Sometime later as Kyle nears is 16th year of life an outsider would say he has a happy life. A caring family, some friends and smiles and laughs often. Those wo heard of his shimmering scales thought it was just a rumor or a lie with time and thus now nobody really thinks tha there is something odd about him.

As an apprentice merchant it is now the time to fullfill a quest for the merchant guild to be acknoledged as a fullfetched merchant after learning for 3 years under his new father.

There is practically a guild for everything and the usual procedure is that once someone starts to be the apprentice they are registered at the responsible guild and after some years, usually something between 2 to 5 years, or if their mentor thinks them ready, they start a quest for the guild and if it is fullfilled then they can officially join the guild as some kind of junior member and establish their own shop or whatever.

So now Kyle is on his way to the capital city Kingshill with a little trading caravan of 5 wagons and has a month to make a profit of 50% or more. This may sound harsh to many people to let a 16 year old person plan a whole trading caravan by himself and be required to make it safe and profitable but such are the hardships of becoming a trader in a country plagued by war wheer people either want to become heroes or escape from warduty through being in a guild.

The good he decides to trade with are weapons and armors since his home city, Dragonfist, is located near the mountains and has a good supply of ores. He hired some A rank adventurers and they do their job perfectly. There are many bandits on the roads or deserters trying to overthrow the current government thus guards are very expensive these days.

The Adventurers are part of the Adventurers guild. Their ranks are structured with the weakest rank being G becoming better until the rank of S. Higher ranks are practically unobtainable if you don't kill a dragon by yourself or something similar.

Thus an A rank adventurer is one of the top percentage in terms of strenght and could be considered on the level of the Governors guardians and those are really strong since wars break out every few months somewhere across the lands of this continent.

Some may say an A rank adventurers party is overkill, but Kyle made an agreement with them saying that any loot they find they can have and if there are leads to an bandits outpost or hideout then the caravan can make a little detour and raid it if the adventurers feel safe about it. 50% of the loot will then be taken by Kyle and the other half goes to the group.

Now after raiding multiple bandit hideouts the capital is in sight and Kyle already has earned more money than the adventurers cost him.

Now finally being able to do te actual trades with the local merchants is easy and thus with his way back toward Dragonfist he made a profit of about 80% and would easily become a member of the Merchants Guild.

Sadly not everything works this fine. After selling the weapons it is publically announced that the country was attacked by its 2 neighbour kingdoms and an empire to the south and that everybody exceeding the age of 16 and not being part of a Guild at this moment has to join the arms and fight for the country.

Upon trying to leave the city with his caravan he is asked to show his Guild membership that he has not gotten yet and was dragged towards the armory, equipped with a badly worn leather armor, a copper sword that has seen better days and a fairly decent oak shield.

Afterwards leaving the city in the opposite direction of Dragonfist he has to join the company that defends the north and was started to get trained daily in a boarder fortress that is not in the first line of defense but pretty close to it.

I know this story is probably very bad etc. but keep the negative attitudes to a minimum ok? im tryin to figure out writing at all and since trying to start a good story didnt work because i always thought "this is waayyy tooo bad" im doin this, maybe this way i'll get better xD
