Adrian: Man I really hope nothing bad happens to the town, dad’s surely gonna have his work cut out for him if anything goes wrong… What do you think Nevaeh?
215:[Adrian looks over to his side and realizes Nevaeh is no longer there]
Adrian: Hey where’d she go?!
216: [He catches sight of the lass running towards the city walls, he gives chase to her]
Adrian: Hey what gives?!

218:[Nevaeh is seen by the guards of the entrance, Adrian arrives just in time to get in on their conversation]

220:[While the guards are distracted, Nevaeh dashes inside the tower and runs up the stairs next to the gate, they give chase, Adrian tries to catch his breath]

223:[She throws her swords at some boxes resting on a fragile looking shelf]
Guard 1: Hey what’s the big idea?!
224:[The shelf loses balance and the boxes full of bolts almost fall on the guard but instead fly right over his head, this distraction gives Nevaeh the time to put run away]
Guard 1: OY HEY, LOOK OUT BELOW
225:[The second guard sees the bolts flying out of their containers and realizes the danger it poses for the small child, unaware of his predicament]
Guard 2: DEAR PHOENIXES!
226:[In a heroic fashion the second guard embraces Adrian and shields him from the incoming projectiles. He turns his ether tank on and brings out his conductor]
Guard 2: I got you boy!
Adrian: AAAH!
227:[He pushes the trigger and holds the conductor in the air at the last possible second, his ether gear creates a shield of air blocking and pushing away the falling bolts]
Guard 2: Hnngh!
228: [The guard is relieved as he sees the last bolt hit the ground.]
Guard 2: Man that was close!
229: [Adrian panics, he doesn’t realize what just happened. He wiggles out of the guards grasp and kicks his calve in fear of him]
Andrian: Get your hands off me!
Guard 2: Ack! Me bad leg!
230: [Adrian makes a run for it inside the tower to the left of the gate while the second guard holds his leg in pain]
Guard 2: Hold it right there. Nnngh! (Oh the PAIN! Phoenixes, please! Have mercy!)
Adrian: Wait for me Nevaeh!!
231[The first guard places his gaze towards the other tower.]
Guard 1: Hmph! I guess I’ll have to catch these two rascals all by myself!
232: [The guard holds his conductor up with a devilish grin and a handful of bolts in the other hand.]

233: [He leaps into the air, sky high, Nevaeh catches a glimpse of what his ether gear is capable of]

234:[The guard lands in front of Adrian and pushes him against the wall and uses the bolts to nail his pants and shirt to the wall]
Guard 1: Hold still for a second, I don’t want to hurt you.

235:[The guard uses his ether gear as a nail gun, pushing the nails with highly concentrated air, he pins 2 bolts through Adrian shirt and 2 to his pants against the wall]

236:[The guard leaps back towards the location he last saw Nevaeh now that Adrian was less likely to cause trouble]

237. [He lands not too far away to where Nevaeh was hiding, she holds her breath as to not reveal her location to her pursuer]
Guard 1: Now where could she have gone…

239:[Her trembling causes her to nudge something and causes it to fall next to her]

Guard 1: Uh? What was that noise?
240:[She sees an opportunity to make a run for it on the opposite side of where the noise emanated from]
241:[The Guard’s reflexes outmatch Nevaeh’s speed and he nails her shirt sleeve into the wall next to her]

Guard 1: Ha, well that was a lot easier than I thought!
243:[He turns around and notices that Adrian is missing from the spot he had nailed him]

244: [In his frustration, he starts nailing every bolt he has into Nevaeh’s sleeve]

248: [While the guard takes his eyes off Nevaeh, she then gives him a good kick in the calve.]

258:[She makes her way through the gate past the other guard, still holding his leg from the pain inflicted by Adrian]
Adrian: Sorry about earlier… and your friend too…
Guard 2: It hurts sooooo much.....

260:[Adrian and Nevaeh walk through the bushes at the forest’s entrance, Adrian’s doubt grows steady]
Adrian: Nevaeh! What’s gotten into you? Listen to me, come back here!

