-Welcome to Over Earth.
A giant world of epic proportions, much bigger than any other and in fact so large that no man or woman with a lifespan of under 1000 years may ever hope to even experience one forth of it. It was practically its own little universe with endless races and continents, countless gods and an infinite amount of mortal humanoids and beasts.
It is of course also a world in which the rule of the strong has been established from the very beginning and has been predominant ever since. No one dared to change it, the weak have no right to voice their opinions and the strong had no reason to, since it was very much in their favor.
And of course the unquestionable law of the world and this universe itself, even above the one of power, the law that was dictating this endlessly both beautiful and terrifying world: the law of Magic.
The essence of this world, the power that if mastered could elevate you above all and give you all power and status that you might ever want, a system designed to help all mortals and immortals alike by presenting them with powers that would grow with mastery and over time, a system that would express the status of one person in values easy to understand, value that would quite literally tell you your own worth, your value.
But the thing about being powerful was that there would always be someone above you. Even the strongest human could only have a fraction of a deity's power. And a deity could only bow and be submissive to the true god, the one above them all, the only true exception when it comes to this rule...
Our little story begins in a little continent of about 80.000 km², a territory so mindbogglingly large that it could easily be its own small planet but here it was nothing but a small continent somewhere far of from the rest of the world. It was cut out from it for 1 particular reason.
4 Reasons actually.
-This continent was divided in 4 empires that each had one dominant race in it. Humans in the north, demi humans in the south, demons in the east and elves in the west with the some being mixed in other empires. Mostly as slaves naturally.
The lands right now were engulfed in another war and each race called out to their respectable deity for help. Like it has been done countless times before, each race presented their greatest warriors to their gods and prayed for them, offering large quantities of blood sacrifices to pay the price of the power they begged from their gods.
Those 4 men and woman then received the gods essences each and they became champions, the greatest honor a man or woman can ever have. They became insanely powerful and each of them was prepared for the war, a war like there have been thousands of before and was waged for reasons that were long forgotten, with only the hate from millennials ago remaining. Each of them now held unique abilities with undeniable destructive powers that would only grow in the future and after a short period of training they each joined the war in the front lines as to bring glory to their race.
The representative of the humans fought with a bow and had amazing destructive powers when it came to large scale battles, meaning he was perfect for wars just like this one. He immediately activated his magic and spread a sickness among the other races by simply infecting them with the essence that was flowing through his body. The more it killed the stronger it became and more it infected, he erased half of their forces in a month with a few of his spells and continued on fighting on the front lines, spreading his plague.
The representative of the demons fought with a single one handed sword and while she was not the best in the beginning, she would devour the essence of others and grow almost endlessly more powerful. She took the chance her enemy gave her and wandered the by plagues haunted battlefields and took whole armies upon herself while slaughtering them and growing stronger for her thirst and hunger was endless.
The representative of the elves fought with a scythe. Knowing his strengths, he straight up went for the strongest generals of the enemies since nobody could beat him in small scale battles and he was the best when it came to assassinations. The champion of the elves was known for being an unstoppable machine of death and could only be stopped by other champions. But then again, this would have been a small scale battle and they all knew that...
And the last one, the champion of the demi humans. A large man that fought using a giant two handed sword and would fight with endless rage. No armies could survive when he entered the battle and he would loose his mind in endless slaughter until the last of his enemies was killed. He was best known for large scale battles and could take out even behemoths all by himself, giants that even the gods would not go against easily.
And now those 4 were fighting against each other as it has happened countless times before, the war went on for years and the champions would not dare to enter fights with each other, they fought wars alongside their armies or would take out high priority targets but as soon as they felt one another in their close proximity, they would retreat.
Of course that had terrible consequences as the lands were now more devastated than ever and war and death, hunger, and plagues ravished the continent, each race that was hoping for a fast and clean victory was now in despair and only did not end this horrible war because none wanted to appear weak.
Finally after another few years the races decided to end it with a final battle between the four, the ones that decided to create them thought that it was only fair that with their death it would end.
They met in the middle of the continent and without exchanging even one word started the battle.
It was something every humanoid would pay all his fortune to see and at the same time no one dared to come even close to the battlefield for even the air there was deadly now, quite literally.
Finally after 10 long and agonizing hours, only two were standing now and the demon slit the throat of the elf woman, ending her life even though she had already suffered endless cuts to her delicate body before.
Standing there on the destroyed battlefield the demon laughed in joy and deliberately ignored his deep wounds. They were not deadly, however he knew his time came nevertheless
He looked towards the sky one last time and had a giant grin as the godly essence flowed out of his body as a black energy and together with his life force it flew towards the sky to the south.
…............................................................................
-4 deities sat around a large table that seemed as if it was created the way it was because of how perfect it looked. They sat in a large castle that was stationed in the sky and seemed to be hold in place by an invisible power as the clouds floated away beneath it. The only reason it was not frozen with ice was because of the deity that lived inside and the power that protected it.
A tiny bit of black essence entered the room and floated towards a man clad in a black robe, a chubby man that had a large grin on his face and gladly received the essence.
It quickly turned into a round coin with an opening in the middle which was put onto a stick that had hundreds of other coins of the same nature on it.
Playfully touching those coins and with a giant smirk he then told the rest. “Hehe, I am leading. Honestly, it is starting to get boring now... Well, but then again, I can't get enough of it hehe.” The chubby man in black enjoyed his moment.
A woman clad in pale green sighed loudly and they could see a face beneath her hood that could be best described as skin stretched over a skull. “God dammit... they never learn, there should be a rule to never let Hunger have his time and he should be the priority number one, but noooo!” She threw her arms in the air and shook her head in disapproval.

