1st one - Beginings are hard

I must have dreamt of something nice because I did not want to wake up. As I lay in bed, trying to hold onto the remnants of the dream, I suddenly became aware of a strange sensation in my fingertips. They were tingling and glowing, and i started to freak out. Suddenly, the tingling grew stronger, spreading up my arms and throughout my entire body until a blinding light enveloped me, and I felt as if I was being sucked into a vortex. The vortex felt like rubber as I fell through, bending space around me as I fell to the ground landing on some dry leaves. As I stood up, brushing the leaves off my clothes, I realized I wasn't in my bedroom anymore; I was in a dense forest, with towering trees that reached up to the sky, their leaves casting a greenish hue over everything. I lay there for a while, strangely wondering if I payed my electricity bill, like that mattered in this situation. As I got up and looked around, I realized that everything around me was incredibly detailed, with individual leaves rustling in the gentle breeze and the sound of birdsong echoing through the forest. It was then that I noticed a small, shimmering object on the ground, just a few feet away from me. It was placed under a large dry leaf, i could not see what it was, but the light was getting stronger. Curiosity getting the best of me, I carefully lifted the leaf, and there it was – a glowing orb of light, pulsating in the palm of my hand. As soon as I touched it, a surge of energy flowed through my body, and I felt my senses sharpen, my mind becoming clearer than ever before. It lasted for just a moment, but the total clarity that came over me, it was fantastic, and as soon as it passed I knew i would chase this feeling again. Blue screen poped up in front of me "XP Gain+10 - You are level 1"

Confused and disoriented, I looked around, trying to figure out what was happening. Then, another message popped up on the screen, "Welcome to the world of Terranoth, traveler. Your journey begins now." I realized that I had been transported to a completely different world, one that seemed to be ripped straight from the pages of a fantasy novel. As I looked around, taking in the sights and sounds of this strange new place, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. I had never wanted to leave my own world, and now I was stuck in a place that felt more alien than anything I could have ever imagined.

Well, I read books, and watch animes with this topic and I know how it goes, so I yelled: "Status!" Yet nothing happened. "Character", I tried, but still nothing. I tried for at least 20 minutes with everything i could think of, but nothing happened.

Frustrated and confused, I started to walk, hoping to find some answers. As I walked through the forest, I noticed that the trees were different from any trees I had ever seen before - they seemed to radiate a faint, magical energy that filled me with both awe and fear. Suddenly, I heard a rustling in the bushes, and before I could react, a small creature emerged from the foliage. It was unlike anything I had ever seen before - small, with pointed ears and a bushy tail, it looked almost like a cross between a squirrel and a fox. It stared up at me with curious eyes, and I couldn't help but feel a strange sense of familiarity.

"Indentify" I tried, hoping for some kind of help from the blue screen, but nothing happened. The creature was watching me, curious but not coming any closer. My second thought was "Is it hostile?"

I stood still, not wanting to scare the creature away. It watched me for a few moments, and then turned around and darted back into the bushes. I couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment, but I also knew that I was in an unfamiliar world, and that approaching strange creatures could be dangerous. As I continued to walk, I tried to focus on my surroundings, taking note of any landmarks or features that might help me find my way. The forest was dense and filled with unfamiliar sounds, but I could sense that there was more to this place than met the eye.

I wondered what should I do, and tried to remember all the things I heard and read about surviving in the wild, which isn´t much, but I knew that first I needed to get the lay of the land, so I looked for a tall tree I could climb to see where I am.

As I looked around from the top of the tree, my eyes fell upon a winding river that flowed through the forest below. It was a welcome sight, as I knew that finding a source of water would be crucial to my survival. I climbed down the tree and made my way towards the river, pushing aside dense undergrowth as I went. When I finally reached the riverbank, I knelt down and cupped my hands, taking a sip of the cool, clear water. It tasted fresh and pure, and I felt a sense of relief knowing that I had found a source of hydration. As I looked up and down the river, I couldn't help but wonder where it might lead, and what other mysteries this world might hold.

I as drank the water yet again I noted the position of the sun, it was too low, and I did not know was it setting or rising, not knowing if it was morning or late afternoon, so I started to think about food and shelter.

As I sat by the riverbank, my mind began to race with thoughts of food and shelter. I knew that I would need to find a way to sustain myself if I wanted to survive in this world. Looking around, I saw that there were several types of plants and berries growing nearby, but I had no idea which ones were safe to eat. As for shelter, I had no tools or materials to build anything, so I would need to find a natural structure that could offer some protection from the elements.

