This article is an explanation on the coup d’etat in turkey. The article opens with how the coup began “Late Friday, tanks rolled onto the streets of the capital, Ankara, and Istanbul.” It then continues through the timeline of it happening and updates. The biggest belief is that Turkish Islamic preacher Fethullah Gulen is the one who caused the coup, having low-ranking military officers who rebelled against their superiors stage the coup. Erdogan after stating Gulen was the one who caused the coup he asked, almost begged Barack Obama to evict Gulen and send him back to turkey so they can properly punish him for his crimes. In the end, the coup d’etat was not successful.
This event was not a surprise but also came fast. Turkey has been a coup feat for a long time usually happening every 10 years, although there hasn't been a coup for a lot longer recently there may now be more happening. NATO the governmental system they are a part of already has ways to deal with this so not much has affected that.

There is now 2 sides in turkey, those who love and worship Erdogan and those who despise him. Erdogan has blamed Fethullah Gulen for this coup, but he has reportedly said he was not the one caused it.
I believe this coup should have happened, far too many people do not like their leader and if a new one was appointed it would be better. The coup was a surprise when it did fail although they didn't have many troops they had a lot of power. Hopefully, a new leader is appointed that everyone can agree with soon.
