Loved You Once But He's My Forever (Chloe)
Chapter 499 Is It You? Sergio

Chapter 499 Is It You? Sergio

This medication didn't just make my memories slowly fade away; it also affected my emotions, dulling my reactions. One minute, I found myself inexplicably climbing onto the terrace, nearly falling off.

Carter stayed home with me to help with my therapy. Little by little, my emotions improved, and I didn't do anything extreme again.

I have a journal where I write down everything that happens between Carter and me.

Even if I forget him one day, I can always remember him through the pages of the journal.

Most of my days are spent either playing the ocarina or crocheting, using these tasks to distract myself from other thoughts.

I checked the due date-six and a half months to go. I can get through this.

So, I crocheted toys, a flower blanket, and with gray yarn, I planned to make Carter a scarf and sweater. Winter in Snowville was long, and I wanted to do something for him.

I finished the scarf, but the sweater was tricky.

When Carter returned, I'd hold up the half-done sweater and try it on him.

"Carl, just a couple more days, and it'll be done," I said.

"Chloe, don't overwork yourself," he replied.

"I'm not tired. Time goes by so fast for me every day. Carl, today I felt the baby moving in my belly, like a little fish swimming inside.'

Carter smiled gently. "You're carrying twins. It will become more obvious as time goes on, and the second half of your pregnancy will be tough."

"It won't be hard. I'm just looking forward to it. I can't wait for them to meet me."

My phone rang, and I saw the contact "Janice" flash on the screen. I hesitated for a moment. Who was that?

"Hello?"

A cheerful voice came through. "Chloe, I have a surprise for you tomorrow. Well, I'll just tell you—I'm coming to Snowville tomorrow."

I was a little surprised but answered, "Okay."

After hanging up, I asked Carter, "Who is Janice? I feel like I know her, but I can't remember who she is."

Carter's eyes softened with heart ached. He patiently explained the complicated history between Zoey and me.

"Well then, let's go pick her up tomorrow," I said.

"Alright. It's getting late. You should rest early tonight."

"Mm."

Lying in bed, I touched my belly, feeling like it had grown much larger. The sensation of the babies was becoming more noticeable.

Sometimes, when I got up at night to use the bathroom, I'd accidentally wake the little ones, and they'd start moving.

It felt so magical to know that two little lives were growing inside me.

Before dawn, Carter got up and dressed. Before leaving, he kissed my forehead.

I was still half asleep, just catching a glimpse of his tall figure as he walked away.

When I woke up, it was already late morning. I scanned the room in confusion and then realized I was at home.

It felt as though my soul had been drained. Every day passed in a fog.

The maid reminded me to have breakfast, and I spent a little time sunbathing in the garden.

The weather was getting warmer, and the morning sun felt nice against my face.

I noticed a dark figure standing in front of me. I blinked and saw my therapist, Melody.

"Mrs. Bolton, how are you feeling today?"

"I'm doing well," I replied.

My emotions were much more stable now, and I hadn't done anything extreme recently.

Melody stayed with me for several hours. My phone alarm went off, reminding me about picking up Zoey at the airport.

Right, I had promised Zoey I'd meet her there.

Carter still hadn't come home. I called the phone, and Damian answered.

"Mrs. Bolton, Mr. Carter is still in a meeting."

"Alright, just tell him to head straight to the airport. We'll meet there."

"Got it."

I instructed the butler to prepare the car. Melody asked, "Mrs. Bolton, are you going out?"

"Yes, I'm picking someone up at the airport."noveldrama

"Would you mind taking me to Cathedral Way? It's on your way to the airport."

"No problem. You can keep me company in the car."

I changed into a different outfit and grabbed a small handbag with a rabbit charm on it.

Where did this charm come from? It felt so familiar, but I couldn't place it.

I touched the rabbit's ears and left the house.

When I arrived, Melody was already sitting in the passenger seat. She smiled and greeted me, "Mrs. Bolton, thank you for the ride."

"No problem," I said. "It's nothing."

I opened my phone and looked at the old messages between Zoey and me. An image of her began to form in my mind.

At this point, I realized that when I didn't meet people often, I slowly started to forget them.

As long as I was with Carter every day, I knew I'd never forget him.

The sunset's soft light washed over me. I hadn't been outside in a while, so I curiously observed the scenery.

I'd lived in this city for over 20 years, but everything felt both familiar and strange.

and I slowly drifted to sleep.

The sunlight made me fe, net

Suddenly, I felt the car swerve

sharply, and my body lurched to one side.

When I opened my eyes, I was shocked by the bloody scene in front of me.

The driver's head was slumped to the side, and Melody was holding a gun. I froze, completely confused about what was happening.

My sluggish brain snapped into action, and I instinctively wrapped my arms around my belly, forgetting to scream. "Dr. Reyes, what are you doing?"

"Mrs. Bolton, you'd better behave, or you'll be joining him in hell! You wouldn't want anything to happen to your babies, would you?"

The car stopped, and someone opened the door, pressing a gun to my temple.

The bodyguards' car had been forced off the road earlier. By the time they caught up, I was already transferred to another vehicle.

Someone placed a black bag over my head.

"Please don't hurt my babies!" I managed to whisper, terrified.

Soon, Melody's voice came through. "Mrs. Bolton, don't worry. As long as you cooperate, we won't hurt you. But if you try to escape, anything that happens to your babies will be on your hands!" en

"Dr. Reyes, what do you want from me?"

"Sorry, Mrs. Bolton. You'll find out soon enough. Actually, you'll forget everything and start over."

What did she mean?

I had no idea how long I'd been in the car. Later, I was taken onto a helicopter. It was already dark when they removed the hood.

I was in a luxurious suite. The room was carpeted, with food on the table, fresh fruit, and snacks.

The bathroom was nearby, and all my basic needs were met, but the door was locked.

I opened the window and realized I was on the third floor. There was no way to climb down.

In the distance, I could hear the sound of waves. I was on an island.

Someone had imprisoned me here.

There were cameras in the room. Standing beneath one, I looked up coldly and said, "Is it you? Sergio."
