Wanna try death?

Wanna try death?

People say nothing is impossible; I don’t believe this; I do nothing every day.

I went to Ian’s house to borrow some sodium metal powder that he was left with for my video project, in which I had to show how sodium metal reacts with different things. I also had to discuss all of that with Ian. But all I ended up doing was (as I said earlier) NOTHING, well nothing except for 4 hrs of hardcore gaming on Ian’s Xbox. So, I just took a small glass bottle of sodium metal power from Ian and left his house at about 8 p.m.

Soon I was on the street where my house was, and tonight, unlike every day, something was wrong. From what I saw, all the lights were out at my home. Not a single light bulb was on, and not a single lamp was glowing. It seemed like it was pitch dark in every corner.

“Mom! Open up. I’m home.” I yelled and pushed the doorbell.

No response. All I heard was the sound of the doorbell echoing in the hallway, which was followed by a creepy or rather, a weird sound. I am not sure about it, but I think it was the sound of someone walking on a puddle of water.

A strange fear was building up inside me that told me something was not right. I dug inside my back and hopefully found a duplicate key. Upon unlocking, a cool breeze brushed against my face that made me tremble a bit. A familiar smell reached my nostrils, which I couldn’t figure out.

This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it

“Mom!......Dad!” I screeched. “Where are you guys? Is everything alright?’

Still no response.

I dashed to their room, but no one was there. I went to my room, the living room, and the guest bedroom, but all were empty. Also, the familiar smell was getting stronger slowly and slowly.

I guess now that they went out somewhere for some reason. They don’t usually do this without informing me, but I’m sure they had some problems. I also tried calling them, but both had their phones switched off. All of this was starting to freak me out. But I didn’t have the time to freak out and stuff. I had a lot of assignments to work on, and so I started.

I went to my room and was about to switch on the lights, when, in less than no time, I heard it again. I heard that weird sound again, like someone was walking on a puddle of water. It looked like it was coming from the kitchen. I was scared, but I had to check out whatever it was. I made my way slowly through the hallway to the kitchen. It was dark all around. I tried switching on the lights, but none of them was working. The power supply was cut off, maybe. The weird smell that I have been sensing was most emphatic here, in the kitchen. Mayb- Oh Shit!

“Oh, My God! Who the hell are you!” It happened in the blink of an eye. A tall, muscular man was in the kitchen, near the stove, all of a sudden. He looked familiar. It felt as if I had seen his face, but where?

His piercing eyes caught mine, and he whispered with a smile, “Hi there Ethan! Wanna try death? I’m sure you’ll like it.”
