Continuation - Passing of time.

Matthew’s POV

Three weeks later.

Weeks passed of me and my squad running missions on Dherki, the appearance of void on this planet only increased as time passed on. The equipment was finally set up as so portals and rifts from other worlds wouldn’t open without our consent similarly to Earth and Etyria.

With our jobs done here on this world we were now preparing to leave for home where our outfit was making preparations for the next expedition into the unknown.

This was our last day on Dherki and I was currently inside my given room within the Sky whale aircraft, a massive beast of a ship large enough to hold a whole city within. Done with my morning stretch and shower I put my clothes on as my Fae companion inspected the runic inscriptions on my body, Saya flew around in her created body going through the little scars I gained from the more recent missions.

“Master I know you’re strong and all but you could have been more careful with that void goliath!” her adorable high pitched voice shouted out as she inspected the scar on my left arm for any permanent damage on the runes.

“Sorry, three weeks of constant hunting those things put me on edge. I can’t allow them to take another damn world.” I replied honestly, my feelings towards the grotesque creatures as cold and ugly as ever.

Saya sighed “Ember will be able to heal the scars over time, two areas require inscription repair. Casting lightning blessing and warcall will be impossible without the chant for now.” she explained.

“It’s fine, I’ll just inscribe over the scars until they heal.” I replied while putting on my coat, fully dressed I was now looking into the crystal mirror.

Red short hair with scattered white strands, a red right eye with a yellow slit, a black left eye with red cracks spread all over it’s surface. A single white horn grew out of my forehead ending in a hook like shape, a pitch black crystal was embedded into it’s front.

“Master you cannot!” Exclaimed the little fairy as she fluttered over to my face. A tiny beautiful girl with pasty white skin, short snow white hair, a green left eye and silver right eye. She wore a long black one-piece dress with silver linings giving it a flowery design. Her wings were like a butterfly’s but snow white with black lining the edges and silver making a pattern of tendrils inside.

“You’ll only damage yourself further! Let the scars heal first!” she ordered me with an angry pout, her arms crossed together over her non-existing chest.

I sighed in defeat “Fine fine, I’ll refrain from re inscribing…” I turned around and walk over to the door, the room being no larger than six by six meters.

(“Master, shall you be meeting with the woman as planned today?”) Asked my fire spirit Ember through our shared mind.

I stopped by the door (“Yes I will, our relationship has been…awkward these past weeks. I need to set things straight and I believe she thinks the same. We’ve barely been talking outside of missions…”)

(“Need advice?”) Stated my dark-chaos spirit Wayne with sarcasm.

(“Ignore the flightless bat, neither of us know the first thing to relationships. Go ahead master.”) Replied Ember followed by a mental jab at Wayne.

“Owow…why does miss Ember have to bully little Wayne so much?...” Asked Saya innocently and with worry as her form dissipated and flowed into me.

With a short chuckle I opened the door “Let’s go”.
