During the night I noticed that the foxes were rapidly changing. The changes differ from Fox to Fox although there were some consistencies there were also instances where they changed drastically. One of the foxes grew two extra tails. The speed at which they were growing was incredible. When the tales were done growing I could not tell that they were new. I wonder if this is normal for their species or if there is an outside Factor affecting them. Given how diverse the changes are it could be an outside Factor. With the information I have I cannot determine if this is natural for the Foxes. I know this is not natural for animals from the real world so this could be a point towards this is a dream/coma. For now my next steps will be to focus on expanding my view so I can find another set of foxes to compare to the original set.

In the morning the foxes had to dig their way out of the den. After they left the den they split up. Before they left my view range they would all pause before leaving. Some of them seemed almost indecisive on whether to Stay or Leave Crossing in and out of the boundary several times before leaving.
After the foxes left I began my work. The first thing I did was move myself to the back of the den. This took longer than expected due to my view range going fuzzy whenever I moved. This made it much more difficult to actually move myself. Once I was in place the next thing I did was enlarge the tunnel that led to the outside in case the foxes keep growing. I kept the structure similar to that of the den, I also enlarged the storage space. I call it a storage space but all is really filled with is detritus. The detritus is mostly made up of bones from various animals. Using the leftover material from the expansion I created a pillar around my core. Once I had the pillar I began to attempt to move upwards. This was more difficult than anticipated Since I had to focus on two things at once: moving my core and creating a platform underneath. I ended up scrapping this attempt and instead creating a pillar near the core with small steps leading upwards. I would then lift my core and place it on top of each step to reorient myself. Moving my core took most of the day but once I was done I felt that it was safer to have the core away from potential damage.
Now that my core is safe I focused on expanding my view range in hopes of finding more animals. I choose to head away from where the foxes leave and enter my view range. As I expand I take note of the land surrounding the den. It seems like the den is on the edge of a field with the entrance facing the woods. The foxes usually head into the woods so I am currently expanding towards a field of grass.. I spent the rest of the day expanding and when I was done I could see About 10 ft into the field. My view range kind of looks like a pill. It is approximately 10 ft wide and 20 ft long.
Once the foxes returned they went through their usual inspections of the changes to the den. The first Fox that returned seemed disappointed that there were no new toys to play with. When the rest of the foxes returned they played a little then settled down to sleep. Once the foxes were asleep I decided it was time to take another look at the void to see if anything had changed. stealing myself for the experience I looked outward again. Looking around the void for something else I found small dots of light as I focused on one I suddenly felt Warmth, the sensation of ground beneath me and I could hear the soft chirping of crickets. Then suddenly I could see although I could not control what I was saying I could see the den. My viewpoint looked around and I could see the foxes. After counting them quickly I found I could only see 4. I think I am seeing through the eyes of one of the foxes. retreating back into the void I go back to my view range and see one of the foxes looking around as if something had disturbed its sleep. The fox soon decided to go back to sleep. I had thought over what had happened, I think I can share senses with the foxes. I think it would be best to test this in the morning when the foxes are awake and more active, they can obviously sense me interacting with them. For tonight I think I will focus on expanding my view range and occasionally check on the foxes.

When the first fox woke up I decided to take a look through its eyes. This seemed to disturb it a lot less than when it was asleep. I watched as the fox left the den and began roaming around my view range. From what I can sense from the fox it did not want to leave my view range but it knew its prey was out there. The fox eventually returned to the den and that's when I noticed that all the foxes were still Within my view range. Returning to my view range I saw that all the foxes had not left my view range and were either sticking near the edge or wandering within it. I think it's a good idea to expand my view range if only so the foxes have more room to wander. After all, I can't find any food for them within my view range. I explained my view range Into the Woods and noticed that the foxes would follow closely behind my expansion. I still don't think it's good for them to stay within my view range all day. Maybe there's another solution I know I can share senses with them, maybe I can encourage them to leave for the day like usual. Focusing on one of the foxes I first try figuring out if I can give it directions or suggestions. My first test will be thinking of it looking left then right. The fox did look in those directions but it was caused by noise instead of my actual directions. On my next attempt I tried focusing on the fox moving to a certain area. My first attempt failed but the second attempt was a success. I managed to get the fox to Move near where I wanted it to be. To get the fox to move I had to give it clear instructions to get it anywhere near where I wanted it to be. Now that I know how to direct the foxes at least somewhat I'm going to try and direct them to leave for the day. I tell the foxes to go outside my view range and return when ready. Most of the foxes left the area however two returned and I had to further encourage them to leave again. I decided to spend some Time expanding my view range.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
Rather than expanding further into the field I decided to focus my efforts on the tree line. I explained it along the tree line for most of the day until I got bored. I then Started construction on a new hole in the field. I created a small hole in the ground By moving the grass up in a domed shape. I then began to dig downwards while compacting the dirt into small squares for easy Storage. I spent the rest of my day doing this and by the end of the day I had enough to further reinforce the den and create some more sculptures or toys. Unfortunately the foxes returned before I could utilize the material I had gathered. By my Reckoning the foxes returned slightly earlier than usual. They spent some time playing outside the den and soon tired out. Shortly after they entered the den to sleep. I decided to spend my night working in my new quarry and seeing how much material I can gather.

