Chapter 1: The School Trip

----------------------------------------

"D-Damn it..." a boy with very short hair huffed as he jumped from rock to rock. He was currently in a rocky area, navigating his way towards a hill. His head was bleeding slightly. As he moved at a speed faster than a normal human being, he glanced behind his shoulder and gritted his teeth. "They're almost here...!"

Wasting no time, he finally jumped high into the air, before landing on top of a hill ahead of him. He then spun around and saw three Koreans land a little far away from him on top of a huge rock.

One of the Koreans smirked. "We found you... Dave!"

Dave scoffed. "And? I'll still kill your ass!"

The Korean standing in the middle chuckled and looked at his partners. "Alright, you two can go and head back. I'll take care of Dave myself."

However, his partner hesitated. "B-But... Juno..."

Juno glared at his partner. "You are currently injured, for god's sake. You really think you can take him on at your current condition?"

Indeed, his partners were injured, due to the damage they had received from Dave earlier. After realizing that their boss was right, the two partners nodded at the same time, and suddenly disappeared in an instant, leaving trails of dust behind them. It was almost as if they had just vanished from the planet!

Juno smirked and now returned his attention back at Dave. "Alright, punk. You have escaped the jaws of death for long enough. Now I'll make sure this will be your last moment."

Dave glared at Juno and held his fist forward towards his opponent. "This ends now for you... I got a secret technique up my sleeve."

Juno stared at Dave, amused. "Oh? And what would that technique be?"

Dave shifted uncomfortably as he glanced around his surroundings and thought to himself, "This guy... He's too strong... As I am now, I have no chance against him. I must find a way to get to the dojo before he kills me..."

Juno suddenly laughed manically, as Dave stared at his opponent in confusion. "What's so funny?" he asked.

Juno slowly stopped laughing and narrowed his eyes at Dave. "Oh... I can tell that you are probably bluffing, to buy yourself some more time... But I won't waste any more time... I'll end this RIGHT NOW!"

And with that, Juno suddenly jumped towards Dave, his speed being much faster than the human eye!

"W-What?!" Dave said, shocked, as he prepared to block the incoming attack.

However, Juno easily got through his defence and landed a hard punch, sending Dave flying over the hill.

As Dave was now falling from the air, he noticed that there was a forest below him. "I-I need to fight back!"

He quickly regained his composure and maintained his balance midair before placing his palms forward and sideways, with his wrists touching each other, and shouted, "BEGONE!"

However, Juno was too fast, and immediately appeared in front of Dave, as the latter widened his eyes in shock.

The Korean Fighter slammed his palm onto Dave's stomach, causing his opponent to cough out blood. The impact of the attack sent Dave crashing down towards the forest, creating a huge crater and destroying many trees and the surroundings.

While in mid-air, Juno was now falling down towards the crater. However, he simply performed a serious of acrobatics before landing nimbly into the crater. With a smug look on his face, he then strode towards the middle of the crater, where Dave had fallen.

The short haired teenager was on the ground, as he staggered back to his feet. However, he immediately fell down on his knees and gasped for air, and wiped the blood on his mouth with his hand.

Juno appeared in front of Dave and smirked. "This is where it ends. Any last words?"

Dave placed his hands on the ground along with his knees, and he suddenly felt a pressure on the back of his neck. "Ngghh!"

Juno had placed his leg on the back of Dave's neck, and was now applying pressure downwards to punish him further.

Dave tried to power his way upwards. However, he was too weak at this point to get his opponent's leg of off him.

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

Juno sighed in exasperation and placed his hand to the right, as a sword materialized in a glow of light right next to his hand. Before the sword could fall on the ground, he quickly caught it and raised it upwards, intending to kill Dave by stabbing his back.

"No!" Dave growled and widened his eyes in rage. He quickly moved aside to get Juno's leg of off him, and created some sort of energy orb around his palm. He placed his palm on the ground, and with the energy orb making contact with the ground, it made an explosion.

KABOOM!

A cloud of dust appeared, as Juno couldn't see anything. He had to cover his eyes to protect himself from the blast. "W-What the...?!"

As soon as the cloud of dust cleared, Juno saw no signs of Dave. "Where the hell did he go off to now?!"

However, something caught his attention from the corner of his eye. He looked to his right and saw Dave climbing a hill. "No escape!"

Juno decided to end things and placed his hand forward, and fired some sort of energy blast, as it directly hit Dave.

KABOOM!

This created a huge explosion, which in turn destroyed the hill, and created a huge cloud of dust.

