A young man named Cyrus on the turn of adulthood riddled with questions and a longing for adventure gets more than he ever dreamed along with his nightmares as his village is set upon by knights bearing the human patron god Rofton Snamuh, led by a half-giant, known as Alistor Kane, the Gray Mountain. After a very one-sided fight Cyrus wakes up being carted through a scorching desert awoken by the blazing heat and the sadistic cackle of Pigmen as they cracked whips to the sound of innocent screams.