As I pondered my options, I heard a rustling in the bushes nearby. My heart raced as I looked around, wondering if it was the same creature I had seen earlier. I slowly stood up and backed away from the noise, not wanting to take any chances. But as the rustling grew louder, I realized that it was not a predator, but rather a group of small animals scurrying through the undergrowth.

With a relieved sigh, I sat back down by the river, feeling a sense of calm wash over me. I knew that I would need to be cautious and alert at all times, but for now, I could take a moment to rest and think.

As I sat there, I allowed myself to feel lost and alone for a second. Well if I wanted to survive I had to stay in the moment, so I made a mental checklist, things I need. 1, Water - I had the river for that, hopefully I won't get dysentery or something similar, maybe the fire will help, so I can boil it. 2, Food - I don't think I could kill any animal, at least for now, still was not that hungry. and 3. Shelter.

As I finished my mental checklist, I realized that I had no idea where to even begin with building a shelter. I looked around at the dense forest, trying to think of what materials I could use. But without any tools or experience, I knew that my chances of success were slim.

I decided to focus on finding a source of fire first, knowing that it would be essential for purifying water and cooking any food I might find. As I walked along the riverbank, I searched for any dry wood or kindling that I could use to start a fire. But everything was damp from the recent rain, and I knew that it would be a difficult task.

As I continued to search, I heard a faint noise in the distance. It sounded like a voice, but I couldn't make out any words. My heart raced as I cautiously made my way towards the sound, wondering if it was another survivor or perhaps a dangerous creature.

Carefully, I walked toward the voice, hoping that that voice would mean people, and people would mean civilisation. I could work with civilisation, the forest was an unknown to me. As I walked I came across a clearing in the forest, and didn't dare to cross it, trees felt comfortable, but this clearing it felt ominous.

Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

I hesitated for a moment, wondering if I should turn back and find another route. But the voice was coming from the other side, and I knew that I couldn't give up hope just yet.

Taking a deep breath, I stepped out into the open, keeping a cautious eye out for any signs of danger. The grass in the clearing was tall and dry, swaying gently in the breeze. As I made my way towards the other side, the voice grew louder, and I could hear the sound of laughter and chatter.

As I approached the edge of the clearing, I saw a small group of people gathered around a campfire, roasting some kind of meat on a spit. They looked up as I approached, and their laughter died down.

As I got closer, I realized that the people were not like me. Their language was different from anything I had ever heard, full of unfamiliar sounds and words. I tried to speak to them in my own language, but they only looked at me with confusion and suspicion.

There was four of them, all men, and one was noticeably taller than the rest. I observed right away that they were armed with spears, with a broad tip, and dressed in leather. They were repeating a couple of words, over and over again. Yet as they were armed, they made no move towards their weapons, that were laying by the fire.

I cautiously approached them, keeping my hands visible and showing that I meant no harm. They turned to me, and the taller one said something in their language, gesturing towards the fire. I shook my head, trying to convey that I didn't understand. He repeated himself, but I still didn't comprehend. Suddenly, he pointed at me and then to his own chest, and spoke a single word that I recognized: "Mogren."

Well i guess it is his name. Or his title. Or his tribe. I felt so lost. His voice boomed again "Mogren". Well here goes nothing, i pointed to myself and said "Zeke"

Mogren looked at me quizzically for a moment before nodding his head. He gestured to the fire and offered me a seat. I cautiously approached and sat down, still feeling uncertain about the situation. The other men continued to mutter amongst themselves, occasionally glancing in my direction.

Mogren spoke again, this time more slowly and gesturing to the surrounding forest. I couldn't understand his words, but I assumed he was asking me where I came from. I shook my head, trying to convey that I didn't understand. Mogren frowned and spoke again, this time with more urgency. I wished I could understand what he was saying.

Suddenly, one of the other men stood up and approached me, holding out a hand with a small object in it. It was a pendant made of what looked like polished bone, intricately carved with patterns and symbols. The man gestured for me to take it, and I hesitated for a moment before cautiously reaching out and accepting the offering.

Mogren spoke again, and this time I thought I caught a word that sounded like "gift". I looked down at the pendant in my hand, unsure of what to make of the gesture.