While Dave was hit by the energy blast, he was still alive, albeit barely. The shockwave of the explosion sent him flying and crashing towards a nearby rocky area. The injured fighter hit his head multiple times near the rocks while falling down before completely plummeting into a deep ravine.

MEANWHILE...

As the Gusty wind blew, Ethan began to steady his breathing as he wobbled over a rock on a hill. His legs shook, and was currently having trouble navigating the rocky path ahead of him.

"Come on, we're almost to the top!" a girl with mahogany hair smiled at him. "Don't stop now."

Ethan glanced uphill, the top being still quite a way ahead. He stopped in his tracks and leaned back against a cedar tree.

"Are you sure about this, Mia? Still seems a long way to go." Ethan said in between breaths.

"It will just take another five minutes." Mia promised. She wore a red and white check shirt, blue jeans, and had a jacket tied around her waist. Her bun had come undone in the back and her hair flowed down her back waist.

Easy to say that. Ethan bit back his words and decided not to argue. Normally it wouldn't be a problem climbing up a simple hill. But given the current circumstances, they had been hiking for a little over two hours now. Ethan sighed and continued to move forward.

He disliked hiking. Not because of the physical activity, but because he just didn't like it. The only thing he loved about hiking was the cool breeze that would blow on top of a hill. But other than that, there was nothing else special he found about it.

The only reason they were currently hiking was because of their school trip that led them to the place they were currently in. The bus that had dropped the students, along with Ethan and Mia, was not too far away. They had started hiking at one point, went in circles, and then came back to their original start point, and were now climbing another hill that they had missed out earlier.

Being sixteen years old and young, he was a blue belt holder in Taekwondo. However, today he was feeling awfully exhausted. In the past few weeks, he had been spending more time trying to find an opportunity trying to talk to Mia.

Mia was only two months younger than Ethan. From what you can tell by now, Ethan has taken a liking to Mia. However, he has never made a move on her, now will he ever will, simply because of the thought that she may be completely out of his league.

"And when that's the case, sometimes it's better to never make a move," Ethan blurted out. Realization dawned on his face as he glanced at Mia, his face beetroot red.

Mia was staring at Ethan the whole time and asked, "What?"

Ethan gasped. Luckily, he had only blurted out the last part, and not his entire thoughts. "Sorry, I'm just lost in thought," he said as he wiped his forehead.

Currently, hundreds of voices were shouting over one another ahead of the duo. The students continued their chitter chatter as they were climbing up the hill. The top of the hill was now visible in the distance. Once they climbed to the top, Ethan widened his eyes in awe.

A beautiful scenery was visible in front of him, with hills that were dotted with poppies, crocuses, and wild cherry trees. The breeze smelled of blooming myrtle. On the right side of the beautiful scenario, was a rather rocky area with a spine of forested hills twisted down its centre.

"Isn't it beautiful?" Mia beamed at Ethan, with the latter laughing a little.

The escort who was leading the whole class turned around and placed his hands on his hips. "This is the place I was talking about! Now the good news is, we get to relax and have a picnic on those hills! However, we must of course take a different route if we want to get there..."

As the whole class stared at the exquisite flowers on the hills, Ethan yawned and looked to his right. "I wonder how long do we have to hike..."

Suddenly, he noticed something from the corner of his eye and saw a dot in the distance. Due to being far away, he couldn't tell what it was. However, he squinted at the distance and saw something fall into a ravine that was nearby the spine treed hills.

Ethan slumped his shoulders, baffled. "Uhh... what was that?"

"What was what?" Mia leaned towards Ethan.

Ethan glanced behind his shoulder and saw Mia staring at him, which made his cheeks flush a bit. "Uhhh... Nothing... I just saw something in the distance..."

Mia smiled. "What did you see?"

Ethan stared back at the yonder. "Probably a bird."

Mia shrugged and took out a camera from her backpack and started taking pictures of the beautiful scenario ahead of them soon after. As she took the pictures, Ethan decided to observe a bit more from the distance and try to figure out what he saw exactly.

Upon observing, he suddenly widened his eyes in shock when he saw a bit of smoke coming from the corner of the forested hill. "Wait... what the?!"

Ethan took a step forward and fished through his backpack before taking out a pair of binoculars. He then placed it on his eyes and used it to look further in the distance.

Upon wearing it, he noticed a Korean jumping from rock to rock, seemingly searching for someone.

But what shocked Ethan was that this Korean teenager was able to jump from rock to rock like as if he was some sort of superhero.

"I need to find out what the hell is going on there..." Ethan dropped his binoculars in utter disbelief, as he stared at the distance.
