The dagger pierced his heart as his last gasp of air was drawn, Lily stood with their dagger in hand, grinning. Lily stabbed him one more time, she had to know he was dead, she had to know,
She put her hand on his chest after getting the dagger out, the heart screamed, its scream getting quieter and quieter until she couldn’t hear anything.
She breathed in the cold air around her, its cold grasp making her shiver, she stood still looking at his body, and she chuckled. “Still as handsome as ever Asterath, even in death.”, the chuckle turned to laughter, the plan was on track now, the obstacle she once had was removed, and her time expanded to years rather than days, Lily walked towards the tall trees, the encasing shadow swallowing her up, she moved, each movement was meant with the sound of brushes or sticks breaking. She was being followed. Was it her brother? No, she thought, he wasn’t that smart to have figured out her plan, or was he? She quickened her legs, the sounds were getting closer, her heart beat like drums, her mind raced to the worst, her trees were now taller than ever, the darkness ever so dark, fear clawing itself onto her mind, being caught was least of her worries, the confrontation was the killer, the raising of voices, the shacking and the questions would be the end of her, Lily ran now in a full sprint, wasting every bit of stamina she had stored, she didn’t want to look back, she scared of their faces, their emotion, what they could do to her if they caught her, she yearned for the seraph to wake, the sound was getting closer now, the breaking of sticks and the shrugs of bushes now turned to footsteps, she didn’t have the time to dwell on her fears, she had no time at all, she had only from her calculations she had only 1095 nights before her mourning period is over, breathing became a chore, trees became hazy, Lily felt like she was about to pass out, she couldn’t sleep now, that would be wasting time and wasting time was a sin her father told her, and he was smarter then her, he knew everything she grinned as tears flooded her face, as Lily ran her white dress ripped as it exposed some of her old scars, Lily closed her eyes as to shield herself from the stalker, waiting became agonizing, seconds turned to years until she felt nothing, she opened her eyes, infront of her stood a Kal’kar, a white furred creature that was known to follow people around the forest like a pet until it was noticed. the small Kal’kar was cute but still young as Lily looked at it, she always liked animals, they weren’t like people, they were loyal and ever-loving if you were good to them but she wasn’t the best of owners. she didn’t allow herself to dwell on it as she got up to walk towards the end of the forest, the side of her stomach was purple, and touching it hurt but she had to get home, waiting in this forest would lead to death, she was lucky enough a Kal’kar was the only thing following her.

Lily soon saw the sprawling desert as the stone pathway led to her house, the forest would soon move revealing the dead bodies of her fiance and her brother, she only had to get home before the sun came up.
Lily loved her brother but she always saw him as a chess piece rather than anything living and it was time for the pawn to defend the king, the stone beneath her felt cold, and the light from the few lanterns that still were on gave no more than a dim light around her naked feet, scratches and cuts on her legs were things she barely registered as she finally arrived at the gate, the gate she so hates now was her saving grace, as she rang the bell on the right of her and yelled for help, her mouth was dry and her stomach was empty but that thought soon abruptly ended as the metal gate soon opened and guards rushed to her side, now she had to act.
-” Challer, What happened?!” One of the guards said, Lily looked at him in his eyes and whispered as tears went down her face “My brother killed my fiance, He is still in the forest hiding, please help.” the guards looked at each other confused about what to do until a voice grabbed their attentions “Into the forest, you no good desert rats, what are you waiting for?!”, Lily looked up to see him, her uncle, the head of Ar’vor in his garments ordering the soldiers to the forest, Lily bit her lip as she was escorted into the room, her uncle Elphans, who Lily hated with every fibre of her being.
