In a town called "Bamboo Town" there was a loud scream coming from a house nearby. A woman named Laura Z. Lor, was giving birth to a child. The husband of Laura, named Jor Kai, went out to get help. He gathered some elderly women from the town to come help. Laura was screaming in pain while giving birth. After an hour, she gave birthed to a baby boy. The husband was relieved that the baby was born. One of the elderly women got a towel and wrapped it around the baby. She brought the baby to Laura. Laura looked at Jor, happily, then back at the baby. 

Laura: Let's name him......Hyunji.....

Jor: Yes......Hyunji Z.....Kai

Laura: That's a great.....name....Hyunji Z. Kai.....(Looks at Hyunji)

Laura was very pale after giving birth to Hyunji. She died shortly after naming the baby. Jor cried as she passed away. Hyunji's cry can be heard throughout the town. 

The next day, after the burial of Laura, Jor was informed by one of the elderly women that Hyunji has a mark on the side of his neck. Those who are born with any marks on their bodies are doomed to be taken away by "Emzalu" when they reach adulthood. These marks appear on a baby because of their actions in their past life. After knowing this, the next day, Jor took his son to a temple nearby. Jor took his son to the elder monk to check his fate.

Elder Monk: So this is Hyunji?

Jor: Yes this is my son, can you please check on Hyunji. He was born with a mark on his neck, and those who have these marks are doomed to be taken away!

Elder Monk: hmmm....this mark......

Jor: Can you help my son please?

Elder Monk: (closes his eyes for a bit) hmmm....there is a way to help

Jor: Really?! What is it? 

Elder Monk: I will put a ritual spell on him, if work, he won't be taken away by "Emzalu". He will become immortal and will not die by any physical damage, magical damage, illness or disease. First we need a sacrifice.

Jor: What kind of sacrifice?

Elder Monk: This Ritual requires a baby ox, a feather from a raven, salt, and a handful of dirt that is used to bury a love one. Come back here again when you acquire these items.

Jor already had salt at home so all he needed was the rest. jor head back home with Hyunji. The next day he went to the forest to hunt for ravens. He spotted one while the raven was feasting on a dead mouse. He used his bow and arrow to kill the raven while it wasn't looking. He then took a feather from the raven and stored it in his bag. After that, he went to a family in the town who sells oxs. He bought a baby ox from the family and brought it home. The next day he went to his dead wife's grave and took a handful of dirt and went back home. In the morning Jor took Hyunji and went back to the temple with the Monk.

Elder Monk: This is a banned Ritual that hasn't been used for many years. A spell like this, after performing, cannot be reversed back. Are you sure you want to proceed with this?

Jor: Yes....anything for my son to live....he's all I have left...

Elder Monk: (nods) mmm...
