The world can never be the same after the day that the central sun released the 7 rays onto the planets in an indifferent rage of awakening and deconstruction to all its populace. Before it hit, there were many cases of presumed insanity as people started to “have memories that do not belong to them” The News was full of cases of rampant mental illness as the people of the world seem to collectively become delusional to who they are and more importantly to “what” they are.
It would seem as if life has become stranger than fiction as claims of lived extravagant memories of human or not so human beings are told by an alarming number of its population.
The psychiatric hospitals did not have the capacity to hold the growing number of seemingly delusional people, and the medications for these cases seemed to only worsen the incoherent stories the patients were so keen on telling. For one thing, even the nurses and doctors were going through the trials of “insanity” that was washing over the world. Little does the world know, this was only the beginning of the mass awakening and genetic transformation the sun has yet to orchestrate.
This day, Lucem Lie is trying to get by in life in a world that is starting to make less sense to him. Every day and night brought more stories beyond his imagination as he reads on his phone, more posts by people he knows and otherwise that are sharing what seems like fantasy lives of otherworldly entities. Some of these stories seem to originate from video games and movies or books that are totally out of the realm of reality. Yet, this did not stop his social media friends or even public figures from announcing their recalling of being characters such as fairies, cat people, dog folks or even angelic to demonic servants of God and the Devil.
In the past, Lucem struggled with his own mental health and had been admitted to psych units. Lucem was very empathic and sensitive growing up and he had an overactive imagination. This had caused him to experiment with all kinds of drugs to escape relating to the wrong crowds. However, none of his experiences with life has caused him to display the kind of insanity the world seems to be undergoing. Nor does Lucem really believe this was the result of an awakening process. Since Lucem is taking medication regularly, He sincerely believes the world is in need of compliance with medication to solve the crisis.
Lucem has one recall of his past admission to the hospital after the infulence of narcotics with a hood friend while working at an entertainment club as a dishwasher. It was the only time he can recall memories that were not his. At the time, he felt like he was teleporting in the basement while his friend was beside him and they were engaged in pointing out the opposite senses in the room. Such as up, down to light and dark. During the stay at the psych unit, He recalls being told by some intelligence he was a weapon that was created by forging the high beings of heaven to the blood of the dark prince and ruler of hell. This seemed believable in his delusional state, but far less convincing when he was integrated back to society.
Currently, Lucem finds comfort in his very stable friend who seems to also agree the world is coming to a mental health crisis instead of the belief that any of the stories has credibility to any degree. Today, Lucem is on his way to meet his friend at his friend's apartment in Chinatown for a music session where they can tune out of a world gone crazy.
Lucem likes to walk instead of drive. He strolls the sea wall for an hour and arrives at the Chinatown streets that never seem to get cleaned enough to be considered sanitary. He punches in the buzzer code of the newly constructed luxury apartment that stands out like a businessman at a rodeo.
“Yo Adam buddy, It’s Lucem” Lucem spoke in to the intercom
“Hey buddy, come in” Adam replied

he door beeps, and Lucem enters. He takes the elevator up to the 7th floor to Adam’s unit at 7-2.
“Ayyy, Good to see you LiL L.” Adam greets Lucem with the nickname he fabricated although Lucem is a good foot taller than Adam, standing at an intimidating 6’5.
“Hey Addy, I brought some snacks.” Lucem replies as he lifts the plastic bag full of convenience store junk food.
“My Man” Adam reaches and grabs the bag from Lucem as they make their way to the living room. The apartment was tiny and made for the modern minimalist. Everything was metallic and shiny, It looks like every other generic high end living suit of the modern age.
Adam didn't have many furnitures, and Lucem did not sit comfortably in the small chair so he would always just settle against the cushions by the wall, sitting like a muslim ready to smoke a hookah.
Music is already blasting in the apartment since Adam is a DJ and likes to play music all the time near full volume. Lucem sometimes feels bad for the neighbours and wonders if they are against Adam’s taste in dark electronic beats. However, Since Adam has reported that his direct neighbour claims to be a cherub angel fallen out of heaven, complaining about his taste in music should be very low on her list of concerns.
“So bro, Did you hear the president is vouching for the theory that our world is waking up to a multidimensional gateway where we will all remember different timelines and return to the forms of our true selves?” Adam said while pouring coke into two glasses. “Apparently he is an angel of scribing with the responsibility of documenting the event as it happens.”
“I say, when it happens, you can return to your true form as a vampire caveman that only goes out to pray on innocent girls” Lucem replies.
“So nothing will change for me then.” Adam said, grining.
“Exactly.” Lucem answers while feeling a little smug at his own creative honesty.
“What do you think you may become if this is actually real, and we are the crazy ones for not believing any of this?” Adam asked sincerely.
“I think you should take your insulin before you drink that coke” Lucem redirected the question with a mock concern for his friends health.
“Good man, you got me Diet anyways” Adam said while gulping the coke.
“Seriously, I can’t explain why the world is spouting nonsense on such a large scale, but I like to think there is some science, like a collective cabin fever caused by the solar flare coming from the Sun.” Lucem explains.
“I agree with you, my man, that this may be coming from the sun, but we are becoming oddities for not having any memories at all. There are so many people who claim they are human but can remember giants walking with them as well as the other alien beings who are what they say they are.” says Adam sincerely.
The speaker playing the music suddenly skips and screeches loudly before Lucem could reply, and the whole room is filled with loud discord. Between the screech and static a voice can be heard.
"Lucem Lie, The prince has requested you to take a side, If you fail to comply with this request, we will start the process of eliminating all those you care about, starting with your friend”
Lucem looks over to Adam hoping this was his joke, but there was a quality of authority to the voice that can not be passed off as a joke. Adam had a strange look on his face as if he knew what’s going on but there was also the unmistakable fear in his eyes.
“How did they find us? This can’t be” Adam croaked.
“What are you talking about buddy?” Lucem asked, panicking. “This is a joke of yours right?”
Before Adam could reply, The screeching speaker spoke again.
“Come to three thirty three Cross Rd, Guilt and Co pub, at three AM tomorrow Lucem...and you as well Adam. We will be waiting,”
The speaker blows out leaving the room with an eerie silence.
Adam looks over to Lucem, however, Adam’s eyes had a yellowish golden glow, like that of a beast at night.
“I am sorry buddy, you are going to have to come with me to Guilt and Co, by your choice or mine” Adam said with regret in his yellow eyes.