Then i noticed that they where wearing the same pendants, and while this one that he gave me looked new, theirs where older looking and worn down. As i put it on i wondered whats the deal with this, what do they use the pendants for. As soon as i put it on, the blue screen was back "Luck +1" it simply stated. As the screen faded, I tried to interact with it with my hands and then mind. But again nothing. I removed the pendant to see if anything changed, and there it was, a blue screen in front of me saying "Luck -1". Nobody else was looking at it, so I figured they can't see it. Mine, at least, I didn't know if they had one of their own.

As I put on the pendant again, I couldn't help but wonder what its significance was. Mogren and his group all wore similar pendants, but theirs were older and more worn. The blue screen flashed again, "Luck +1." It seemed that luck was the only thing I was gaining from this experience so far.

I tried to communicate with Mogren and his group using gestures and basic words, hoping that in time I could learn their language. But for now, all I could do was observe and try to learn through their actions.

With that in mind, I found a small stick and tried to draw on the ground. First I tried to draw the blue window that I have been seeing, but the group was just looking at me. Fair enough, I thought, I was never that good at drawing.

So I started to draw something else, something that could communicate what I needed. I drew a river, then a tree, then a person sitting next to the tree. Finally, I drew a roof over the person's head. The group watched me intently as I drew. When I finished, I pointed at the drawings and then at myself, hoping they would understand.

Mogren looked at the drawings, then at me, and nodded his head. He pointed in a direction and said something in their language. I didn't understand what he said, but I assumed he was pointing to a place where I could find shelter.

I smiled, feeling relieved that we were able to communicate. Maybe learning their language wouldn't be so hard after all. As I gathered my things and started to follow Mogren's direction, I couldn't help but feel lucky. Maybe luck would be my advantage in this strange new world.

We walked on the forest path for some time, Mogren was silent, so I was as well not knowing if there is any danger. Then after a while we saw a large cottage, made of wood, two stories high, unusual sight of a forest, but no people were around.

As we approached the cottage, I noticed that the door was slightly ajar. Mogren motioned for me to stay behind as he cautiously pushed the door open, peering inside. Suddenly, I heard a loud thud and a muffled cry. My heart raced as I called out to Mogren, but there was no response. I took a deep breath and slowly made my way to the door, pushing it open further. What I saw inside made my blood run cold.

Someone, or something was standing above a prone Mogren. More than a man, it was a mass of flesh, only in a shape of a human, there all similarities ended. Panic froze me as Mogren was struggling to rise, I noticed his spear laying on the ground. The creature was covered in pulsating veins that throbbed with each movement it made. Its skin was an unsettling grayish-green, and its eyes were black, devoid of any discernible emotion or intelligence. The creature let out a guttural growl as it raised a grotesque appendage, ready to strike Mogren.

Finally, my fight or flight instinct turned on. Fast, faster than anything I ever did, I grabbed the spear from the ground. With all the force I could muster, I launched the spear towards the creature, aiming at its head. The spear missed its intended target and hit a nearby jug, causing it to shatter and spill its contents all over the creature.

The creature let out a terrifying scream as the liquid made contact with its skin, causing it to writhe in pain. As it regained its balance and turned towards me, the blue screen flickered to life once again. "Achievement made: first Critical hit, stat Luck +1." For just a second, it was as if I could see the life bar of the creature. It said 5/20, and it was a quarter full.

As the creature came closer, I turn away and ran. It was following, but luck was once again with me, it was not very fast. I reached the first trees, near the cottage I knew I could not run blindly into the forest, I would be lost and alone again, so I decided to run in a circle so I can give Mogren time to deal with the creature.

I heard the creature's footsteps behind me, but I kept running, my heart pounding in my chest. As I circled back towards the cottage, I saw Mogren standing up, his spear in hand. The creature was still following me, and I was running out of breath.

Mogren took aim with his spear, and with a mighty throw, he hit the creature's leg, causing it to stumble and fall. As the creature tried to get up, Mogren ran towards it and plunged his spear into its body. The creature writhed on the ground, its muscles spasming without control. Mogren took something from his pocket, a vial and poured over it. Suddenly, there was on fire, and the creature burned. Black smoke was rising to the sky, and I watched Mogren as he stepped away, and closed his mouth and nose with his hand so I stepped away as well not to inhale the smoke. Just as I turned to thank Mogren, a sudden blow to the back of my head sent me tumbling to the ground. Darkness consumed me as I lost consciousness, and the last thing I remembered was the sight of Mogren running towards me, his expression contorted with rage. That and a blue box that said: 1XP gained, needed to next level - 99.
