Parker had never released such strong levels of rage before. The only thing that compared was when Alexis died, allowing him to jump back in time. He quickly looked to make sure Alexis was safe.
Chaos continued to roar all around them as Parker rushed forward to Master Sora’s side. He knelt down over him, reaching for his hand. Parker couldn’t believe how much blood there was.
“Parker…” Master Sora coughed. “You have the power to make everything right.” Parker’s eyes started to water. “You can stop both of them, but to do that, you have to let me go. I’ve lived a happy life, I’m okay with this. Don’t go back. Make me proud.”
Tears poured from Parker’s eyes as Alexis appeared by his side. She forced him into a hug as he sobbed.
“You despicable son of a—”
Parker heard Lara yell from nearby. He turned toward the yelling and through his tear-filled eyes he could see someone standing over Lara, who was still clutching her left shoulder.
Rage flooded Parker’s body as he blasted through the air, tackling Master Terra to the ground. Parker released a torrent of punches into the master’s face. After the first two hits, Parker wrapped his hands in rock gloves.
He felt a hand grab his shoulder and he assumed it was Alexis trying to stop him from going too far. Nothing was too far at this point.
“Parker,” Lara said, pulling Parker up to his feet. “You’re not that guy.” They looked down at the mangled face of Master Terra as he lay unmoving on the ground.
Parker wondered if he killed him but he could see the master struggling to catch his breath. He couldn’t believe that he had lost control like that, but there was a part of him that thought he didn’t go far enough. Master Sora was gone because of him and he wasn’t sure he’d be able to go back and fix it this time, even though Master Sora told him not to.
“I am that person though,” Lara said as she lifted a massive rock into the air over Master Terra. “Goodbye, Warwick.” She let go of the rock and it crashed onto the master’s body.
An uncomfortable silence filled the street as Parker stared at the rock. Lara’s chest heaved as she gasped each breath. He could see blood running down her chest from her shoulder wound. He wondered for a moment if it was a fatal wound but his gut told him it wasn’t.

A loud, piercing bang filled the air and Parker spun around to see what it was. Alexis was walking toward them and she dropped to her knees as red began to stain her shirt. His mind couldn’t comprehend what he was seeing as Alexis collapsed to the ground.
“No!” Parker teleported in the blink of an eye next to Alexis. He didn’t know what to do. Her abdomen was bleeding fiercely. He looked around in a panic and saw a woman standing fifty feet away, still with a gun raised in her hands. “What did you do!”
The woman stood in stunned silence. Her hands were shaking vigorously. “No… she got in the way…”
Parker saw the bottle on Alexis’s hip and he immediately knew what he had to try but knew that he wasn’t any good at it. He uncapped the bottle and streamed the water out of it and formed a bandage over the wound.
“Let me help you,” Lara said and she held her hands out over the wound. The water began to glow as the two of them tried to heal the wound. After several seconds, the blood slowed down to a trickle and the wound closed on itself.
Lara turned to the woman and raised her right hand out toward her. “You Nimps will never learn!” she yelled. “You’re powerless!” The gun crumpled in her hands, breaking her fingers in the process. “This world needs to be renewed!”
The woman rose higher into the air and Parker could see the fear in her eyes. He knew what he had to do, and no decision had ever been harder. Parker raised his hand behind Lara’s back. Lara dropped her arm and started grasping at her neck like someone was choking her. The woman began falling through the air but to her luck it wasn’t high enough to kill her, although something would probably break.
Lara turned and looked into Parker’s eyes. “I can’t let you do this again…” Tears poured down Lara’s face as her eyes went blank.
Parker dropped to his knees, sobbing. “What did I do?” he screamed.
Alexis was lying on the ground with her eyes closed until she heard Parker scream. Her eyes shot open and she sat up, grabbing at her side where she’d been shot. She could see Parker kneeling and sobbing uncontrollably but she didn’t know why. Looking around to figure out what happened she saw Lara, lying, unmoving on the ground.
“Parker…” she muttered as she grabbed his hand, pulling him into her. He continued to sob into her shoulder as she held him. Sirens began blaring nearby. Alexis knew they had to get away but didn’t know what to do. She could see Master Sora’s body close by. It may have been the wrong thing to do but it was all she could think of so she yanked Parker’s arm and forced him over to the master’s body. “Parker, we need to get out of here. Take the three of us back to the castle!”
Parker continued to sob as he grabbed Master Sora’s limp arm. The next moment everything was quiet to Parker. The chaos of the street was gone and had been replaced by the rumbling of the waterfall.
