Whoa they give me the chills. I mean it’s natural to have unique color of eyes but his gave me a jittery feeling. I plopped into the seat and my thoughts were cut off by the teacher.
“You can ask you know?” I heard a voice say. There wasn’t any sarcasm or emotion.
“Sorry, I’m new here. Didn’t know you owned the seat.” I said scoffing.
He didn’t reply and I felt a sense of accomplishment. He must have felt it when I heard him chuckle mockingly. The class went by with me regretting calling his eyes unique.
“Hey.” Safra said as we left the room.
“Hey, do you know about that boy, I mean my seatmate today.” I said.
“You mean Hardin Barilla. No one knows him really, he’s really mysterious.” She started. “He’s the only trending topic that has no subject.” She added.
“K…” I said a confused look on my face.
“Hey you, haven’t seen you around before.” A boy who looked like he had an entourage said.
“Yeah, that’s because I’m new.” I said somewhat snobbily and excused myself.
“Hmm… hey I didn’t say you could leave slut.” He said blocking my path and holding unto my arm tightly. I yanked it away from his grip and gave him a punch.
“Feisty.” He said wiping his mouth even though no blood was there only a bruise. I have to say I was proud of myself.
“Touch her one more time! I dare you.” I heard a familiar voice yell. I turned to see Paul rushing towards me. “I dare you.” He repeated angrier than before. Someone dragged me, Safra.
“Is that Paul?” she asked eying him seductively.
“Oh quit it.” I said disgustedly.
THUD!!!
We both rushed to see the jerk on the floor bleeding in different places and Paul breathing heavily hardly injured.
“Paul, that’s enough, you could get in trouble. Dad said we should keep a low profile.” I started as I saw him about to lunge himself at the jerk again. I didn’t know his name, what do you expect. He sighed and turned to leave.
“Never touch or hurt my sis again. You hear me?” He demanded. The jerk nodded.
“Paul, why did you do that?” I asked whilst cleansing the little bruises around his cheeks, jawline and face.
“What? I might hate you but I still love you and won’t let some pervert hurt you.” He said.
“Yes, my hero.” I said sarcastically. “You know we are trained by the person so why…” he cut me off. He was looking straight at Safra who was standing at the door.

“Oh quit with secrecy, Paul.” Safra said walking briskly towards us.
“Remember Safra, Safra Florentyne?” I asked, he still looked oblivious. “Your pumpkin?” I added. His eyes lit up.
“Pumpkin!” he exclaimed pulling her into a tight hug. They were sworn enemies and closer friends. But I will always remain her best friend. Safra looked delighted too.
“I missed you.” She said.
“You sure pumpkin?” he said sitting back down.
“Now I’m not so sure, you look too… much for a 16-year-old.” She said flirtatiously. I rolled my eyes.
“You know; I’ve always known you guys had crushes on each other.”
“...what; that is...so not...true.” Safra coughed. “Well we really need to go for class, we’ve missed a period already.” She flushed.
“Yeah, I’m fine already. All thanks to your love, sis.” He always did that whenever he wanted me to stop prying into things that embarrassed him.
“But what is so embarrass…’ The dang bell saved them.

Safra’s POV
I stood there admiring Paul. It’s been so long, I always mocked him about his stature, his soggy face, hair… but now I wasn’t so sure.
With his blond side curly hair, I bet he takes care of everyday, his silver eyes, his perfect lips, muscular statue, I wasn’t sure anymore. I was pulled out of my thoughts by the sudden quietness.
“…Yes, my hero.” I said sarcastically. “You know we are trained by the person so why…” he cut her off. He was looking straight at me who was standing at the door.
“Oh quit with secrecy, Paul.” I said walking briskly towards us.
“Remember Safra, Safra Florentyne?” Rye asked, he still looked oblivious. “Your pumpkin?” she added. His eyes lit up.
“Pumpkin!” he exclaimed pulling me into a tight hug. I missed him too, we were really close but Rye has always been my best friend. I looked delighted too.
“I missed you.” I said.
“You sure pumpkin?” he said sitting back down.
“Now I’m not so sure, you look too… much for a 16-year-old.” I said flirtatiously, it was true. Rye rolled my eyes.
“You know; I’ve always known you guys had crushes on each other.” Rye said crossing her arms.
“...what; that is...so not...true.” I coughed. I felt awkward. “Well we really need to go for class, we’ve missed a period already.” I flushed.
“Yeah, I’m fine already. All thanks to your love, sis.” He always did that whenever he wanted Rye to stop prying into things that embarrassed him.
“But what is so embarrass…’ The bell saved us.

We decided to stop by my house so Rye and Paul could meet my parents, it’s been so long.
“Hi mum, dad.” I said hugging as they came out of a corner. The house was so big; I can’t remember where my room is.
“Welcome darling. They both hugged me.” Then their attention was moved to the ‘strangers’.
“Mum, dad. This is Rye and Paul Vander Waal. Mr. Ricardo Vander Waal’s two children. Damien isn’t here today.” I said.
“Ricardo?” my dad said. “You children have grown so much.” He added, patting each of them on the head. My mother rushed to hug them, we basically slept in each other’s houses.
“Wow,” she started. “You grew up so fast.” She added.
“Thank you.” They said in unison. We had dinner and they left to their house, then we agreed to walk to school together the next day.
Paul’s POV
Yeah, it’s true, I used to have a huge crush on Safra when we were younger. But when she left and we lost contact, I thought my feelings were that of a 5-year-old boy that liked his playmate. Now I’ve seen her and I’m like; DAMN!
She’s changed. Her caramel brown long hair that I just want to run my hands through; it was curly, her pink soft lips, blue eyes and curvy body. Oh God! I’ve got to stop.
“Paul, family meeting!” I heard my dad call. He must have heard about the fight.

“Paula” he started, he knew I hated my full name. “We are supposed to keep a low profile, aren’t we?” he asked crossed arm. I nodded.
“Then what happened today?”
“Someone was harassing Rye.” I said running my hand through my hair.
“Is it a move you boys were born with?” Rye asked. “I mean running your hands through your hair.”
“No I don’t think so.” I started realizing she was right. “it’s a reflex. I just do it.”
Someone Coughs. Dad!
“I had to do something, but I left him alive.” I said. Nice save, I scoffed to myself.
“You left him alive because Rye was there. I’m very sure Rye would have handled it better.”
“Yeah I would have.” Rye started and I glared at her. My dad talked till late night.
