As the light had finally disappeared, four icons appeared before Haoyu's eyes.
[Special card: last life not useless * 1: allows the transformation of abilities acquired in your previous life into talents in your current life]
[Cultivation technique: Supreme Dragon Body Refinement Sutra: an unparalleled external cultivation technique that transforms your body into that of a supreme dragon]
[Talent: Heaven Eyes of Truth: a unique talent that allows the perception of the true value of things; with it, one can determine if something is rare or not]
[Martial Art: Mind Separation Art: a martial art that allows the simultaneous use of two martial arts, which is normally impossible; with this secret art, it is possible to wield two different weapons without any problem] (rank: heaven)
[Item: Dream Pendant: a treasure capable of creating a mental simulation where time flows much faster than outside] (rank: heaven)
Wang Haoyu observed the four icons that had appeared before him with amazement. Each of them represented an incredible opportunity for him.
"Special cards, a cultivation technique, a unique talent, and a martial art... This is incredible," he murmured, amazed by these unexpected rewards.
Guiji observed Haoyu's reaction with satisfaction and nodded arrogantly. [You finally recognize my greatness; this is just the beginning, dear host. With my guidance and your determination, you can reach unsuspected heights in this world as the God of Machinations.]
"I'll start by using the 'Special card: last life not useless.' Transforming the abilities I gained in my previous life into talents in my current life could be extremely useful, especially given my current situation," he declared, already planning his future.
Guiji nodded in approval.
Haoyu activated the special card, feeling a strange sensation of transformation take hold of him. Memories of his previous life, his experience as the leader of the Chinese underworld, his expertise as the world's greatest forger, everything he had learned throughout his life, including philosophy, calligraphy, and even the charisma he had developed over his existence, merged into his current consciousness. He felt his mind expand as he assimilated these new skills and knowledge.
Once the process was complete, Haoyu reopened his status.

Wang Haoyu examined his new status with satisfaction, noting significant improvements in his abilities and talents. He felt more confident in his capabilities, but decided to leave the other items for later testing; there was no rush at the moment.
Approaching the old man's corpse, Haoyu began searching for any interesting items. He activated his new talent, Heaven Eyes of Truth, and was not disappointed when he saw the old man's bracelet shining brightly.
It was a storage ring, and upon inspecting its contents, Haoyu discovered numerous weapons, medicines, and various items. As he knew these resources would be valuable in the future, he decided to examine them in detail later.
Satisfied with his find, Haoyu attached the ring to his wrist and continued searching the old man's body. However, he found nothing else of interest. His exploration for the day was not over yet.
Entering the cabin that served as his home, Haoyu activated his eye once again. While looking around, he didn't see anything valuable except for one object – the only place where there was a glimmer of value was the floor, or more precisely, under the wooden floor. Effortlessly tearing a piece of the floor, Haoyu found a metallic box.
Searching the ring, he quickly found the key needed to open it. Inside, Haoyu found a golden token and documents. Upon reading, he realized they were promissory notes, several of them under various names. However, that wasn't all. If he hadn't been able to perceive the value of things, he might have missed what lay beneath the box.
Digging deeper, he uncovered another box that shone even more than the previous one. However, this time, it had no lock; it was a black box without any openings or flaws. The old man must have had a way to open it, but Haoyu didn't.
Not knowing what to do, he decided to ask the system directly, "Guiji, do you know what this is?"
The small cat appeared on Haoyu's shoulder with a proud and arrogant expression. "Of course, I know what it is. The box itself is already a treasure; it's a mysterious chest. It's a treasure that allows the storage of precious items, ensuring that no one can steal them. Once refined by someone, the possessor can recall it without any problem. It can only be opened by the one who refined it."
[As for its contents, it contains the best internal cultivation technique available in this world.]
The explanation more than satisfied Haoyu. He had an external cultivation technique, an internal one; the only thing missing was a soul cultivation technique. "How can I open it?" he asked.
The cat looked amused by the question and responded mockingly, [You can't. The only way to open it is by injecting the old man's Qi from outside, but he's already dead.]
Despite Guiji's annoying attitude, Haoyu moved on. "Is there a way to destroy it?"
[Unless you have the power surpassing the capabilities of this world, you won't be able to destroy it. Even a cultivator of the quasi-divine realm, which is the limit of this world, wouldn't be able to scratch the box.]
While looking at the corpse outside, Haoyu sighed deeply. The identity of this old man must not be simple. The contents of the box were likely Wang Tian's golden finger; his master would have probably given it to him at some point. Now that the old man was dead, it was too late. Haoyu had some theories about the old man's identity; he was probably a senior from a prestigious martial sect, accused of a crime, severely injured, causing a drop in his cultivation. He then hid in these mountains and took on a disciple.
Since he couldn't use it at the moment, he stored the box in the ring, hoping to be able to utilize it in the future.
Now that he was done with all of this, Wang Haoyu decided it was time to start training.
