In the endless void of space, ripples in reality we're beginning to appear and split open revealing an enormous wormhole hundreds of thousands of miles in length. This rare occurrence signified the birth of a new gods. But never before had the wormhole be this big, never had the energy it radiates be so strong.
Many dieties started to gather around awaiting the birth of the new god. They all though to themselves 'ooh, will it be a god or true god. What species will it be'. You see this universe is covered with planets each with unique races residing apron them. There are many common races, humans are a good example. Humans are spread all over the universe making their appearance and language universal as time went on. They are smart creatures and have found various ways to become dieties just like the many demonic beasts of this world.
How do you become a diety you ask? Well its simple. In this world, there is a method of obtaining strength known as cultivation. It draws on Qi, the life force that all living creatures posses, and turns it into power to strengthen our body and soul. There are 9 stages to mortal cultivation before one undergoes the accession. The stages were all classified as mortal, earthly, tian Qi, divine worrier, immortal soul, martial ancestor, martial soul, martial dragon and heavenly saint. These stages are considered powerful for ordinary mortals but are regarded as insects to the ones in front of the wormhole. Why you ask? Because they are dieties who had already gone through accession.

A heavenly saint worrior may be powerful on even big planets but they are often referred to as pre-ascension. Most don't survive the process of acscenssion so they are commonly used as pawns of the ascended. The ascended are the next part of cultivation containing demigods, gods, true gods, elder gods and ancestrial gods. Any one of these stages are immortal and cannot die unless their soul is shattered.
