Four years ago from today when I was eleven, I held onto my six-year-old brothers hand and a dull sword in the other. Not bandits, but the neighboring kingdom had finally waged war and we were the first... Blood soaked the air, tears streamed from my little brother Rayon. Father just pushed us down that trench, he had already been impaled by a jagged spear by the time I could turn around. I had watched him with my mouth agape as the devilish man behind had began licking my fathers ear. I can still remember what he had said when I took hold Rayons hand and ran.
"An eye for an eye" I couldn't look back, if I did then I wouldn't be able to keep running. Tears flooded my face and smoke from the city saturated my lungs. I didn't let go of my brother he wouldn't be able to survive in this world alone. How could people do this, just needlessly kill and enjoy it? I didn't know but there was something else I had to understand, why couldn't I feel my arm? I turned my head and blood flowed from the open wound. My brother and my arm was being held by a shadow standing no more than twenty feet away from me. When did he get here, I didn't even see? It? The pain began to flow to the stump that was left in place of my arm, my scream... The loudest scream I've ever given, mixed with hatred, pain, fear.
"GIVE HIM BACK!" I ran as fast as my feet could carry but it was too late. What seemed to be a deep red smile that came from the figure. A hole already filled my chest, my heart I could see it, the beating came to a slow crawl. I had fallen to my knees, and my hearing had faded, my vision had grown dark while I saw my brother reach for me but he was taken. That shadow left a dark energy residue embedded into the blood of the still filling trench. The blood began to boil, and soon it seeped into my exposed heart, it rapidly began restoring my body, but my arm still remained a stump.
I laid there still unconsciously. Until I had heard the whimper of a small animal, it had awoken me from my out of world state. Rosies pooch was being strangled alive with a man plastering a smile across his face. Dark thoughts flooded my mind.
"If you wish to enact suffering among the living, then I shall inflict suffering among you who cause it." I slowly walked to the man, Jasper, the small dog, began losing the light in his eyes, but no my thoughts strayed. I had reached the distracted man and placed my remaining arm on his skull. "Your mine." My eyes grew a deep crimson, and he fell lifelessly. Jasper jumped up with fear in his eyes and limped away from the city while panting for air. "YOUR ALL MINE!" All the blood that drenched this forsaken city began to flood, thousands of gallons of blood circled in front of me as wandering soldiers from the Everlith kingdom followed the trail. There they stood watching agape "IT'S A BLOOD MAGE!". They couldn't be more wrong. My mind bent further as I stared at the blood red blob reforming into a ghastly shadow. Soldiers charged at me while archers shot arrows at me, gallons of blood clotted and surrounded me blocking all that the damned sinners could offer.
"Let me correct your sorely mistaken claim. No, I'm a death master!" Did I truly know what that was at the time? No, no one did, but that didn't stop my corrupted mind from finishing the job. A blood wraith had formed from the life force of all those that have been killed. The blood wraith and I had one thing in common... We wanted revenge. "To leave no one alive." A smile had crept up from my face then I fell...

The sound of chirping filled the air, soon I opened my eyes, feeling the soreness of my entire body. The sound of crunching also filled the air, I looked around and finally found my eyes staring at a blood red creature feasting on a human corpse. The smell mixed with the sight I had just seen, turned my stomach and what ever was left in my gut exited my mouth unto the ground.
The creature curiously looked up, almost as if it were happy to see me... It floated to me ever so slowly, as if it were carful to not scare me. That didn't help in the slightest, I had backed away terrified of what was before me. The shouts of men echoed outside the gates of the small city. "LOOK FOR SURVIVORS SAVE ALL THAT YOU CAN!" The Monster grew agitated and rushed straight at me diving straight towards my face. I felt it merge with my body as a shape burned onto my face... Its as if it were a tattoo how I know? I don't know but I just do. I pick myself up and limp to the nearest alley, who knows if these people are friends or foes... Till I know who these people are I will hide away. Or at least thats what I wanted to do till I felt a strong holy residence grab my tattered shirt from the back.
"Kid where the hell does you think you be going?" he spoke in a strong accent... A flash back took hold of me seeing the evil men run through these streets. I began to freak out "I'LL KILL YOU, LET GO YOU SINNER!" I felt my face burn as the wraith dashed out impacting itself onto the mans broad chest protected by silver armor garmented by gold designs. The man flew back ten feet at least, but he caught himself landing on his feet quickly drawing a mighty greatsword that seemed sharp enough to cut the sky apart. The wraith dashed back into my face right after it had made impact. My eyelids grew heavy, and drowsiness overtook me... Thats when I had collapsed and had awoken to find myself under the care of the church of Bersatia. That man I had knocked back had become my guardian...
"Or so thats what I like to tell the ladies, to convince them to sleep with me whether they take the story seriously or not matters-little to me but I know I have slept with way more women than you Leon!". The handsome man sitting across from me laughed. "What ever you say Mendril, but let me tell you something, being the son of a Marquess has its perks.". He sat up quickly and marched straight to the nearest gorgeous looking women, that looked to be 5"6 tall with flowing black hair, Plump thighs, a perfectly round butt, not the largest of chests but a beauty none the less. He had looked right over at me with a smirk and he grabbed her hand and lead her to the inns bedrooms. He gave me the bird and then a thumbs up. I laughed for a good three minutes before I whispered to myself "God I hate being a virgin.".
