The jungle is perilous during the night, it always felt like whole jungle came to life and is trying to eat me.

But it was completely silent right now.

I could only hear cracking sounds of something approaching.

Whatever it is I was getting suffocated just by its aura.

Even lina felt it as she woke up and was cowering in fear.

My body was trembling, even though I reinforce the entrance daily but my senses tell me that it cannot hold that monster for long.

I accelerated the process of absorbing bead to the extent that blood was flowing from my mouth and nose.

A thunder smashed on the entrance and scorched the outer layer of our defence.

Now only a wall of logs was separating us from the beast.

The outer defence was on fire and through the gap, I could see the figure of the beast.

It was a blue lion with spikes on it's back.

I clearly saw I grin on his face.

His green eyes looking directly at us through the gap.

There is no way we can survive this.

I lost all hope of survival while bleeding through my mouth because of forcefully absorbing the bead.

Carrying out the last desperate attempt I gathered my energy and activated the trap.

Spears that were hidden flew towards the thunder lion, some gazed its leg some were barely stuck its stomach.

Her full power was only enough to push him a few meters.

Linda charged towards him trying to buy time for us to run away while I could only watch while my body was trembling in fear.

I shouted at myself for being so pathetic.

To summarise...she was getting beaten up.

Gathering some courage I looked at Lina, she was running towards the battle without caring for her life.

Before I knew it I got behind Lina and knocked her unconscious.

At the backside of the cave where I had dug a small hole to hide emergency rations from Lina as this little glutton always ate our food during the night.

I put her inside the hole where emergency rations were stored.

After rubbing her head I blocked the entrance with a fence.
