I woke up in the small little makeshift bed that I had been sleeping in for the past few days…
I was stuck with this Cameron person watching over me, even though we looked the same age.
Apparently they were the ‘model experiment’ and I could use some ‘influence’ from them… But I just think they’re an arrogant prick.
I can always hear the sarcasm in their voice when they speak to me.

It was around the time that Cameron came back from their duties and I was lying in their bed since the makeshift bed that was half-heartedly made for me was uncomfortable as fuck.
I wasn’t aware of the time and the door opened, Cameron walking inside the room, only looking at me after a while of looking at the makeshift bed to see if I was there.
When they saw me in their bed, they looked a bit angry and annoyed in some way.
“Can you get off?” Cameron questioned, though it was more a demand than a question.
“No… This is the first comfortable bed I’ve laid on in a year…” I groaned, not wanting to get off of the bed.
“… I’m too tired for this shit…”
“Mm.. fuck you.” I said, before drifting off to a comfortable sleep.

His eyes opened, though what he saw wasn’t the simple decorations in Cameron’s room.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
What he saw above him was a ceiling made of wood, the warm glow of a lamp lighting up the room.
A beautiful woman walked into the room he was in, carrying a tray, her hair the same brown as his, her eyes a similar glistening green as his..
“Happy birthday, sweetheart!” She said, cheerfully. Her voice sounded warm and comforting.
What the hell happened? He thought, unsure about what was going on.
He knew where he was, he knew who this woman was.
It was his mother.
Though, he wasn’t sure if this was a dream or if the year in the lab was a dream
“Are you alright, honey?” She looked at him, concerned, “It’s your sixth birthday, you’ve got plenty more to come.. what’s with the troubled look?”
He tried to calm himself down, “Uhm.. I’m fine, mother… I just.. had a bad dream.”
She smiled at him, her hair swaying as she tilted her head. “You always seem to have bad dreams recently..” She started to laugh a bit at what he said.
“Yeah, well… uhm.. I’m reading a.. horror novel..?” He tried to think of an excuse, though excuses weren’t really his thing.
“Mhm, sure.” She sighed, “Anyways, your friend came over for your birthday. I need to finish making the food.“
She left the room, leaving June wondering who the hell she was talking about. He didn’t have any friends, depressing as that sounds..
But someone walked to his door, carrying a small bag, was a familiar strawberry blonde kid the same age as him.
He noticed the hot pink eyes that looked at him, confusing him even more.
It was Cameron… They seemed to have noticed his confused look ”Dude? You okay? You are uh… staring a lot.”
June blinked, realizing that he had been staring a lot.
Though, in his defense, it was super fucking confusing.
He nodded, though immediately after, Cameron started talking again.
“You look… different. Did your eyes always look like that?” Which was weird, because what did that mean..?

I woke up, breathing heavily. I saw Cameron writing something at a desk. As I watched them for a bit, I saw them get annoyed and ball up the piece of paper they were writing on.
They threw it on the ground, groaning.
“Whatcha doing, Ronnie?” I said, trying to annoy them. Considering the last time I said it, they almost hit me, but it was in front of an audience so they couldn’t let their ‘perfect’ persona fall.
Though, since they were in private, Cameron didn’t have to have their ‘perfect’ persona on.
“Stop. Stop calling me that.” They sighed, seeming stressed.
“Ha. Loser.” I laughed, getting off their bed..
I walked around the room, then decided to peek at what they were doing.
But that idiot flipped the damn paper over.. RIGHT AS I WAS ABOUT TO LOOK.
“The fuck do you want?” They scowled, obviously annoyed.
“Well, OBVIOUSLY, I wanted to see what my new best friend was doing!!” I said, my words having a joking tone to them.
“Don’t… eugh, don’t call me that.”
I, very sneakily and very stealthily, reached for the paper they were writing on.
They smacked my hand away.
“Oh, come on, Cameron! What’cha writing???” I asked, purposely annoying them.
“It’s none of your concern.”
“Wow…. What a prick.” I walked around the room, just bored, and trying to get my mind off the dream I had.
