In a cave surrounded by candlelight stands a man with purple eyes and scruffy black hair with a thin but muscular physique. He has a smile on his face as he looks down at the backpack in his hands. "I finally did it! I finally created a way to leave this place!" This man is Cyril AKA The Great Mage. Cyril grew up an orphan with only a first name. Eventually him and every other child at the orphanage was given to the Human military to be trained to fight in a war that has been going on for centuries.
"They can all shove it! Maybe I should just destroy them all and then leave...No I have already killed too many. Gods know how many innocents I killed already. "Cyril frowns as he clutches his backpack that contains all the materials to perform the spell. "I'll never get any more of this stuff. They are too rare. Thank you, Juan." Remembering how he got them, a tear rolls down his face. Juan was an old friend of Cyril's who was just as, if not smarter than Cyril. Juan didn't use magic the way Cyril did, but instead created magic tools. Most of them were weapons of war. Juan sought to escape the violence only to be killed while trying to escape. "Your genius was waisted here, Juan. I am sorry I could not protect you..."

He steps into the center of the room where a magic circle waits. Entering into the center of it, he grits his teeth before casting the spell. "TELEPORT!"
The circle begins glowing red and a white light envelops Cyril. In an instant he disappears. The next time he opens his eyes he sees a clear blue sky. "Beautiful." His original world has a bright red sky which always made him feel like he was born in Hell. Cyril lays there for a minute to admire the sky before noticing it feels too windy. He's been falling this entire time! 30,000 ft with only a hundred more to go leaving him only 2.5 seconds till he hits the grounds.
"Protection Lv.5!"
A blue light surrounds Cyril as he slams into the earth, creating a small crater. Cyril cast the highest-level protection spell he could to minimize the damage, but he fell too great of a distance to reduce it completely. The damage was enough to knock him unconscious. Before fading away a group of Humans surround him and all he can think is "Shit."
