Lorian was lying on his bed and contemplating.
- I do too many extra movements, thus expanding more stamina. I need to stay calm and act accordingly without extra movements, else by the time I stuck once, the opponent would have struck twice.
Recalling and correcting his moves and analyzing his reaction wasn't an easy thing to do, but crucial as one has to learn from his mistakes and constantly strive to overcome one's weaknesses.
- Oh right, did I gain some Exp? Appraisal...
Lorian Ellins Warrior (Level 0) (44/10,000) General Exp: 12 Battle Exp: 0 Titles: - Skills: Basic sword mastery (Level 1) (2,620/10,000)
The room was dark, but the blue screen was clearly visible in the darkness.
- What?!
Lorian almost fell down from his bed. His heart beat faster.
- 10 minutes of combat almost equal to 4 hours of working the shit out? This...
Lorian found his new schedule torturous, but his talent was bad, so he had to put in more effort. 4 hours of working out were his daily limit and he would get 7-8 general Exp from it, but today's simple spar, which he found interesting and exciting brought him whole 5 general Exp.
Lorian took in a deep breath.

- What if I increase my intensity of spars? Won't I get much more than that?...
Heroes are born in times of war. Now Lorian believed this statement. Real life combat gave him very high efficiency in gaining general exp.
And there was also unknown battle Exp...
Lorian hurriedly allocated his general Exp to his warrior profession. The increase in overall strength was negligible but better than nothing.
It was hard to sleep due to his excitement, so he continued analysis.
- My sword mastery went up by whole 500 in proficiency in about 10 minutes. I have to torture my wrists for 300 slashes on the dummy to get around 300. The progress is incomparable...but that doesn't mean I will stop daily work out. Every bit of progress counts. I'm tight on time, after all.
After today's workout, thinking and sparring Lorian was fully spent. Soon, he drifted to sleep.
The following day, he went downstairs and was greeted by about 7 people. They were quietly eating their fill
- Boris, mind if I join you? My treat.
Lorian smiled
- Hey kid, you're early today.
Lorian sat down and ordered a soup.
- Having a hangover?
- Don't mention it, my head is bursting...anyway, why are you always wearing that? Cold season is coming. Winter's especially hard on us, commoners. Don't neglect your health, young man.
Lorian wryly smiled.
- I guess I'll have to make a travel then...who's that?
Lorian whispered the last part as he pointed at stranger sitting alone in the corner.
There was an aura of rejection and hostility around him.
Boris took a sneak glance and answered
- I don't know. He doesn't talk to us.
- How about you guys attempt persuading him in joining you all?
- It's risky. He could be a low key great person in disguise. Anyway, if he doesn't talk to us, he doesn't consider himself one of us. So be it then.
Lorian frowned but didn't talk anymore. They both ate in silence.
Afterward, Lorian bid him farewell and exited the inn.
Elena followed his exiting figure with curious eyes.
- Booze, geh me some boooze, hik~
Drunk man slurred the complaint.
- Ah, yes...
Elena woke up from a daze and tended to the troublesome customer.
