Prologue

"Haah, haah, haah”

His body was sore as if wrapped in a thick blanket of warm sweat that slowly increased his temperature while also amplifying his fatigue. His mind was aching while his ears were numb and wet, the only sound he could hear was the loud thuds of his heartbeat mixed in with the ringing sound of tinnitus. He opened his mouth, gasping for air like a man who had just resurfaced from under the water.

Isaiah Peter Dragovitch was tired, very tired. Yet not once did the notion of resting enter into his brain as he stood as tall as his five-foot-seven height could afford, yet before him was a man who easily towered his small frame, a man whose body was bigger than a small vehicle covered from head to toe in jet black armor resembling a demonic knight, and in his hand was a mighty war-axe almost as tall as Isaiah was

'How did it get to this point?' He wondered as he gulped down dry saliva, he still remembered that he was on an airplane having just finished a trip with his classmates when the next thing he knew he was already staring down this monster.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

Was it perhaps a dream, or some kind of hallucination brought about by the fumes of the aircraft?

'No.' He told himself, 'This is no dream.'

The giant blew his nose in a manner resembling that of a beast, but that was enough to bring Isaiah back to reality. The nineteen-year-old prepared to fight, but there was no battle to be fought as the victor was already clear, after all, the man was larger, taller, and even carried a weapon with him, this would be no fight but a massacre, a one-sided beating with him at the losing end.

But Isaiah did not waver, for he had a reason to fight back.

He didn’t know how he got here but if he wished to survive he mustn’t think about those things anymore.

‘I am not on Earth...'

He raised his fist and prepared to fight back, as there was one thing on which Isaiah placed his trust, one thing that allowed him to stand in full confidence despite all odds stacked against him.

'I am not weak... Not anymore.'

He took a deep breath and his ragged breathing had been calmed.

“Lightning...”

As those words escaped his mouth, his hands suddenly lit into a burst of blue sparks.
