Chapter 2 - Learning.

When Aswad waking up and found himself being tied in the bed. A moment later after he awake, enter a muscular man to the room.
"Oh, you awake. Tell me how you come here?" asked the muscular man with a serious tone.
"Are you Master Blacksmith?" Aswad asking the man.
"And what if I am?"
"Then I am at the right place,... Oh sorry, How I came here? IT is because I asked the AI to send me here."
NPC does not know what the AI mean so the AI made all NPC heard the spoken word AI by User/Player will be heard as a goddess or god depends on the NPC. so the muscular man heard this "I asked the god to send me here". Because the Master Blacksmiths is believe in Blacksmith God Haephaestus.
"God, eh?" ....
Is he will be the one that 'inherite' it? but he said god. that probably true because the barrier itself cast by the god. Only I am the one who capable to enter and out.
After a long silence... the muscular man decide to believe in the foreigner before him.
"And what is the purpose of you visit here?"
"Because I want to learn the way of forge." answer Aswad.
'I see, does it mean he praying to learn blacksmith? wait he said god send him here. Is it finally the time? I will take this as the gamble.' The muscular man thought.
"I see" Nodded at Aswad word, he introduce himself.
"My name is Hefrius, Blacksmith."
"My name is Aswad. Foreigner"
(Quick Info: Foreigner refer to the Player/User)
"Foreigner? Now I understand...." Said Hefrius nodding at the word Foreigner.
"Rest first kid, you taking my bown that I use 10% of my strength. Usually anybody receive my attack with 5% will die, thank to the barrier I guess that you still alive. We will talk about learning, later. for now Rest" said Hefrius while leaving the room.

-1 Day before Aswad arrival-
"Fuhhh~~~ Finally it was done." I contemplating at my newly made sword with a satisfying smile.
Though a bit tired than usual, hey it's a Artifact. It was a well made, Later I will test this at the Labyrinth.
How unusual for me to sleep early today but I think it is because I'm more tired than usual.
That night when I was sleeping, I been greet by my god in my dream. He said "Soon, there will be a Human that will come to learn blacksmith from you. Judge him, if he have the capablity to learn 'it'. Teach him that. I believe in your judgement."
And then I awake by the sudden revelation. How should I accept him, and how will come? wondering what should I do... in the morning I ignore that dream because I think it will be a long time before he arrive.
(Meanwhile the god giving Hefrius revelation, Aswad was asking the AI about master blacksmith.)

"what the...." [Cat] was flabbergasted by the times she awake, she seen a pile of item in front of her. Laying down on the ground. What just happen in the past 5 hours when she sleep? she does not know. Another thing keep bugging her is with the notification window.

The notification is one thing, but the item? Then he ask the nearby nekomata that kneel before her.
"Why are you kneeling? and what is this item for?" Cat asked. Even her voice also beautiful rang into the ear of the listener.
"The items before is an Offering for you, My goddess." said the male nekomata while kneeling.
'Goddess? Did I do something when I asleep?' Cat was thinking and wondering. As far as she know, she does not have habit while sleeping. Be it sleepwalking, or sleeptalking nor do any activity while sleeping. Well as far she remember, yes. it is none.
'well, easy item. let's take it since I really don't have anything yet.' then she take all the item, ingrediant, meat, all that lay down on the ground before her.
When the villager see that she 'accept' their offering, the village all fall into merrily state. All Villager happy that the their goddess accept their offering. When she stand from the bench, she want to leaving and do some killing. All User must be stay within the village or City for a month. But since she was a mortal goddess, this rule does not apply to her.
When she passed to a some Nekomata Kids that busy playing, she stop and see the cheerful kids that playing. Make her remembering her childhood where she playing with her friends. When the kids aware of her presence, their come crowded around her. And then she play awhile with them, seeing the cheerfull and happiness of the kids make her forgot of her tiring time when working.
Then when she done playing with the kids, she want to leave the villages but she was stopped by Nekomata Elder.
"Please Wait, Megami-sama. Before you leave, will you stay here for one more day?" asked the Elder after Introduce himself as Elder Rinyo. Cat does not have anything she want to do yet, so she just agreed to stay.
Today instead of the Bench, Elder Rinyo show her the house that protected by barrier, even the elder cannot enter. But when Cat step unto the area, the barrier do nothing. Usually, anything that came through the barrier will be reflect back. but Cat can easily enter with ease. Then the Elder Rinyo tell her that this house was once belong to the Goddess Nekomata in the past.
That night, when Cat inviting Elder to enter, The barrier was open to elder so he can enter. And then Elder Rinyo tell her the real reason for why he asked her to stay for one day. First because he want to confirm the divine presence in her. Second was to ask her to do a quest.
Elder Rinyo telling a story where before her appear, there is another 2 goddess before her. One Known as Kuroka, second known as Koneko.
"Before you Appear.. those two goddess always came visit this Nekomata village. sometime giving us the blessing. But 50 years ago, they did not come. We thought there is something that made them busy but after a year they didn't come. We worried.. now after 50 years they still not appear in the village. We want to ask Megami-sama to find the reason why did they disappear?"

