Hi, before you read the chapter I want to say that I have nothing against russia and I have only taken this as example. It could also be any other country with a similar regime. Even so I have to say that even though I was raised in Germany I'm born in Ukraine and naturally have some bad feelings towards the current situation. Just wanted to tell you so you don't misunderstand.
Enjoy
Chapter 2 Slaughter
Two figures were rushing threw the streets illuminated by the yellow lights of the lanterns on both sides. One was a young woman at most 16 years old, while the other one was a slightly older man seeming about 19 or 20 years old. The young man had dark brown hair that was only lurking over the hood belonging to the black coat he was wearing. The man's face was completely in the shadow and you could hardly make out the delicate features of the handsome face hidden under the mask of shadows.
The girl that was closely following behind the man was wearing a long brown cout that was covering everything from her neck to her tights. Long brown hair was falling down on her back and a beautiful face was illuminated by the lights from the lanterns. A strange atmosphere was swirling around her as she seemed to hurry behind the man.
But if closely looking one would see some strange things. For one there was a rope bind around her wrists that was pulling her. The other end of the rope was in the right hand of the young man that was crossing the street in a quick pace pulling the girl behind him. Another strange thing was that the coat she was wearing was only put over her shoulders leaving the arms free. If closely looking you could even see two pink peaks lurking out.
This strange pair was quickly going threw the twilight of the evening streets of Moscow. On both sides of the street five story buildings constructed of bricks were lining the street. Their facades were covered with gravity or had bricks broken in half. All of them had already seen better times.
"Why…?"
The girls voice drifted to the young man's ear. It had sadness and weakness mixed inside.
The man ignored the tiny voice and continued his quick steps. A few moments there was once again silence in the night streets. Then the girls voice came again.
"Why? Why have you killed him? What has my father ever done to you?"
The young man halted. His hidden face slowly changed expression. He turned around his two eyes locked onto the her. His melodic voice reached the girl.
"Ever heard of a nation called Ukraine?"
The girl shook her head and a wry smile appeared at the man's face.
"How could I even ask a pointless question like this? How could your father ever let you know about the things he was responsive for… the slaughter he had caused.
Anna, I will tell you what you father always tried to hide from you. His sins that have finally been taken revenge for."
"What sins? What could my father have done to reason his death?"
Anna couldn't hold her agitation. This man had just killed her father and abducted her and his reasoning were some strange sins her father was said to have committed. This was. Laughable, her father had never hurt anyone nor did he had a character that would willingly injure anyone around him. How could he that was even building orphanages and churches be evil enough for some random guy to appear and just shot him?

Suddenly the man started laughing, a dangerous light shines in his eyes and a strange of madness started to surroundings and him.
"You ask what sins? What would reason his death, what revenge would have him killed.
Little girl you know nothing about your father. His death being enough revenge? His death is nothing compared to the amount of deaths that were caused because of him."
"You lying."
The girl couldn't take it. This was her father this man was talking about.
"My father was a kind person, he has always helped the poor. He has even spend most of his money building schools, orphanages and other public facility's. What could he have done to cause death.
Your just some crazed guy who's sick mind is unable to see reality.'
She spat at the man. But the later just started laughing more.
" Schools, orphanages? Guess even he had to find a way to redeem his sins, hm? Girly you really don't know anything about this world to you.
I'm sorry to destroy you illusion, but you daddy was no kind guy. He has killed not directly, but through his comments and the man and woman did not number hundreds, they do not number thousands. It's fucking millions!
20 million humans have died, he hasn't killed them with his own hand s but rather used others. But does that lessen his sins?"
His voice changed.
" Women, children, men halve the population has been killed. And after all the slaughter they just tried to make all forget about them. Not only the Russians, the EU, the US all they wanted to forget their sins. The Russians the genocide they had made, the others the sin of not helping and turning a blind eye.
Now, 5 years later all of you have already forgotten. Fucking 5 years were enough for you to leave the death behind.
I said it were 20 million that died, but this were only the Ukrainian that died. Wanna now the amount of Russian soldiers that died in the fights? 5 million. Your great army used 5 million corpses to somehow beat our army of at most one million man.
But after to won, you didn't stop your slaughter. After all how could the great Russian army barly win with five million against one million. You had to kill more and change the numbers, right."
By now the girl was shuddering as she felt the resentment and hate in the man's words, but he hasn't finished. But even without him speaking it out loud she already knew what would come next. And this knowledge frightened her more then the emotions send out by the man.
"They didn't stop the slaughter on. First the men, then the woman and the children. In their madness they were hunting down the fleeing ones and killed them to.
And now guess who gave the command to continue? Who was responsible for the slaughter? Right it was your father. Of course he wasn't alone, there were some other guys too, that I have still to kill. And he hadn't a real choice he was pressured by all sides, the crazed soldiers and the cruel higher positions. But,… in the end he was also responsible.
So fuck, don't tell me he was kind and a good man. No matter how many churches and orphanages he builts, it will not change the fact that he was resposible for the deaths of millions. Believe me, I know much more about him then you or even your useless national service knows about him."
