Prologue

First, there was nothing.  Then there were the Ancients.  They were collosal beings the size of mountains.  They created 'The World'.  It was like nothing before.  It was a circular orb, but it was so much bigger than that.  It was like a star.  This is what is now refered to as 'The World'.  Then the Ancients created the world areas, the 'continents'.

First, there was the main region, where all the nobles and highborn live, and control the elements Wind and Fire.

Then there was Nicol, the slums, the people of whom can control the elements Stone and Metal.

Then there was Solas, the people of whom can control the elements Light and Lightning.

Then there was Licron, the people of whom can control the elements Oak and Leaf.

And then The Ancients created the races.

There were the demons, which were confined to the demon continent.

Finally the created all the bugs and animals, free to roam wherever they chose.

And then they created food and drink, and magic.  And then they disappeared. No-one knows to where they went, but there is a theorem that one lives in each continent, waiting for the day where they will be united once again to defeat the demon king and all of his loyal subjects.
