called a laptop." says Maeda, who is now standing in the doorway. She can see a sparkle blooming in his eye as she walks over towards him. "If I press this button right here... the laptop will turn on."
"Ahhh! What kind of magic is this?!" inquires Arthur as he retrieves his notebook.
"I have told you before, it's technology, not magic." scoffs Maeda as she chuckles awkwardly.
"Sorry, I keep forgetting."
"Oh! You don't need to worry about getting in trouble with the police."
"Why would you get in trouble?"
"You killed a dozen men protecting us."
Arthur is confused about what she's saying. "Why would you get in trouble for defending yourselves. Do people not fight to the death in this world?" he asks while making eye contact with Maeda.
"No, what are you talking about?! Why would people fight to the death here?! And what do you mean about this world?!" Maeda was screaming question after question towards Arthur. He didn't have time to answer any of them.
"Family meeting!" shouts Haruto from a distant room. Maeda motions for Arthur to follow her, to which he obliges.
She leads him to a dining room where Haruto and Maeda's mother, Kaori, are sitting. "Have a seat." says Haruto as he motions towards the floor across from him.
"Okay." says Arthur as he slowly takes a seat.
"Now, since we are all here, I have a question."
"Okay, ask it."
"Just what the hell are you?!" screams Haruto as full volume.
Arthur smiles and begins to tell them the whole story. He told them about his life before he died, how he died, and when he was reborn. He also mentioned everything he could about magic and magical beasts. By the time he finished, both Haruto and Kaori where stunned.

"S-so you're saying... you're an alien?" asks Kaori. Her hand trembles as she takes a sip from her mug.
"Alien? I don't know what that means."
Maeda leans into Arthur's ear and whispers to him. "An alien is someone or something that's not originally from here."
"Ohh! Then I am an alien!"
"I believe him. He has powers that I have never seen before. It's like he was teleported here from some fantasy world." says Haruto.
Kaori doesn't believe anything she is told. The idea of magic and aliens had never been a possibility is her mind. "Sorry, I don't believe you. Your story doesn't make any sense! I mean, you really expect me to believe that you're an alien and that you can use this strange power called magic?!"
"Mom!" says Maeda who quickly gets hushed by her father.
"I know you don't believe his story, but when you picked us up our vehicle was completely disintegrated. Do you remember seeing our vehicle turn into dust? Did you see all the bodies?" asks Haruto.
"Yes, I remember. But do you really expect me to believe that this guy did that?!" shouts Kaori while pointing at Arthur.
"He did." Maeda chimes in.
Without him... I would be dead." says Haruto while grabbing his wife's hand.
A tear gently rolls down Haruto's cheek. "Thank you for saving me back then! I wasn't able to properly thank you... I'm sorry!" cries Haruto as he bows his head towards Arthur.
"It's fine. I was asked to." reassures Arthur.
"Ugh! I can't understand you guys! Did you really fall for his tricks?! There's just no way he has these powers!" shouts Kaori.
"Do you want me to show you?" asks Arthur calmly.
"Sure! Let's see what you got!" scoffs Kaori. She rolls her eyes in a mocking manner and chuckles to herself.
Arthur nods his head and closes his eyes. Static electricity spreads throughout the room causing everyone's hair to stand on end. A large sphere of lightning condenses above Arthur's head; it slowly morphs into the shape of a small Kaori and casually dances above him.
The lightning Kaori morphs into a warrior and moves to the left side of the room. He stands tall with his sword and shield drawn. An army of similar shaped warriors forms behind him. On the other side of the room, an army of numerous beasts form.
A lone mage lands on the ground in front of the beasts and an attack command is issued. The two armies charge towards each other and clash in a deadly battle of steel and fang, until the beasts reign victorious above a mountain of corpses.
Arthur ends his illusion and opens his eyes to see everyone staring at him intently. Kaori is shaking in her clothes. 'H-he actually has powers! A-and I... I harassed him!'
"I'm deeply sorry for my outburst earlier! Please don't hurt me!" Kaori cowers on the ground and pleads with Arthur.
"Haha! It's perfectly fine! I understand your specticism, the humans of this world don't use magic, according to Maeda. So, it would make sense as to why you would be confused."
"Thank you for accepting my apology!" cries Kaori. Haruto helps her off the ground.
"If you don't mind me asking, what was that?" asks Haruto.
"I just showed you the fall of the Vysterian Empire. The Empire was the world super power at the time of my youth and they used their power to constantly commit atrocities in the other nations. So, I created an army of beasts in order to defeat them."
"So, then, that mage was you?" asks Haruto.
"Yes." answers Arthur.
"Why can't humans here use magic?" asks Maeda who is feeling upset at her lack of magic.
"I'm not entirely sure. I'll have to examine the bodies of the men I killed, then maybe I'll have some clues. Can you take me back to the battlefield?"
"Yeah, sure." says Haruto reluctantly. 'I don't really want to go back there but... I owe him this.' he thinks to himself.
