"Your Majesty, the Patriarch of the Mines family has asked you to attend a gathering that will be held the day after tomorrow all the families that trade agricultural goods will be present there."
Lydia was now walking with Ryan. It was around noon and Ryan was walking towards a particular destination.
"Put that into my schedule."
"Yes, Your Majesty."
---
"So is there a specific reason that you asked us to stay, Your Majesty?"
The Patriarch asked.
It was around the time of evening now. It wasn't unusual for the Nobles to have tea together. This was an amazing opportunity to talk about what Ryan had planned. They were sitting on a white table with 3 white chairs surrounding the table. Patriarch, Sheaa, and Ryan could be seen seated. Slightly behind Ryan, Lydia could be seen standing.
"Yes, indeed."
"I would like to know who currently serves as the miner in your mines?"
"It's the Family Servants and Slaves. They were hired by our family and lifted out of poverty. The slaves are people who were sold or sold themselves."
"I have a proposal."
"Please go ahead, Your Majesty."
"It seems that the kingdom's prison has a lot of people there and they don't seem to be suffering enough. They are just living a mundane life. So, I was planning on getting help from the Mage's tower and getting them turned into slaves who would work in the mines. They should be made to do hard manual labor. Would you like to take part in trying this out?"
Honestly, I will not give you the power or rights over these slaves. All of these slaves will be monitored and controlled by the Prison Guards and, hence controlled by me.
"Don't you think this could be risky? They're criminals after all."
"I think it would turn out great, even you know how strong Enslavement Magic is. I will also be sending prison guards to monitor them."
The Patriarch was a bit taken aback by this. He wasn't sure this would work out since criminals were the lowest scum of society.
He thought, thought, and thought.
He put his hand over his chin signifying that he was thinking it over.
"Alright, let's put it to the test." The patriarch said with a smile.
Bingo, more money and I gain a huge amount of influence over the Mines. The plan wasn't just to gain influence over the Mines, but to monitor how much mining would take place within these mines. As the new policy is applied, there's a possibility that the biggest families sell these in black and not to the Association.
With this one of the biggest worries will be eliminated.
"Let's first try applying this on one particular mine and then go about doing it on the others too."
Ryan said excitedly. He too wanted to see how this would turn out.

"Yes, I'd like to see how this turns out as well."
The Patriarch said.
A maid arrived at the table, serving 3 cups of tea to each of the people present at the table. Ryan had completely forgotten that Sheaa was a part of the discussion since she did not take an active part.
Holy shit.
Wait, what if I created a Basic Human Rights policy that enforc-
"What's your opinion about my daughter?"
The Patriarch said directly interrupting Ryan's thought process. He was a no-bullshit person who didn't beat around the bush.
"Father, that was way too sudden."
Sheea said as she stood up because she was surprised.
"It's okay, it's only natural."
Ryan said as he gestured Sheea to sit down and relax.
"I do think your daughter is extremely beautiful. But."
"But what?"
"I'm not as shallow of a person who judges someone from external beauty. We haven't even had any proper interactions where I could judge how her actual personality is."
This surprised both the father and the daughter. It was not unusual for them to be judged just for their beautiful appearance. Some people were stereotypical that beautiful people were good while some did the opposite.
I don't judge people based on appearance at all, I know a concept called the Halo effect, so I don't let appearances control me, or at least influence how I see a person.
"I understand, Your Majesty."
The Patriarch had an expression of both happiness and sadness, happiness because for the first time, he had not been judged for his appearance and made feel like he was an individual. Sad because he thought it'd be easy for Lydia to seduce the King into a marriage. Ryan wasn't against this idea, however, he needed to know that the person he'd be marrying wasn't a dumb monkey.
They soon finished the tea.
"Would you be against me asking for something from you?"
Ryan was curious, what is it that he could give him?
"No, please go ahead."
"I'd like my daughter to gain some experience in the world of politics and I'd be grateful if you would allow her to stay here with you for a few weeks."
Damn, this guy is pretty smart. 2 birds with one stone, with her staying here she will gain information on what happens within the Royal Mansion, while at the same time, she tries to get closer to me. I am curious about what kind of person his daughter is.
"I have no issue with that, but these couple of weeks will be extremely hectic."
"It is not a problem, Your Majesty. I will follow whatever my father asks me to do. It will also give me an incredible insight into the Kingdom's political situation."
"If that's okay with you I have no problem."
"Lydia, make space for her and also get some new clothes that would fit her."
"There's no need for that, Your Majesty. Lydia has already bought a set of clothes."
Richard said with a smirk, implying his victory.
Dammit this bastard, this was his plan all along.
"That's amazing, it's like you already forecasted this future, Patriarch Richard."
Ryan said with a sarcastic smile.
The Patriarch and Lydia sent out an awkward laugh.
Lydia, now was closer to Ryan and whispered into Ryan's ears.
"Your Majesty, Sebas is calling out for you."
Ryan looked around and saw that Sebas was standing nearby.
"I had an incredible time this evening, but work has come up so I'll have to leave."
Ryan said as he stood up. Both the Patriarch and her daughter stood up as well.
"Your Majesty, I'll be taking my leave as well."
He said as he made a bow.
He is the Patriarch, so it would be natural he'd be busy. I won't ask him or force him into staying.
"Sure." Ryan said as he started to walk in Sebas' direction before making a stop.
He turned around.
"Lydia, guide Sheaa to her room and let her freshen up."
"Yes, Your Majesty."
Ryan started walking back in Sebas' direction.
---
Ryan was now sitting back in his Work Room, the table and the chair.
"Your Majesty, the Royal Seal has been prepared."
Sebas said as he brought a box filled with all the ingredients to make a Seal. Opening the box, there was a red candle and a metal structure that would be used to make the seal.
Ryan looked satisfied.
"Have you prepared the permit letter yet?"
"Yes, Your Majesty."
He removed a letter that showed all the contents of the permit and the things Sebas would be allowed to do.
Sebas ignited the candle and let the wax carry down on the page and Ryan quickly put the Metal over it.
Ryan removed it and there it could be seen. The seal of the King.
"Also, do me a favor and call some mages from the Mage's tower. I'd like for them to come here and perform Enslavement Ritual on some people."
Sebas was surprised. Enslavement? Who? But he did not question anything and just agreed.
"Make preparations for tomorrow, I'll be visiting one of the kingdom's prisons."
"Which one?"
"Just choose the biggest one."
"Okay, Your Majesty."
He said as he turned around and left the room.
That's all for today huh? I feel tired for once, but I enjoy it here.
