This prologue serves as the transition between book 1 and book 2 of the ‘Lightning Lord of Catgirls’ series. If you wish to read book 2 as a standalone novel then skip this chapter and read the glossary of characters and the recap chapters. Which should be listed separately*. Yeah, I’m 50/50 on launching this as a standalone title. On one hand, my RS run was crippled for reasons that RR support informed me of later. Then you have to consider the difference in tags between books 1 and 2. My initial draft has 10 tags that are different, it’s the middle book problem. In order to write a cohesive narrative between book 1 and book 3 you have to do some strange things. Think of ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ vs the first and third star wars movies. It’s incomplete, all the characters lose or die, the rebellion is defeated on Hoth, etc. It’s a mess, but it sets up everything in book 3, and continues threads set up in book 1. So taken by itself it feels odd and out of place. So with that in mind, I will not stub book 1 until book 2 is complete. For these reasons I will be linking all ads to the official start of ‘Chapter 1’. I will be including a Glossary of characters, feel free to skim that (obviously it’ll have spoilers for book 1).