In the morning I watch as the foxes once again refuse to leave my view range. I have to encourage them to leave again, It took more effort this time to encourage them to spend their day away from their home. The foxes changed more last night however it seemed less intense than the original changes.
With the foxes now gone I decided to focus on upgrading the den. bringing in material I dug up from my little Quarry was more difficult than expected. I ended up having to create new imagery to move the cubes. I ended up imagining a force coming from Below the cube in order to lift it into the air and move it to the den. Once I had the cubes in the den I decompressed them and moved the material to reinforce the wall. Once I have reinforced all the walls I decided to decorate them. I tried many different things but in the end I decided to go with a design inspired by Valknut’s. After carving this design into the walls of the den I decided to focus on expanding my view range like yesterday… Okay, explaining my view range is getting really boring at this point. maybe I should try and make my directed expansions passive like I had attempted on day one. wait now that I think about it I should probably keep track of the days so I think it's been about 5 days that sounds right 5 days. I decided to use tally marks below my test sentence. I can still read it still says “is this a dream” which I still don't have a definitive answer for. Now that I think about it I should probably write down what the current score is (comma /dream ~2) V (reality ~2). I decided to put my scoreboard above my question. With that done I think I should focus on multitasking, if only to alleviate my boredom while waiting on my view range to expand. I need a task that is fairly simple to complete. The easiest one I can think of right now is creating a simple sculpture. Maybe making a sculpture isn't the right thing to do in this case, maybe I should instead change my compacted dirt cubes into cylinders or other geometric shapes. yeah that sounds about right I will change my dirt cubes into various geometric shapes while trying to expand my view range. I think it would be best if I don't focus on expanding in a certain direction like I've been doing recently. So now that I know I'm going to focus on which one to start with, carving the blocks will take most of my attention so I should first focus on expanding my view range then transition into carving…

I spent the rest of my day attempting to multitask. I had some success but I found that working on more complicated tasks would cause my view range to stop expanding. However I count this as a success since I can at least do something while waiting on my view range to expand. During my experimentation the foxes returned and I kind of lost track of time. I'm not sure if they returned early or late, by the time I had noticed them they were already asleep in the den. Doing a quick check over the den I noticed some damage to the pattern I made. It looked like one of the foxes had scratched at it and damaged the fragile carving. I think I'll fix that tomorrow after the foxes leave for the day. For the rest of the night I will work on my multitasking ability, hopefully I'll find something interesting in the morning.

It looks like the foxes have just woken up and there's a light drizzle outside the den which is quickly growing into a full-on thunderstorm. It's interesting watching rain suddenly appear within my view range to me, the raindrops start as fuzzy shapes just outside of my view range and quickly come into focus. It's very similar to watching rain fall while driving a car at night, at the edge of the light they are very blurry but close to the windshield it is easier to tell what they are. I decided to see what it is like from a fox's point of view. I spent a good hour just listening to the Rain through one of the foxes near the entrance of the den. It was nice until I noticed The water level rising in the lowest part of the den. It didn't look like it would cause too much of an issue except that most of my decorations that I spent yesterday making are being damaged or entirely erased by the water. I guess I'll fix them when the rain stops. Now that I think about it I should probably just make a solid border between my carvings and the floor to prevent damage in the future. I think I will have to modify the den in order to keep the water level under control. It doesn't look like it's an issue right now but if the water rises too much it will eventually enter the sleeping and storage spaces of the den. Now that I think about it, the den is constructed so that these spaces will be dry in case of a storm. All the water seems to pool in the tunnel rather than in the back of the den where the sleeping space is located. Although the den is handling the rain well, my little dirt Quarry is not doing well. It is completely flooded and most of the loose dirt inside it has turned to mud, The top of the Quarry even collapsed. Wait, is the den in danger of collapsing, running a careful eye over the den it seems to be okay, for now I'll have to keep an eye on it. It does not look like the water is eroding the walls too much, it also isn't dripping through the ceiling so that's another bonus. For now I think I will just periodically check the den’s condition and enjoy the rain through one of the foxes.
