Chapter 22

“Hey, maverick are you there?”

The sound echoed in the room.

Doran was no stranger to this room, he had come so many times over the past 4 years that it had become something of a second home. The room had a strangely magical air.

Maybe it seemed that way because he had met mana and magic here.

Since the mana seed in his brain had reached tier 4, it had become easier for him to check his surroundings.

He still remembered how he felt when the roots of the seed grew in the folds of his brain. It was a strange feeling. It was as if a living entity was moving in his brain, and while it was disturbing, it was also strangely comforting.

Just as Doran was sending his mana feelings into the room, a voice came from the far back of the room.

“Oh, Doran, what are you doing here? Aren't you busy with the preparations for marriage?" he said and laughed.

Doran walked to the voice. This is where he found the Maverick, among a pile of parchment.

“Yes, I am very busy, but I see that you do not look very different from me. What happened? Or are you getting married too?" said Doran and chuckled.

“You can thank your father. He has put the academy work on my shoulders and I have to arrange everything myself,” he said and took a deep breath.

"Actually, that's why I came here."

"I hope it's good news."

“Yes, we can say that the good news for you is that we need to make some changes to the Academy, so I'm getting involved in the planning.”

Hearing those words, Maverick was relieved. He'd been dealing with so much in the last few days that Doran's help was like medicine. Then he thought of Doran's words.

“What changes?” he asked curiously.

“We will make some changes in the range of training/education provided. We need a lot of educated people in the new kingdom and they don't just have to be mages and cultivators, for that we may have to change courses a bit.”

"I don't understand"

“Don't worry, I'll help, I have some plans in mind. You can take a break for now and we can talk about the details on the way to Murdok." said Doran.

“Okay, when are we leaving?”

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

“One week after wedding,” said Doran.

Surprised by this response, Maverick immediately asked a question.

“One week? Is your father this hasty in sending you? Besides, I thought you were working on parliament issue."

“The constitution is almost finished, all that remains is to elect the members, my father can handle it himself, and I wanted it this early, I have a lot of ideas about Murdok and I want to implement it as soon as possible.” said Doran.

“I guess that's the common problem with the Lewis family, being a workaholic,” he said, and chuckled.

"Anyway, I have a meeting with the tailor, see you later." said Doran. He had fulfilled his purpose of coming here.

Doran said goodbye to Maverick and started walking towards the castle's tailor building.

Many people were working at Red Castle to provide for the Lewis family. Tailors, blacksmiths, horse-keepers. These people were often the best in their field. When the Duchy declared its independence, they automatically became employees of the royal family.

Of course, those working in these fields had a special area of their own in the castle ground, and this area was reserved for them and their families.

When Doran came to this area of the castle with quick steps, he went towards the building where the tailor was.

He stopped in front of the door, knocked and entered.

The first floor was generally the workplaces of the craftsmen, and the upper floors were the areas where they lived with their families.

When Doran entered the tailor's office, he saw that there were piles of fabric lined up all over the room. But these fabrics were usually in a certain order, not in a way that made it difficult to move around the room.

When Doran looked around, he saw the tailor was in the room, but realized that although he knocked on the door, he had not heard him because he was focused on his work.

“Uhhm,” he coughed to get the tailor's attention.

This time, the tailor left the soap piece in his hand on the fabric and stood up angrily. But when he noticed the person waiting by the door, the anger disappeared in an instant.

“Oh, Prince Doran, welcome to my humble place? How can I help you"

“Oh Mr.?”

“Felix sir.” she replied.

“Oh Mr. Felix, if it's okay with you, I would have a request. Could you possibly help me?"

“Of course, please sit down,” he said, pointing to the chair in the room.

After Doran sat down in the chair shown, he saw Felix the tailor standing, and spoke up.

“Mr. Felix no need for formalities, please sit down.” said.

At Doran's request, Felix took the seat next to him.

“How can I help you?, Prince Doran.”

“As a matter of fact, I wanted a special dress made for the wedding.”

"Oh sure, let me get the measurements right away if we're quick we can make it."

“No no, not for me, for the Bride. I've already taken body measurements."

“Oh sure, but what outfit are you thinking of?”

“I actually have the design in mind, if you have paper and pencil I can show you on a sketch.”

Felix was excited by this strange proposal. It cannot be said that his life as a tailor was very exciting. At such times, special requests brought excitement to his life.

"Of course I'll bring it right away." he said and got up from his seat and went to find a paper and a pen.

Not long after, the tailor came back with paper and pen in hand.

Doran immediately began to draw the outfit in his mind.

The tailor Felix was studying the design carefully, he had never seen a design like this before. This was enough to boil the blood flowing in his veins.

When the sketch was finished, Doran straightened up.

"That's it, MrFelix the outfit needs to be finished by the wedding night, can you do that?"

Felix put his hand on his chin, thought for a while, then spoke.

“If I compromise my sleep a little, I can make it on time,” he said and smiled.

"Hah, by the way, I want this outfit to stay hidden, I want to surprise them."

“Of course, Prince Doran, you can count on me,” said Felix.