A third woman joined them, clad in white her pale looking face looked unhealthy and was covered in strange marks, one would certainly not want to shake her hand the way she looked and smelled. No, mortals would instinctively avoid her from miles away by simply smelling it. “To be fair, after Wars champion went on a rampage 2397 years ago and our game ended in mere days because they were dumb enough to face him head on, a rule has been established by the mortals to not just simply fight the champions of War as he would always dominate. But no one seems to figure Hunger out. That's bullshit...” Despite her saying this, she was the second place in their little meaningless game.
The fourth and final joined them with a loud sneer, clad in a red armor and the largest of all of them.. “A bunch of pussies is what you are. Only Death would ever face my champion once in a while and only one on one, even though it would always end fast it is still the most fun we had in the last hundred years.” He was mad at them because he was loosing right now, having straightforward powers his champions rarely used their brains and got outsmarted easily.
They then each became quiet for a while. Weeks actually. They each sorted some hings out in their minds and gathered all reasons they had for the drastic measures they were about to take. Measures that if done correctly would change this world forever.
All of them thought about certain things and the endless games they played ever since they were banished to these lands, they played as to pretend to not care and loose themselves in minor matters, but they knew it was far from the actual truth. How long have they gathered their resources and waited for this perfect moment...
Finally death pulled something out. A container with a sphere of blinding light in it. The most important thing a being could have and arguably the one true thing that actually belonged to you, that special essence that made a sentient being so different from an animal, a soul.
She took another 3 such containers and gave each deities presented here a soul of their own.
“I finally found the last one.” She simply stated but was ignored as the others stared at those souls with maddening looks and were consumed by rage and anticipation.
“Are we really doing it?” Pestilence then asked worried after calming herself down and thinking about what consequences their plan might bring upon them.
“What if we are found out?” Hunger asks.
The red man sneered and looked with rage at the two that voiced complains and uncertainty after such a long time of careful planning.
But he was interrupted by death. “And what if they simply decide to finally get rid of us? Or what if Atlas out of nowhere decides to drop the skies on our heads? What if tomorrow the almighty one will decide we are no longer needed? No, there is no value in your fear brethren. We were created for a very specific reason but have been ever since shunned and finally bound to this dammed place by others for they fear us and what we mean, what we stand for, and what we could do to this damned world. It is time to do our duty.” She simply stated and despite her calm as always appearance, she was just as excited as the others and how could she not, bringing the death upon all life was literally her purpose.
War nodded but then looked at the soul in his hands. “...are you sure they won't break?” He was not exactly worried but he did not trust those weak mortals either.
Hunger then finally got over his initial fear and grinned. “This is the best thing about mortals, their hunger for power can only be topped by me. No, as long as we hold them on the verge of insanity and an inch away from their breaking point, they will be fine...”
“Yes, we will do everything possible as to do what has to be done. They need to grow, but they need to grow stronger than any other has ever been. Their souls are the most powerful ones that I have ever seen since we were put in this prison brethren. If it won't work with them, then we have truly failed long ago and there are no excuses for us.” Death ended her rant.
Pestilence bit her nails and voiced another concern of hers. “But what if not all of them succeed. The chances are nearly inexsitent already, but for all of them to be able to...”
Death hit her fist on the table, gathering all attention on her. “This is why we will do EVERYTHING possible to make it happen. This is our first and only chance. Do not take it lightly, either now or never... 16 years, this is how long it should take.” She looked towards war with expectations.
War grinned. “Good, so another war in 16 years, should be done, greater and merrier than it has ever been!”
Death nodded her head. “Very well, I believe we all have now work to do. Lay the groundwork and strike, they have to be perfectly prepared and ready, both mentally and physically. Use all your resources, there won't be another time.”
Like this 3 of them stood up and left the castle, returning to each of their respectable places above their part of the continent and doing their part of the plan.
War sat on his chair and trembled from excitement.
How could he not? Soon the whole world and every one of them would be in his element and the world would burn in the red flames of war, leaving nothing but black ashes behind.
As he looked down, he saw a man, a demi human he had chosen for a very special task as he went about his simple and insignificant daily activities.
“The child must be prepared properly.” He grinned and opened the container, letting the soul go free and guiding it towards the woman that was married to the demi human, letting it enter her body and guiding it towards an already forming body of a child in its early stages.

First thanks for reading.
Second, I plan to have my chapters to be around 10k words so they will be quite long.
Now you might ask why the human had a bow and why I chose the way it was or what to expect from my fiction in the future. I will try to answer that.
Why the human with the bow?
Well, I made the humans stand for Pestilence and this rider of apocalypse happened to use a bow. Why I made it so? It was my subtle way of telling that humans are literally cancer ;) A bow would fit the elves better, yes I am also familiar with this cliché, thanks for pointing it out, but elves are elegant and calm beings, kind of fits death more rather than cancer and aids, and ebola, dontcha think?
Why is death not black? Well, in the bible death is the pale green rider, hunger stands for black. Just the way it was intended to be bro, don't shoot the messenger.
What you can expect in the future? Well, let's just say I was inspired by Those who aspire to become gods and darksiders. (see what I did there?) It will be a tale of a man with a really shitty childhood and how he will grow into an extremely powerful being, however all of this will be for a reason.
He will have a shitty childhood not so I will bait you into sympathizing with him but more because he will be manipulated into growing into someone who values nothing but power and will develop a need for this power.
He will be OP as fuck (spoiler lol) but not so we can have a moment where he takes a bunch of nobodies out and the reader can jerk off to the empowerment porno, no, he will be powerful because he will have to face beings even more frightening than himself.
What is the weapon on the cover? His endgame weapon, but much much later.
Why the name is Kratos? Well, the MC name will be Kratos. Kind of clickbait title but I ain't even sorry. Deal with it.
I think this is enough for now.
