A young boy glared at him from under his hood. He looked no older than sixteen years old and looked delicate, almost fragile, like a beautiful china. He gazed up above the faces of the three armored man surrounding him. The titles [Corrupted Knight] [Blood Warrior] and [Shadow Chaser] displayed above their heads. All of them also displayed the red [Killer] and blue [Highwayman] title.

"Please don't hurt me" the boy whispered in a trembling voice.

The three men approached the boy with menacing smiles.

"As long as you-"

The man with the title [Shadow Chaser] was cut off as a black knife flashed through the air and slit his throat.

He gurgled blood as he fell down from the sudden assault.

"What the fuck?" said the man titled [Corrupted Knight] as the two man backed away from the boy and drew their daggers.

The fallen [Shadow Chaser] grabbed his gushing throat and stood up.

"Ha, you attacked the wrong guy kid! He's the strongest one of all of us."

"I know"

The [Shadow Chaser] disappeared and reappeared behind the [Corrupted Knight] and [Blood Warrior] and decapitated the two men with his sword.

"Good Job"

The boy flicked his wrist and the [Shadow Chaser] crumpled to the ground next to his former comrades.

"Too weak"

The boy muttered as he revealed the title he had hidden. The title [Lord of the Graveyard] popped up along with the red [Serial Killer] and a blue [Psychopath].

'Good thing there was a [Shadow Chaser]'

[Shadow Chaser] title gave the holders the ability to use shadows as portals. They also had innate boost in Agility and Dexterity stats.

'Too bad I'm not  a [Devourer]'

Jinsoo was one of the fifty people that were lying on the ground in agony.

The title [Sylvanist] displayed over the girl's head.

"For people with the [Sylvanist] title like myself, we have the power to control plants!"

She hummed a tune and thick green vines sprouted from the ground surrounding her.

As soon as people started touching their left ears, titles started popping up above their heads.

"Ooh, we have two [Lord] titles in this group, [Lord of the Graveyard] and [Lord of Fire]!"

People turned and stared at Jinsoo and a pretty blond haired girl.

"People with [Lord] titles have near absolute power over their domain! As for the [Lord of Fire], they have the power to control the element of fire!"

"Try snapping your fingers!"

The blond girl snapped his fingers and a small fireball appeared above her fingers.

"As for the [Lord of the Graveyard], I'm not sure what they do. I have not run into one yet!"

The silver-haired girl, Mina, clapped her hands.

"Let's go around introducing ourselves and I'll try my best to explain your titles!"

"My name is Jisung and my title is [Spirit Druid]"

"The title [Spirit Shaman] allows you to communicate and interact with Spirits of dead animals. You can even command them to hunt for you!"

"Wow, that's so cool.."

The black-haired men called Hosae whispered.

"My name is Susie and my title is [Blood Warrior]"

"[Blood Warrior] allows you to harden blood to become like steel. One of the founders of this region has that same title. He coats himself in blood and hardens in like steel to prevent attacks from monsters!"

"Ewww"

Susie made a disgusted face.

The pretty blond girl from before spoke.

"My name is Mea and my title is [Lord of Fire]!"

"I explained that title's abilities already. Next!"

A long black haired man gazed towards the crowd.

"My name is Kangchul and my title is [Devourer]"

"Ooh, you have a special title! [Devourer] allows you to consume other monsters to gain their titles and abilities!"

"Wow, that's awesome!"

A few people muttered with a hint of jealousy.

Mina continued.

"People with [Devourer] title are able to gain multiple abilities-"

"I know"

Kangchul jumped and bit into Mea's neck.

Ahhhhhhhk!

Mea screamed as Kangchul ripped through her skin, muscle, and jugular vein.

"Get away from him!"

Mina screamed.

Thick green vines surrounded and imprisoned Kangchul and the dead girl.

"I'm sorry, but I need your abilities"

The vine cage burst into flames and Kangchul slowly walked towards the crowd.

"Stay back! Or else I'll strangle you to-"

A fireball flew from Kangchul's hand and melted a round hole into Mina's body.

"Help m-"

Mina collapsed with coughing up blood.

Jinsoo froze in fear and felt his legs give away as the man with a bloodstained mouth approached the crowd.

"Run away!"

Someone called out in the crowd behind Jisoo.

Above Kangchul's head appeared [Devourer], [Lord of Fire] and [Sylvanist].

As the crowd started to flee, fireballs flew towards them turning them into crisply cooked corpses.

"Tastes like chicken.."

Kangchul muttered.

Everyone around Jisoo were burnt beyond recognition.

"It's okay, it'll be a quick, painless death."

Kangchul approached JIsoo who was slowly backing away from him.

"Somebody help me!!"

Jisoo screamed helplessly.

His eyes flashed a crimson red as tears streamed down his face.

Suddenly, a charred figure grabbed Kangchul's leg. Other charred corpses swarmed on top of Kangchul as he turned the approaching corpses into ashes.

Jisoo ran as fast he could away from the scene into the nearby forest.
