The moon bled it's last light into the sky as dawn fast approached, they say the night is always darkest before the dawn, but whoever "they" were seemed to stay a mystery, three times had Kinshala tortured scholars looking for the answer to that question, to see if they had any more wisdom for him, and three times had he been left with vague or down right incoherent responses, idiots the lot of them I mean, what kind of a response is please dont hurt the children they didn't do anything wrong. If you had given me my answer there would be no reason to behead your family like honestly.
Kinshala was snapped out of his daydreaming by the sound of footsteps pounding against the cobblestone streets, ah yes his quarry he had almost forgotten. The dark haired man wheeled around and charged off in the direction of his prey.
He had been hunting in the village of Smolnash, for nigh on a week now to draw out this hero, and now that he had he wouldn't be letting them escape him.
For you see, Kinshala had one wish, had since he was a boy. All he ever wanted to do was rule the continent, was that to much to ask for? He thought not but for that he needed power something which right now he was sorely lacking on.
He turned the corner to see the hero in a delectably pretentious pose by the towns central fountain, her blonde hair blowing in the cold Autumn breeze, and her stylishly chosen scale armour did little to hide her ample curves. Kinshala was no looker himself but he was not ugly either he had a subtle intensity to him that drew the eye, long black hair pulled back in a loose pony tail and very angular and lean facial features but his most sticking features were his eyes. They were wild, like that of a savage dog but one was blue and the other was gold betraying his fiendish heritage, see while his mother was a good god fearing woman his father was a servant of the ninth hell as his gold eye, predatory features and tendency to violence suggested.
The hero's eyes shot to him the moment he walked out of the back street.
He swaggered forward arming sword rested across his shoulders and blood dripping from it's tip. More of the stuff was splattered across his face, before the hero showed up he was trying to bait her by playing hide and seek with the village elderman, but each time Kinshala found him he removed a finger he was about to go onto toes when the hero had shown up. Snatching away his prey and taking him to safety before confronting him here, he could almost laugh at how predictable it was.
"Fiend!" She scowled at him from across the plaza it was, he thought to himself the best place in the city for a sword fight, and that was why the hero had chosen it, but it was also why Kinshala had aswell.

"Guilty as charged." He chuckled from behind a svage grin, the woman pointed her sword at him and spoke.
"I am here by order of the White Hand Knights to bring you in for punishment but that if you resist than to execute you the the dog you are, so please. Make my day." It never ceased to amaze Kinshala how bloody pretentious their kind could be, "Make my day" sounded like a line from a bad song. He laughed once more but this time it descended in to a mad cackle.
"You my friend, are a riot. But no, i do not intend to go quietly or at all for that matter, so if you would kindly drop to your knees and hand over what it is that I want i'll be on my way, saves me the bothersome trouble of killing you." He said smiling, then she charged, closing the ground between them in a matter of heartbeats before slashing an uppercut with her longsword almost to fast for the eye to see, good thing Kinshala was ready for it. Still he barely managed to get out of the way sidestepping at the last moment, he would have no chance against here in a fair fight. Good thing he never fought fair.
"Oh my, was it something I said." He laughed maniacally, she responded with a flurry of strikes he barely managed to avoid he thought he got away without an injury before one sliced across his cheek, he winced it would scar, so much for his glorious good looks.
"Die fiend!" She yelled before unleashing yet another flurry of stikes, she landed two this time one cutting his forarm and the other his calf, he was getting tired, gonna have to end it quickly he thought, just get a little closer.
"I don't know why you would be so against my proposition, i thought you would be accostomed to being on your knees spending so much time around priests as you knights do." He laughed again this time with savage fury as she renewed her charge against him, there we go he thought, perfect. She had abandoned all defense commiting all to wild strikes, then he did it. He produced a small clay ball from beneath his leather armour and lit the fuse with the little magic he possessed and then threw it right at the heroes face.
It detonated with a blask of white light blinding all looking at it, well eveyone who wasnt half demon anyway, years of fighting angels had brought them up to be resistant to light aswell as dark.
He could see her flailing wildly with one hand as she rubbed her eyes with the other and then with a mad grin he fell upon her, ramming his shoulder in to her chest knocking her to the ground, from there he walked to her head and laughed madly into the sky as he stomped her into the cobbles, he felt her nose break first, then he felt her teeth give and finally he felt her skull giveway, he set her on fire for good measure, bloody hero's they have a knack for coming back at the worst times.
He bent down and pilfered her corpse for his prize, a small white orb, used by her order to banish demons back to the hells, but with a little tinkering it could be used to bind one. He threw his head back and stared at the moon, "What a lovely night." He spoke to himself grinning, but i have a feeling tomorrow will be even better.
