CHAPTER 3: THE TREES OF EDEN
The Garden felt alive beneath their feet as Adam and Eve walked hand in hand. It was a world of perfect peace—where every tree, every blade of grass, and every animal seemed to sing a song of harmony, a reflection of their unbroken bond with the Creator. The warmth of the sun rested on their skin like a gentle embrace, and the air was rich with the fragrance of blooming flowers and ripened fruit.
As they walked, the Garden revealed itself in new ways each day, as if Eden itself was a living reflection of their discovery—of each other, of the world, and of the One who had made them. Adam and Eve found joy in every step, delighting in the wonders before them.
But this morning felt different. There was a quietness in the air, not unsettling but filled with a deeper sense of awe. As they approached the center of the Garden, they saw it: a tree that stood taller than all the others, its branches wide and strong, its leaves glowing with light. The fruit hanging from its limbs shimmered like jewels, pulsing gently, as if filled with life itself.
Eve gasped, her fingers tightening around Adam’s hand. “Adam, look… this tree. It’s… unlike any we’ve seen before.”
Adam nodded, his gaze fixed on the tree, a quiet awe filling his heart. “It’s beautiful. It feels… different, doesn’t it?”

Before they could say more, they felt His presence. It was as though the very air shifted, warmed by the love and majesty of the One who walked with them. Adam and Eve turned, and there He was—Father God, radiant and full of peace, approaching them with a smile.

“My children,” He said, His voice filled with joy. “You have come to the heart of Eden.”
Adam took a step forward, his eyes still on the tree. “Father, what is this tree? It feels alive in a way… I’ve never felt before.”
God’s smile deepened, His eyes filled with the warmth of a loving parent. “This is the Tree of Life,” He said, gesturing to its golden branches. “Its fruit is My gift to you. It is a tree that brings eternal life, a reminder that your days are unending as long as you walk with Me. Eat freely of its fruit, for it is a blessing, a symbol of the life I have given you.”
Eve stepped closer, her fingers brushing one of the glowing leaves. A soft warmth flowed through her hand and into her heart, filling her with a peace she hadn’t known before. “It’s… beautiful,” she whispered, turning to Adam with wide eyes. “It’s as though the tree breathes with us.”
Adam nodded, reaching up to pluck a piece of the fruit. Its glow softened in his hand as he offered it to Eve, who smiled and took a bite. As the sweetness filled her mouth, an overwhelming sense of vitality washed over her. It was as though the very essence of life itself flowed through her veins. She passed the fruit to Adam, who ate in turn, and they both stood in silence for a moment, letting the peace of the Tree of Life fill them.
God watched them with joy in His eyes, the light of His presence making the Garden around them glow. “The Tree of Life will always be here for you,” He said softly. “Its fruit is a reminder of the eternal life I have given you, as long as you walk with Me.”
For a moment, everything felt complete. The Garden hummed with life, and Adam and Eve stood at the heart of it, feeling the Creator’s love flow through them.
Adam and Eve bowed their heads in gratitude, their hearts full of peace as they turned from the Tree of Knowledge. They continued their walk through Eden, the warmth of the sun and the life of the Garden surrounding them once more. Yet, even as they left the center of the Garden behind, the memory of the two trees remained in their minds—the Tree of Life, full of peace, promise, and the gift of life. The Tree of Knowledge, filled with mystery and the weight of a choice.