270:[The bush begins to rustle violently, this alarms Adrian]

271:[Two forms jump out of the bush, they’re speed makes them appear as two blurs]

272:[The two entities appear to be slimes they glare at the two children menacingly]

328:[She rolls over to the side, she bumps into a shadowy figure]

331:[A pair of luminescent eyes appear on the figure before them, a terrifying growling emanates from it’s maw]

332:[The large entity slowly walks into the moon light to reveal itself, Adrian and Nevaeh backs up in fear]
Monster:Rrrrrrrrrrrr……
Adrian: S-stay away, back off!
333: [The beast attempts to pluck at Nevaeh, she’s able to jump out of it’s grasp in time]
Monster: Gnap!
Adrian: Ugh! Watch out!
334:[The monster straightens it’s head back up and spits out the grass where Nevaeh once stood]
Monster: Ptoei!~
Adrian: That was close, we gotta get away from this thing, pronto!
Nevaeh: Uh hun!
335: [The two children pick up the pace, the monster contemplates them and prepares for his moment to strike]
336:[The monster is now running after the two protagonist]
Adrian: That thing’s real big, it’s gonna catch up to us no doubt! We gotta find a way to lose it!
Monster: Roar!
Adrian: Eep!
337:[Adrian and Nevaeh try to outrun the creature by making sharp turns, knowing full well that the monster’s size and weight would make it difficult for it to make such any course corrections that quickly. They use the trees to their advantage to force the monster into making sharp turns]
Adrian: That thing’s mass will certainly prevent it from making sharp turns as quick as us! Try zig zagging around the trees! It can’t follow us that well if it follows our every movement!
Nevaeh:O-ok!
338:[They both make it into a rocky formation, they can no longer rely on their old strategy, Adrian comes up with a different plan]
Adrian: Darn! Looks like we’re gonna have to climb up…
339:[Adrian runs ahead and places his palm face up on his knees and prompts Nevaeh to jump on them]
Adrian: C’mon, JUMP!
340: [He lifts her up as she jumps above him and vaults her up the ledge]
Adrian: Hya!
Nevaeh: Hop!
341:[He realizes that he had much less time than he first thought, the beast had already caught up with them]
Adrian: OH NO!

342:[Nevaeh, notices a space in between a boulder and a wall]
343:[She reacts lightning fast, she places herself in between each and pushes the boulder with her legs and her body against the wall]
344: [The boulder falls just in time, it lands directly on the monster’s head and temporarily stuns it.]

Adrian: Woah, good thinking Nevaeh!
345: [Nevaeh reaches out to Adrian, she pulls him up the cliff]

346:[Their reunion is cut short, they keep running ahead on the rocky ledge as the large beast continues to give chase]
Adrian: Argh! He’s persistent, that’s for sure!
347:[The ledge leads to a Dead end, the two adventurers moral drops through the floor]
Adrian: N-no way! It’s a dead end! Quick! we gotta go the other way!

348:[They find themselves with their backs against the wall]

350: [The beast salivates on Adrian, breathing heavily]

351: [A booming voice is heard from afar, It’s Damien, equipped with his ether gear, he launches an all out assault]
Damien: ETHER PROPULSION SYSTEM, MAXIMUM OUTPUT!

352: [Adrian comes crashing down upon the beast at a blinding speed, he uses a shield to bash the creature]
Damien: HEYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

353:[Damien grabs the two children with haste, the beast is only temporarily stunned]
Damien: You two, grab onto me, NOW!

366:[They come around a corner where two church members can be found in an heated discussion]

367: [Damien realizes this could mean that the town would be under siege in the near future]
Damien: (Dammit! So those WERE soldiers from the capital then, could it be that the capital is now…)

368: [Damien snaps out of it and heads to Eva’s house in order to escort the two kids somewhere safe]
Damien:You’re one lucky boy Adrian, you get to have a sleep over at Eva’s place tonight… Don’t get the wrong idea, this isn’t a “reward”, we will discuss the issue at a later time!

370:[The chancellor, surrounded by his cohorts and a small group of villagers can be seen walking towards the gate, they’re armed with torches and pitchforks, they try to keep them hidden as to not alarm their own allies, the Chancellor takes note of Damien’s presence]
Chancelor: You there! You must be Damien, these villagers have informed me of your many good deeds and your, expertise... Please allow me to have a word with you...
Damien: With all do respects, my father… I’m afraid my hands are full at the moment, I will get right back to you after I’m done with these two.
Chancelor:Oh I see... Please pardon my intrusion. I commend your good will sir Damien, please know that we will be waiting by the gate until midnight, I hope you’ll bless us with your presence by then…

374:[They arrive at Eva’s house, she’s already waiting for them outside of her door, Damien hands both children over to her]
Eva: Thank the Phoenixes! I was so worried!
Damien: I’m sorry to cut this reunion short, but I MUST talk to you about an urgent matter
Eva: Damien what’s happening?
Damien: Not right now, you two, get inside now….
