Introduction

3rd person

When the universe began it was nothing but debris. To creatures akin to deities appeared. One a beautiful maiden who had had a roaring flam within her, and the other a young man who had a small candle that slowly faded.

The brother feared the darkness and asked his sister to share her light, but try as she might she could not even give him a single spark. As he lay there dying he made a request. He asked his sister to share her flame with the mess that was the universe.

As she did that the universe and our world took shape. The planets and stars formed from coalescing debris. On one plants and animals appeared. Then other creatures. Finally humans appeared.

Right as the last spark was about to disappear from the brother’s eyes was about to disappear an animal ate a blade of grass. This event may have seamed insignificant to most but it was the one thing that could save him. The spark from the blade of grass left as it died and entered the brother. Then more animals started to eat, and more sparks entered him. The flame inside of him had bin rekindled by the spark that left all creatures as they died, but his flame was dark while his sister’s was light. As the brother gained strength his sister slowly lost hers.

It was small but for every creature that died she lost a small piece of her flame. The brother new there had to be balance so he with his own flame added something to his sisters world. Birth. Now every time a creature came into being his sister’s flame grew brighter and when it died he gained another spark for himself.

The world slowly progressed. Millennia passed as the two siblings grew and watched over the world. They had tried to interact with the world. Where the sister went the world thrived and she became known as a god thought the planet, but where the brother went death fallowed and he became known as a fiend, a devil, as death.

The humans referred to the two as Yin and Yang. Yin the goddess of light and prosperity and Yang the god of death and destruction.

The brother slowly slipped to despair as he gazed at the humans from afar. He could not help that his flame corrupted the world so he hid himself away so that he didn’t harm anyone. His sister tried to cheer him up but to no avail. He viewed his sister as holy and pure and could never hate her. He saw himself as the problem, and could only despise himself. In the deepest corner of his mind an idea slowly formed.

‘ I want to live and die. I want a life that comes full circle,’ he thought.

He slowly made a plan.
