Chapter 3
At first, I thought everything would be fine.
"I'm sorry for my mistake because of what you witnessed," said the knight to Princess Serenitha.
Serenitha rises from the ground after collapsing and speaks softly, "I'm usually composed. I'm sorry you had to witness this side of me."
"I didn't have a name or origin; no one in the world knew me. I was nothing because of a girl who changed my life, and that's you. I dedicated myself to you, stood by your side. I never deluded myself; you didn't know me."
[Serenitha]: "I know you, Simon, the boy I saw in the alley that day."
A smile forms on his face. "I'm grateful to remember you."
As the knight Simon incessantly prattles about his loyalty and how he finds her appearance beautiful as always, Serenitha couldn't understand what was going through that man's mind. Yet, he seemed to have no ill intentions.
My situation now feels like a battlefield; I'm nearly 18 years old. My life at home will turn into a battlefield.
But suddenly, everything changed after I got sick. I want to confront him again.
Duke Vittorio di Amprazio
Like the first time, but without regret this time.
It wasn't possible for her to involve herself in the family's internal war for succession due to her illness. Somehow, the Duke showed the least interest in the family. Nevertheless, he treated her normally.

As the knight speaks of his loyalty, Serenitha hurries to her room.
[Serenitha]: "Well, it seems I need to make a plan."
She closes the door behind her, leaving the knight to guard it. She takes out paper and pen, starting to jot down her plan and the information she has to bring down the Duke.
What I'm doing now isn't driven by revenge or anger, but I know, I know the Duke is a dangerous person with strange intentions. I know he's not a good person after killing two people I already know.
She draws a line and begins writing first.
The Duke wants me for a specific purpose. He wants me alive. He didn't sketch any relationship with me, treating me as a dead person and trying to hide it by being gentle with me in front of others.
The Duke doesn't know that I was studying and didn't get any teaching from him.
Three, and this is important, my mother's family. Every time she contacts the Duke, he's overwhelmed with anger.
In this kingdom,
There are three dukes; the first is my father, Duke Vittorio di Amprazio, a warrior of three long wars.
The second is my mother's family; I don't know much about them except that they're a wise and truly dangerous family.
The last is the ones I know nothing about; they are the border guards.
There are few families who hold the right of the guard.
*The Guard*
It's a position granted by the king himself. The kingdom is vast, so the guards are important and the strongest for the kingdom.
They allow the passage of any major family from outside and are always fighting.
They control the movement of every war.
Despite being large, the kingdom has two other neighboring kingdoms.
As the princess writes and ponders her servant knocks gently on the door. "Miss, it's Amy. I felt a shiver down my spine when I heard her voice, and the idea came to her.
I was in a state of readiness and extreme coldness. I opened the door and leaned against it, speaking with a cold voice, looking at her with my deep blue eyes.
"How dare you poison me?"
[Amy]: "What has a girl like you feeling arrogant suddenly for no reason?"
"Oh, look at that. Even though she left poison in the cake, which is like medicine to me, she denies it, trying to make me seem crazy now?"
"Okay, I'll be the crazy one for you."
She grabs her by the hair, closes the door, and puts her head close to the fireplace.
[Amy]: "What are you doing? Have you finally gone mad and planning to kill me?"
[Serenitha]: "Yes, indeed."
Amy's mind was flooded with terrifying thoughts in those brief moments. The person in front of her was no longer an ordinary girl; she was dead inside with a cold face.
[Amy]: "Miss, I... I'm sorry."
"Oh, look at this prostitute. She thinks an apology will work now. You're already part of my plan. I'll make you a good person."
[Serenitha]: "Miss? Honestly, you know very well from your personal shepherd and your mastery of lies."
[-----]: "Then why did you plan to kill me?"
This girl is indeed good, but her thoughts, why only that? She was thinking of killing me; she surely doesn't know the story of the poison and its effect on me. No one knows.
Amy didn't speak; did she burn her face to tell me? No, that's a bad idea.
I'll find another idea.
