Thunder rumbled in the background...
Suddenly…
Worms began to rain from the sky.
One of the workers looks up. “What the hell?”
He felt crawling on his clothes and reaches his hand out to see.
The workers eyes widen. “Worms!” He exclaims.
“Quick! Hurry inside!” A worker yells, running towards the protection of the church.
“Quick! Run!” Another worker exclaims, running for the church doors.
The townspeople began to react.
“Worms are raining from the sky! A sign from the heavens! A calamity is approaching!” Someone began to yell from the streets, running.
Panic began to stir, and the people hurried to find shelter from the rain of worms.
Standing on a building, playfully tossing a stone up and down, a man smiled. “I can’t stop people from building churches… But I hope it sets the tone for their trash faith.” He says with a smile.
Watching the people run for cover, the man couldn’t help but get excited, and he lost a bit of control, allowing his horns to sprout and peak out from his head.
The man’s eyes widen. “Oops. Can’t have those showing.” He says with a smile, pressing his fingers to his horns, pushing both back in.
This man was Arazel; a former captain in the demon army.
He used to be a faithful follower of the demon lord, but he couldn’t contain his curiosity, and his questions. It started with small defiance, which turned into refusal of orders.
Thus, he was exiled, forced to the life of a wanderer…
As a demon, scorned by both man, beast, and demon, the heavens and the earth… It was a question as to whether he could survive in this world…
