It is a warm summers day, the suns heat was countered by a refreshing breeze. Birds were chirping their songs of joy in almost every tree. One tree was silent. One tree was suspicious.
A figure lay on the branches, cold, calculating...waiting. It eyes up its target. It readies the trigger.
A tall steel wall surrounds a large building. Many guards stand outside the fortress, defending something, or someone...
Two guards approach each other with calmness, one reaches into his pocket and pulls out a deck of cards.
"I brought ONE to pass the time" the guard with the deck of cards says happily.
The other guard also smiles "Michael you sly dog, I'm gonna beat you into the ground!"
The guards play the game happily for some time. Meanwhile the figure in the trees decides to act. It pulls the trigger.
Skull fragments and brain matter hit the wall alongside a spray of thick red blood.
"MICHAEL!" The guard screams in agony as his best friends' headless body slumps to the floor. He reaches for his radio only to find is hand is missing. The sniper had already acted and blown the guards hand to smithereens. The guard screams as the final shot is lined up...

The figure drops from the tree and stands tall. "Boss, this is Thomas. The coast is clear, no one was alerted." he speaks into his earpiece.
A female steps out from behind the tree, hidden by the shade.
"Good work Thomas."
"Well you know me, Ava. Anything to get the job done faster."
Ava and Thomas step from outside the shade of the tree. Thomas is tall and pale, his short black spiked hair had a streak of blue along the left side of his head. Ava is short, her smooth skin almost glistens in the sunlight, her long brunette hair flows in the breeze.
Thomas smiles as he slings his rifle over his back, "We are not done yet, lets finish up here."
The pair walk towards the tall wall surrounding the building, planting bombs as they get close. They take cover and trigger the explosives. In a deafening blast the wall comes crumbling down.
Inside the building a table of four people were discussing plans as the room rumbled. A soldier burst into the room explaining that the wall had been breached.
"Thank you, gentlemen I believe this is the perfect opportunity to begin testing." a man in a black lab coat spoke calmly despite the situation. He stood up his face hidden by a black steel mask designed to look like a monster, its teeth detailed into the mouth area and two eye shaped holes revealed glowing green irises.
"Deploy the experiment".
Outside an alarm sounded, multiple doors were sealed shut. All but one, from this door Thomas and Ava could hear scraping sounds, metal crunching and heavy footsteps. Within a second the door was shredded by purple claws and a six foot tall creature sprinted out on all fours. It's body a deep purple with black markings leading up to its head, which housed many sets of teeth and glowing purple eyes.
"I really don't like the look of this" Ava said whilst drawing a sword from her back.
The creature loomed above the pair, ready to pounce.
