10. A Cookie Story.
"The Lord has awakened. That's why I am baking cookies," the mother replied to her grumbling girl.
As they conversed, the girl gradually approached the mirror. "And don't you dare touch even a single one of them, otherwise~" The girl practically trembled, fixated on her mother's abyssal eyes that brooked no defiance. She nodded and stepped away from the cookies, though her rebellious nature remained ingrained in her blood.
"Heh? The Lord, you say? Are you referring to the same Lord who allowed Sarena's father to perish? Quite an amusing matter, don't you think? Hmph!"
The girl in her rebellious age slowly let go of the towel covering her young, delicate, and curvaceous body. Hiding under the towel was her sexy body. Her tender and perky breasts swayed as she sighed. The fog after the bath was gently leaving her skin.
The mother frowned at her girl's action. Even though she was proud that her child had inherited her feminine assets, it was rude to do something in front of the mirror.
"Girl," the mother didn't wait for a reply as a tight slapping sound echoed in the room.
Holding back her tears, along with her bountifully spanked buttocks, the girl retorted, "Mother! Why did you spank me?! What have I done?" She rubbed her meaty ass, now marked with a palm-shaped redness.
"You dared to get naked in front of the mirror? Even after I warned you a hundred times? Are you so dumb that you can't grasp this simple thing?" The mother pulled her cheek, staring deep into her eyes.
"You MUST not disrespect the Lord, as he's watching us! Every day, every hour, every minute, and every second!" The girl couldn't raise her voice, knowing well that nobody had the courage to stand against their mother. No one.
Now, the girl noticed that the mirror was the only object in the house that received such meticulous cleaning from everyone: her mother, father, and brother. It was as if they worshiped it at times, but she always wanted to ask why. And now, with things pushed to this point, she asked angrily, "But why? Why should I? Who's this Lord that I must worship?" She loosened her mother's grip and rushed towards the mirror.
Her reflection mimicked her actions.
Holding the mirror, she knocked on its surface. "See! No one's there! Karen was right! We're all fools to assume that the Lord cares about us! Then why did Sarena's father die?" The mother found no reason to prove her daughter wrong.
"You don't understand because you're just a child!" Her mother shouted, trying to pull her away from the mirror.
"I'm still a child?! What a joke!" The girl jerked her hand free and stood defiantly before her mother.
She glanced at the mirror and said, "This! This, and this! What do you think, does a child have such beautiful and big breasts that every man ogles on? Such meaty buttocks? And such a beautifully curvaceous body? No Mother, I am not a child, I am an adult!" The girl rubbed her breasts and pointed out at her growing feminine assets while arguing with her mother.
"You!" Her mother seethed, fury boiling within her as she witnessed her child's arrogant display in front of the mirror. However, before she could react, something unexpected occurred.
The girl maintained a smug expression, observing her mother's shocked and panicked demeanor. 'Perhaps I pushed it too far,' she thought, a hint of realization dawning on her.
Now that she was rubbing her breasts, her face flushed and her body felt hot. The same itchy feeling as in the bath happened and she felt weird down her pubic area. Her fingers were about to touch to soothe that itch… But before she could–

"What is it?" She questioned, her curiosity piqued as she turned her gaze toward the mirror. To her astonishment, the reflection did not mirror her actions. Instead, it stood upright, appearing composed, but with a slight frown etched on its face.
The girl's body tensed up, and she felt a chill run down her spine, causing her to freeze in place.
The naked girl with her raven hair wet and flowing, and a cheeky smirk adorned on her face; she looked quite a joyous girl. However, the mimic did not share her joyous attitude.
The mimic was neither smiling nor imitating her actions. It stood still and then said in a deep, authoritative voice, "Listen to your mother, you know?"
As soon as this happened, a slight crack appeared in the mirror.
Cra- Crack- Clank– And the mirror broke into small pieces.
Hundreds of mirror fragments fell to the ground, reflecting the frozen mother and daughter duo.
The girl's eyes widened like saucers, while her mother held back her tears. Not long after the mirror fell, they watched in horror as the reflections in the mirror ceased to exist and turned into thin particles of sand.
Silence engulfed the room. Neither of them uttered a word, but their hearts pounded louder and louder, filling the silent room.
Sweat appeared on the girl's body as her mind went blank. However, her mother couldn't handle the shock for much longer.
Thud.
"H-huh?" The sound of something falling caught the daughter's attention. There lay her mother, motionless. Thankfully, she was breathing, but her daughter couldn't notice this.
"Kyaaaaaaaaaaaa!" The girl screamed and dashed towards her mother.
…
"What the hell was that!" Mordret staggered back as he emerged from the Obelisk of Mirage.
The reflective pillar turned opaque again immediately after Mordret stepped out.
'What was wrong with that girl!' Zephyr cursed in his mind as he jumped on his bed, his face flushed.
He had seen it all. Every inch of a girl's body.
Unknowingly, the girl had revealed everything to him.
'If Mira does not use pads to increase her size, I bet the girl's b-b-breasts were bigger!' unconsciously, he even started comparing sizes.
"But Eliza's are smaller…" He went as far as comparing every woman he had ever seen.
"No!" Pulling himself out of the gutter, Mordret clutched the pillow and rolled on the bed.
Once again, numerous questions flooded his mind about his existence, the game, and the characters around him.
Looking at the brown sheets on his bed, he remembered the cookies she had baked for the Lord.
"Isn't that me?" Zephyr's mind cleared a little. 'Why was the woman grateful? Shouldn't it be the Lord's duty to save them?' Zephyr sat on his bed, pondering everything that happened during their interaction.
"Hmmm… The girl also mentioned Sarena's father who died… That man must've died during the Beast Raid." Zephyr started piecing things together.
And it wasn't that hard.
One of the most important things during this was Zephyr's ability and skill, along with the Obelisk of Mirage.
"Mordret can fucking look through mirrors!" This was something he had not expected.
"But that sucks essence." It was because of the essence expenditure that he was pulled out of the Obelisk of Mirage.
"It happened when I interacted… That was when all of my essence was sucked…" Mordret pondered and looked at his body.
He felt the absence of the majority of his essence. The power that resided inside was somewhat empty but not entirely.
Staring at his palms for a while, Mordret continued thinking.
'What if…' It was the beginning. 'Should I experiment?' Zephyr was a little skeptical, but he had some thoughts in his mind.
"I need to explore Mordret's powers…" Zephyr said out loud. However, it immediately surprised him. After all, Mordret's voice was deep, and hearing it every time, Zephyr wasn't accustomed to it yet.
"Haah!" he sighed.
The whole game had so many things to do that Zephyr was baffled. Every time he explored something new, more tasks got added to his to-do list.
"I need to create a schedule." The mundane things needed to be done properly. Zephyr sighed and slumped into the soft bed.
He loved the soft mattress. It was better than the one he had at his house.
"I wonder how my body in the real world is going to survive… Not peeing, pooping, drinking…?!" Mordret's eyes widened.
"Now that I think… I've been here for over a… week? Or less than a week? I need to go back, but…" Zephyr's thoughts were interrupted as he stared at the screen. The logout option was still unavailable because of the upcoming quests.

Knock! Knock!
"Hm?" Mordret hummed as he heard someone knocking on the door.
"Who might this be?" If it was Eliza, she would directly barge into the room to not disturb Mordret, so this was the first time he heard someone knocking.
"May I enter, my Lord?" He heard a familiar feminine voice.
"Eliza?" He asked.