Cat accepting the quest since she had nothing to do yet. After all she just receive a special quest. and Rank A to boot.

Spiritor who just 'rampage' on killing the wild boar before him was satisfying with the result. 30 Wild boar was killed. And he ross to level 25 when he done. Little did Spiriter know that he was under watching eyes. Spiriter made a fire with his breath, though overdone a little. Hey if it can do it job to roasted the wild boar meat. It's okay right? Thought Spiriter.
After releasing all his stress on the wild-boar, he was hungry. and decide to roasted the wild-boar meat.
The watching figure waiting till Spiriter satisfy his stomach. When he done, the figure come from above and land behind Spiriter.
Spiriter that aware of the sudden gust of wind that came from behind made him turn himself and seen a sight of a single dragon with a crimson black color scaled behind him.
"Wha....." Spiriter surprise with the appearance of the dragon.
[You stunned for 1 minute]
"Greeting, Young Dragon." said the Crimson Black dragon with a majestic voice and aura.
"Greeting, May I know what is the purpose of this sudden 'visit'?" Spiriter remain calm although he was stunned but he still can speak and since the Dragon was greeting him. meaning the dragon must have the reason of this visit.
"To be exact, nothing young dragon. But When I see the way you fight those wild boar that can be kill easily taking your times made me furious. We, the Dragon that wield the power of darkness should not fight like that. Since I'm bored, would you like to be train under me, Young Dragon?" asked the Crimson Black Dragon.

[Reshi] a young looking lady can be consider as genius among geniuses. Because she is the one who create the code for each materials in the games. Even the story line develop by her. Taking a numerous type of ln, manga and anime as a data for the history in the legends online. The Data requiring for generating the 'Class', Quest, NPC behaviour also made by her.
To made NPC look like a real human, [Reshi] put the emotion data on the NPC. Well, easy said. Almost 40% of developing the Legends Online is work by [Reshi] alone. she keep working hard to made the game successful. And then she create her personal AI to manage and monitoring her work. Since she had yet have the chance to Dive into her creation world.
It takes her 2 days to complete the AI by herself. Including synchronizing the AI with the machine take another 24H to be done. And then she finally have the time to dive when the AI was complete synchronize with the diving machine. But before she dive, she log in to the private group that member consist of the participant researcher only.
They used this chat group to continue working on their respective office or in the house. No need to fear about the hacking into the this private group chat. Because, the one who create the group is [Reshi] herself. Why? because her defense programs was enough to shut-down the attacker computer while taking a necessary data like location from where the attack came from and the identity of the attacker including with his or her personal account data.
Not that there anyone try to hack the group chat. In the group many ex-participant and now become full-fledge Royal Road staff company chatting themselve about what their use the wish for. some asking for OP weapon, some asked for multiple stat rise when level up. and some talk about the locked race.
Easy said those 200 participants is have OP character. OP-weapon? OP-Armor with riddiculous Defense? yeah every type o wish can be seen written on the chat. But that will not made them appear in the Ranking User, because first one they are staff. Second one was, Over-power class, item, character that made through wish will not be list in the RoyalRoad site.

After fully rested, Aswad rise from bed and stand trying to feel each part of his body to be sure that his body is well-rested. A few minute later, he exit the room when he smell a nice fragrance of the foods.
"Oh, Aswad. You have awake. come, join me. I cook for you part too." said Hefrius with a cheer tone. His behavior change 100% unlike before. But Aswad don't want to pry, he just assume that Hefrius must have the reason why he acted like that before.
"Okay" said Aswad while joining Hefrius on breakfast meal.
When both done with their meal, Hefrius told aswad to wash the dish. Not that Aswad care since he already been taking care for 2 days. So helping Hefrius in washing dish is small matter. When Aswad done cleaning all the dish, he exit the house and meet Hefrius.
"Here" Hefrius gave a single pick that made from Metallic Iron? to Aswad.
Aswad knew that they're will be going to mining some iron for the forge. Well not just mining for a 2 weeks staying with Hefrius, Aswad done various of chore. Either hekping cleaning the dish, doing the laundry, cleaning the house, clearing the lawn from the wild weeds. Aswad did not asked anything, he just doing all the chore with patient.
Because he assuming that doing this various chore is some kind of test for him. Even though he is not sure but still doing it. Hefrius that been watching all Aswad activity while doing the chores is smile at his soon-to-be-apprentice. That noon, 2 week after seeing Aswad doing the chore. Hefrius called Aswad and begun his real trial of learning blacksmith.
At first stage, the trial was questionaire. Aswad can only answer few question and the rest is he just gave an answer "I don't know... yet" His answer made Hefrius smile at the word 'yet'. Second trial was Holding the hammer for a certain length times. The third is mosst easier what does blacksmith needed to be successful in his work. Aswad answer "Concentration and hardWork without giving-up."
And then the beginning of the day Aswad learning how to forge.
